I'm becoming so fond of the idea of the touch-starved Qimir, and I do think it makes sense for a couple of reasons. For one, he just is a loner. Like is he attractive enough to find someone to hook up with at a cantina? Yeah, but I don't know if that's necessarily something he'd be interested in or spend his time doing.

Partially because he's weird. Look at him with Mae and how he makes up a whole other personality and won't even show her his face. Also in wanting the power of two, he's looking for a deeper, for life connection. Which seems to contradict how he treated Mae, but like I said - he's weird! He has trust issues despite trust being the thing he wants most.

Then also, his main form of physical contact with other people is violence. So he's probably not used to someone being gentle with him. He's always the one to touch Osha first too. I do think there's a difference if you're the one to initiate physical contact as opposed to receiving it. With the former, you're the one in control.

But what I love most about this is the additional layer it adds to episode 6. He's out there at the lagoon with Osha like, here I am! Fully naked! (And they just met!) Yet the first time she touches him (not even necessarily in a sexual context, this can be totally platonic), he's just like physically shaking because he's not used to it.

Ali stage doored tonight.

I was going to congratulate him and tell him that I came up to see this for the first time since previews and it was my birthday and how much I am enjoying his performance and support that he's standing on business about his beliefs but my whole brain was melted in the heat and I couldn't get anything more than a thank you out.

Still I'm so happy. I talked to so many people tonight. I can't stop crying.
