not that i don’t think she’ll be a good leader, but she’s SO old, and giving her 9 lives is gonna be.. a lot. she’s very likely gonna be the next leader the fandom complains about being too old. and do we REALLY need that??

i would like to see a leader from a different bloodline instead!! i’m kind of sick of the firestar family constantly getting super important roles (leader, med cat, dep, etc.) or just anyone somewhat related to him in some way. thunderclan needs a fresh start i’m sorry😭

SPOILERS FOR RIVER!!

i have a terrible feeling the erin’s are gonna make nightheart and sunbeam mates and here’s why:

- the scene where nightheart jokes that they should become mates and move clans is a dead giveaway on its own

- nightheart has already mentioned not feeling at home in thunderclan, especially since he’s constantly pressured by his clanmates over his heritage, so moving to shadowclan would be an escape, and now that he can switch as long as he has a mate, im almost positive he’ll use sunbeam to his advantage

- sunbeam lost her love interest which gives the erin’s plenty of reason to give her a new one, and since her and nightheart have already had one nice interaction… it’s quite obvious they’ll start looking for each other at gatherings and eventually become more than friends

- apparently warriors just isn’t warriors without two main characters being a couple anymore so who’s surprised

BUT there is chance for redemption!! maybe nightheart will turn out to be a huge asshole and just USE sunbeam as a way to join shadowclan, but sunbeam possibly won’t know this and will believe it’s true love when really, she’s nothing but nightheart’s green card. i think that would actually be a super interesting twist!!
