sometimes i like to image eleven traveling back in time and just reliving those moments with amy where he gets to fall in love with her all over again, gets to hear her laugh as he does something ridiculous, gets to enjoy the feeling of her hands near his neck as she fiddles with his bow tie while fondly reminding him, yet again, that bow ties aren’t cool. he’ll get to watch her eyes light up when he takes her to a new planet, he’ll get to witness her compassion, her bravery, and her strength as they fight to save the world, he’ll get to hold her hand because he’s scared of ghost trains (and he just likes the feeling of her palm pressed against his, fingers entwined with his own), he’ll hug her, whispering ‘gotcha’ into the curve of her neck (the closet he’ll come to saying ‘i love you’), while desperately wishing that he didn’t know her fate, that she could always travel with him.
