hanging out with other lgbt people is just so,,, rejuvenating
allo gays: wow the media keeps portraying us as sex crazed freaks its awful allo gays: *act like sex crazed freaks and have gay strippers at pride parades and sell leather bondage shit*
me
gay people can be as sexual as they want the problem lies in straight media viewing us as over-sexual deviants with no other culture or history.
fuck off op with ur trying to legitimise homophobic stereotypes
anyway if i can deal with having cis people in the community u all can deal with aros and aces
actually no ? bc the community was designed with cis people in mind, so long as they are some form of lgbp. but if an ace/aro is a cishet, they have literally no place in the community
it’s not about tolerating someone who oppresses a faction of your identity, it’s about what the lgbt community was literally, historically founded for
Cookie Monster is all wound up. The Count has him hold up his furry blue fingers, count them (of course), and blow on each one in turn as if he were blowing out a birthday candle. Afterward, Cookie declares, in his familiar growly voice, that he feels much better.
“Hey! Me feel terrific! Me calm. Me relaxed.”
You won’t be catching this scene on HBO or PBS. It’s part of a special initiative called Sesame Street in Communities. Free materials, including videos, books and games, will be released today to help parents and caregivers, in turn, help young children cope with traumatic experiences.

i’m looking at the sistene chapel and one of the images of God has just the THICKEST ass
Michelangelo had NO reason to give God a thick juicy ass, but he did. He did that for all of us.
“Shaving is part of the patriarchy!!! No woman does it for herself!!” screams the girl who grows three thin little blonde hairs, who isnt burdened by ingrown hairs and constantly feeling itchy when she doesn’t shave.
The word aphobe makes me so angry because people don’t use it to mean the niche crowd of actual aphobes, they mean anyone who is at all critical of aro/ace people and their relation to the lgbt community
something that people need to understand in this pride pda discourse is that like… lgbt kids are exposed to heterosexuality every single day? gay boys are bombarded with half naked women everywhere they go and girls that like girls can’t go five steps without having a man invade their space and try to tell them how they’re confused about their identity. like. if a kid goes to pride i *guarantee* that seeing two men in daisy dukes making out will not faze them in the slightest. any kid who goes to pride is 99% of the time going to be LGBT and literally not going to care at all about any performative sexuality. like. i am almost 20 years old and i have seen same gender couples kiss in person MAYBE 5 times, and definitely never before i was 16 or 17. you guys just aren’t processing that lgbt children are sexualized whether they want to be or not at the hands of their het oppressors and to try and paint gay people as creepy pedophiles for pda-ing at pride is disgusting.
every time i see this on a post about sex ed i feel like my soul is physically leaving my body
You weren't even ALIVE during the aids epidemic, the fuck is your damage trying to claim aces can't say "we're here, we're queer, get used to it!"?
You do realize that the AIDS epidemic… never really ended, right?
The government, to this day, still fails to support and take care of people with HIV/AIDS, especially if they are poor, LGBT, or aren’t white. People are still needlessly dying of AIDS related complications because medication is not accessible or affordable. And many governments do not support preventative measures (condoms, clean needles, etc.) or education related to HIV/AIDS besides fearmongering programs like DARE. This isn’t ancient history, there are those alive today who are affected heavily by the AIDS crisis, whether it be as survivors themselves, surviving friends/family/lovers, or, y’unno… people who have it to this day.
So, yeah, I wasn’t alive in the thick of it but I sure as fuck can respect the memory of those who have died before me and respect those who are still affected, decades later. That saying has a significance that cannot nor should not be erased so pathetic, whiny, privileged cishets can weaponize this statement against the very people who need it the most.
Nothing about asexuality is queer. And everything about the ace community is serophobic, homophobic, transphobic, and sex shame-y enough that if ANYONE uses that phrase against LGBT people FOR ace people, they deserve to have the words slapped out of their mouths.
Nothing about asexuality is queer. And nothing about this ask is respectful.
Burn in hell.
You forgot the “not”
no, i didn’t, actually.
this site is so goddamn anti-recovery. i’ve been spending years trying to get better but everyone’s mindset of “if you spend every hour of every day wanting to kill yourself you’re valid uwu” was just making my health worse. everyone on this site would be doing much better if they would stop being so negative.
it’s as if you want to stay mentally ill. you would think that people so miserable would want their lives to improve. if you want to get any better, stop rejecting every bit of positivity you see and forcing your toxic mindset on others.
Im so tired of people adding their shitty negative comments onto other people’s post, especially that ugly edgy shit. You see someone putting out something positive about recovery, meaning they’re… recovering? and y'all make it all about yourself smh
so many things in this mogai/“queer community”/ace discourse on tumblr actually goes directly against what LGBT people have been fighting for for decades:
- all of these “sexualities” that are just describing how someone likes to have sex when LGBT people have been trying to explain to straights for years that our labels, our orientations, and our lives are NOT solely focused on sex and therefore inappropriate to mention in public or in front of kids
- asexuals joking (or being completely serious) about how gross PDA is, specifically gay PDA, when LGBT have been murdered for showing the slightest affection in public
- the neverending pride flags for mogai “sexualities” and now for mental illnesses? is frankly one of the most disrespectful things I have ever seen. People have DIED for our pride flag. It has a real, important history. It’s not something some socially awkward kid on the internet made in paint.
- so many people wanting to be part of the LGBT community without understanding that it’s not just some community for all outcasts, it is a political alliance with an important history
- the casual use of the term “queer” and the non-LGBT people who identify with it because they believe they are “different” and “not normal” and “that’s what the word originally meant” as if that’s not exactly why it was used as a fucking slur against only gay/bi/trans people for decades
- the general attitude of “I’m LGBT/queer because I’m different” when actual LGBT people have been fighting for EQUALITY, as in we don’t WANT TO BE SEEN AS DIFFERENT
it just all blows my mind and it honestly scares me because it’s dangerous. it’s fucking dangerous. we have so many cis hetero people trying to barge into our community and change it into the opposite of what it is supposed to be.
this isn’t going to end well for us.
