i just know that i'm going to log in soon and see a crab rave, and get all excited because i think it's the big one--but it'll just be mitch mcconnell.

don't get me wrong, i'm very excited to crab rave for him, he's hugely responsible for the unending supreme court supermajority that's going to be fucking us for decades to come. i just want the other crab rave so badly.

My takeaway from the tadc finale

I have never been able to keep track of who most celebrities are. I just don't care. Jennifer Hudson and Jennifer Garner are both functionally the same person to me, and that person is "someone I may have heard of named Jennifer." So the other day when I heard somebody talk about the Cohen Brothers, all I registered was "prestige film directing team who are siblings."

And I said, "Um, I'm pretty sure it's the Cohen Sisters now."

Now obviously I was thinking of the Wachowskis. But you know what? I think I'm on to something. Let's forcefem the Cohen Brothers. I bet we would get some really interesting art out of it.

Kind of fucked thinking about the fact that there is one single American legally authorized to research the critically endangered pygmy raccoon in Mexico and it is, in fact, the same person who did Dashcon.

And is currently the only person from the United States legally permitted to research the critically endangered pygmy raccoons (Procyon pygmaeus) in Cozumel, Mexico.

For reference, this is me, BTW! I was 15 when I started Dashcon and 17 when it actually happens, and now study tourism’s impact on the critically endangered pygmy raccoon. I’ve been researching them before now, but due to Mexico’s laws, I’ve only been allowed to do data collection from abroad (so think surveys to tourists and video analysis on social media.) But now I’m authorized for in situ research!! Yippee! I even got a grant through my university as well to fund the whole project 🥺
