Tumblr @staff is determined to piss me off every single day this week, huh? I have work to do besides getting mad online, you know!

This week, they:

- Rolled out a hugely disruptive change that stole notes and recognition from creators, effectively kneecapping the entire point of the website, extremely suddenly and without running it by their volunteer beta testers first, and only rolled it back because people were canceling their premium memberships and turning off reblogs en masse

- Immediately followed up that debacle (which brought back attention to the time our CEO @photomatt stalked a woman off site after banning her fot making a joke about him and publicly revealed her private information) by suddenly banning a huge swath of trans women, the vast majority of whom had zero TOS breaking material on their blogs, for the official given reason of, and I QUOTE: "NO REASON AT ALL." (AFAIK most of these women have been reinstated as of writing this?)

- Matt immediately trying to distract us AGAIN, with some half-assed idea of making popular tumblr blogs into what, unpaid volunteer consultants? Anyway the first and so far only popular blog he decided to directly platform happened to be @prismatic-bell, who IS well known... by the small remaining non-white communities on tumblr for being a MASSIZE RACIST.

- Here are the !DOCUMENTED! instances of prismatic-bell's racism, ableism, and threats. (Xie have been reported several times, but tumblr would rather ban neet girls with fighting game blogs than open white supremacists.)

- Said all people suffering from addiction deserve to die.

- Tracked down a native american person's identity using their tribal enrollment and threatened to doxx them for disagreeing with xem.

- Spread already debunked anti-Arab and islamophobic myths and propaganda as well as racist comments about Arabs in general.

- Threatened to call the feds/cops on nonwhite activists who disagree with xem, an illegal and life threatening activity known as "swatting."

- Saw no problem with asking "ARE ABORIGINAL AUSTRALIANS EVEN HUMAN?" and doubled down when Aboriginal bloggers asked xem to stop.

- Is openly pro-genocide, pro-ethnostate, and pro-ethnic cleansing, on the side of white/european supremacy.

- Meanwhile tumblr is doing All That, the huge community of self-identified, open and proud NEO-NAZIS continue to go unbanned, and even have an actual Tumblr Community.

But hey, at least you can buy a stupid fucking crab emoji.

in junior year of highschool my art teacher would let our ceramics class play music of our choice off of her desktop. we usually used spotify or youtube but she did have one album downloaded on her computer. it was a halloween sound effects/ambience collection. i dont remember why she had it. there was a track on there called "burning screams" which was exactly what it sounds like. just a cacophony of screams alongside crackling fire. she only let us play it on very special occasions, and we would cheer and jump with joy every time. it was like a pizza party to us
