A young girl, approximated to be 8 years old, wakes on the steps of a police station. She has no memories, no language skills and no leads on her identity. The circumstances of her sudden appearance certainly isn’t where the strangeness stops though.

Nearly 10 years later, she’s been living with her adopted family and her father passes away in a tragic accident. Though her origins are still a mystery, there is one detail about her that is well known by her and her inner-circle: she can communicate with the dead. However, after her father dies, she finds she can’t find his spirit.

In an effort to track him down, she looks into the bigger world of the supernatural around her and winds up falling down a proverbial rabbit hole full of gods, monsters and demons. The story follows her journey into mystery where she learns more than she could have ever imagined.

Bronwyn O’byrne haunts the borderlands between the playful and the unusual from her campy humid sanctuary. Her artistry, refined in Philadelphia's storied art schools, gravitates toward narrative-driven visuals and meticulously crafted characters. Gothic horror, Fairytales, and Broadway musicals stir her imagination, while comedy and animation provide her creative foundation. She also enjoys playing D&D, horror video games, and fantasy rpgs.

Bronwyn's professional journey includes collaborations with small studios, local and international businesses, publishers, and independent companies.

Currently, Bronwyn pours her passion for storytelling and ghostly hauntings into co-creating Discordant, a comic that uses magic and supernatural elements as a lens to explore the raw human experiences of grief, loss, forgiveness and connection.

Lyssa Bastian was named after a Princess and a Spider-Witch from a really, really, really terrible science-fantasy movie named Krull— How could she not become an author?

Since she was able to string together sentences and write her ABC's, she's been writing stories of all sorts. From stories about warrior princesses rescuing friends from a volcano of tomato soup, to tales of angsty teenagers discovering super-powers and the power of friendship, she's honed her craft daily. Just ask her about the many, many totes filled with these handwritten novellas.

Taking inspiration from a variety of authors, and even learning from a best selling author’s wife in middle school, she has worked hard on developing her own voice. Many of her stories draw on personal experiences with life, love and grief. That said, she isn't afraid to step out of her comfort zone either and write new experiences.

This lady is bursting at the seams with stories to tell, and she can only hope that some of them reach the people that need them.

Aspiring to make a difference in the lives of others, Nadine has given her life to the service of others. After graduating college, she became an art therapist that primarily worked with children and teens. As much as she loved doing that, she never felt it was quite enough. After talking things through with her husband, Warren, the two began work as foster parents. One day, Maggie fell into their laps and Nadine fell in love right away, despite some of her quirks.

Height: 6’5”

Warren is a career military man who enlisted in the army a few years after high school, following in his father’s footsteps. Most of his friends describe him as “the sort of person you’d hate if he wasn’t so nice.” Supportive of his wife’s career and life goals, he became a foster father and he couldn’t have been more suited for the job. He and Maggie were fast friends and the two share a very special bond.

Maggie has been with me for a long long time. I still remember dreaming her up as a twelve year old me and she’s been one of my closest companions since. She is stalwart, she is kind, she’s powerful and she’s such an unassuming young woman that just wants the simplest things out of life

Margaret “Maggie” Ann Spengler

One night when Maggie was only 8 years old, she awoke up on the steps of a police station with nothing but the clothes on her back no name and no memory

Maggie's childhood was filled with strange occurrences that caused her to her to move from one foster home to another. She created an atmosphere of unease in these homes, as she would speak to people no one else could see and move objects at will.

Each rejection caused Maggie to become more cautious and withdrawn. But, when she stepped into the welcoming home of Nadine and Warren Spengler something shifted. Their warmth and patience chipped away at the walls she had built around herself and her heart. As her abilities emerged, she found only understanding and support from Nadine and Warren. They embraced her quirks, turning confusion and fear into acceptance, and slowly Maggie felt the heavy weight of solitude lift. Eventually they decided to adopt her, solidifying their bond and transforming into a tight-knit family.

Together, they forged a safe haven where Maggie could blossom and truly be herself.
