November 24, 2015: Celebrate the 5th anniversary of Tangled with these lockscreens, created from the beautiful concept art!
Hi everyone! A little shameless self-promotion here, but I started another Disney blog, @ev-angel-ine. It’s going to be different from my main blog, @smiles-begin, because it will be general Disney all the time, rather than focusing on a different movie each month. I’ve been working really hard to get it up and running, so I would appreciate if you took a second to check it out!

disney-begins Disney movie meme: Frozen | 7/10 favorite thing: Elsa’s ice powers!
Elsa’s powers are so versatile because they can both create and destroy. At times, she fears her own powers or tries to hide them, but as the story unfolds, we see that she can also appreciate them for their beauty and value them as a unique part of who she is. I think the development of her powers and her ability to control them is symbolic of a journey; throughout the movie, Elsa progresses toward self-love and confidence. It really makes Frozen a great coming-of-age story.

disney-begins Disney movie meme: Frozen | 6/10 parallels: Elsa accidentally hurts her sister.
Throughout the movie, Elsa continuously distances herself from her sister. She does so because she loves Anna and wants to protect her, but her fault lies in the fact that she kept her powers hidden from Anna for her entire life. The danger becomes that Anna is unaware of the potential consequences of being near her sister. She craves a close relationship with her sister so desperately, but it only leads to her own demise as Elsa’s unpredictable powers harm Anna -- the very thing Elsa was afraid of. However, we see at the end of the movie that Anna, despite being shut out for so long, still loves Elsa enough to sacrifice her own life in order to save her.

Hey, everyone! Admin Eeyore here!Â
I logged on today and was completely shocked at how many notes my Carl and Ellie post had!
This weekend, I’ll post a few more edits like it. If anyone has a request for a particular movie or theme, I’ll be happy to fulfill it.
Thanks so much!
Hi! I’m starting a new project involving the people of color in Disney movies. I’m trying to plan an appreciation week (or maybe a month, if I can find/make enough content to keep a consistent feed).Â
To help me with this, I’d like you to send me names or images of your favorite Disney characters of color.Â
If you want to send in an image but can’t find any good ones, try disneyscreencaps.com.Â
Thanks so much for your help! Please reblog this so more people will be able to contribute! I’ll use your recommendations to make edits and maybe even draw a few things.
parallels and similarities between The Little Mermaid and Brave
I’ve been working on this for a while and I’m very proud of it! I hope you like it!
Hey, everyone! This is something I posted on my main blog, smiles-begin, comparing The Little Mermaid and Brave. I thought I’d reblog it here, for those of you who aren’t following me there!Â
