Mr. (Ant) Tenna's CRT TV Knowledge Videos

The first in my list from the knowledge horde. I've been viewing these through the lens of building headcanons for the character Mr. Tenna from Deltarune, but this list also works for anyone who wants to learn more about CRT TVs & how they work

Now, before I jump into this, I need to say this. It's one thing if you're just looking at these for research. But if you intend to try and repair a CRT TV yourself WATCH THE SAFETY VIDEOS FIRST! I cannot stress this enough.

I won't get into the exact science behind it, but because of the way that CRTs are made they maintain a high electrical charge even after they have been unplugged. It can be anywhere from enough to give you a nasty shock to enough to stop a human heart, depending on the size of the monitor and how long it's been since it's been plugged in. And it doesn't need to be discharged once, it needs to be discharged multiple times.

If you don't have proper safety equipment, or you don't feel comfortable handling this, don't open your CRT. When in doubt, just clean the outside and leave the rest to the professionals

By Triple R Restorations. ASMR quality video. No talking until the end. Not only does it get a thorough cleaning, parts are soldered, tested, and even vacuumed off. Lovely watch if you want some TV pampering brain itches. They guy also calls the TV an old man the he took off the street because he was no longer needed, so Tenna lovers will definitely be able to empathize with this one. About 16 minutes

Restoration SONY TV produced in 1990

By Metal Restoration Tools. Obviously staged, but it's a pretty good TV repair ASMR type video. You can imagine someone finding Tenna in that condition and cleaning him up. Probably minus the river water though. About 15 minutes

I'll probably be adding to this as I do more research or find more videos, so anyone interested may want to bookmark this post, at least until I can get a Masterpost set up. Also, if anybody finds something interesting related to CRTs that I don't have listed here, please let me know! I'll review it when I have time and possibly add it to the list
