Welcome to Datawave Marine Science (DMS). This site supports an alternative to the state of engineering in the marine world. Modern engineering has evolved to become a business concern. The priorities of business dominate: protection from liability; maximization of profits; and increased revenue. We can not reverse the integration between engineering and business. But improvements are possible, with the reintroduction of scientific principles: quantification of reality; open collaboration; industry advancement; and serving the needs of society. The marine industry can greatly benefit from these principles. DMS exists to further this mission. You will find plenty of materials, tools, and other resources all for free.
