Watching Critical Role With the Captions On
Dedications and excerpts from prefaces from books on bisexuality that are avaliable for free on the Internet Archive (links in transcripts).
Transcripts for text in images:
Becoming visible : counseling bisexuals across the lifespan - I dedicate this book to all of my lovers and friends, past and present, who have contributed to my understanding of bisexuality, the richness of my life, and the fullness of my being. I especially dedicate this book to bisexuals everywhere who long to be loves and appreciated for who they are and to people of every sexual orientation and gender identity who have the courage to continue the journey of becoming through every season of their lives.
Bi any other name : bisexual people speak out - For my daughter, Danielle the great - L.K & for us, beautiful bisexuals, we love you! - L.H.
Bisexual politics : theories, queries, and visions - To the memory of David Lourea, who inspired the revolutionary in so many of us, and to all those who have struggled and put their lives on the line so that we could come out and be free, with pride, rage, sisterhood, and love.
Bisexuality : the psychology and politics of an invisible minority - Dedicated to bisexual people everywhere - Come out, come out, wherever you are, It it our time to dance!
Bisexual women in the twenty-first century - To my son Rowan and the children of my community of lovers. To the possibilities that we have opened and that they will take in directions of which we have yet to dream.
Bisexuality : making the invisible visible in faith communities - As noted in the section on religious traditions, writers from different traditions contributed thoughtful pieces on bisexuality. We are grateful to Imam Daaiyee Abdullah; Rev. Dr. Kelly Brown Douglas; Chaplain Allison Kestenbaum, Jewish Theological Seminary; Rabbi Debra Kolodny; Rev. Will McGarvey, Community Presbyterian Church of Pittsburg, CA; and Dr. Kate M.Ott, Drew Theological School, for their essays.
Many people contributed stories for our case studies. They include Rev. Dr. Janet Edwards, Mc. Lacey Louwagie, Rev. Summer Shaud, and severl clergy and lay people who gave permission to publish their stories anonymously.
We are especially thankful to our friends and colleagues who identify as bisexual and who were infinitely patient as we discussed this work with them and sought their input. This book is much richer for their contributions, questions and challenges.
Bi any other name : bisexual people speak out - Juliet: O Romeo, Romeo! Deny thy father, and refuse thy name⦠O! be some other name: whatās in a name? that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.
Romeo: With loveās light wings did I oāer-perch these walls: For stony limits cannot hold love out and what love can do, that dares love attempt.
Shakespeareās tragedy, Romeo and Juliet, is about lovers whose warring families prevent their love. We bisexuals are also caught between our heterosexual and homosexual families. Weāre called by every other name but bi, and still we dare attempt our love. Thus, the title for our book.

i love the idea that setsuna moves in with haruka and michiru after months of knowing them, having taken them to be mature, self-sufficient adults like her, only to very quickly come to realize that:
michiru needs an entire separate bedroom vanity for her makeup collection, and if you move a single tube of lipstick half an inch to the left she WILL know and she WILL hunt you down, and she cannot leave the house under any circumstance without preparing for exactly 2.5 hours in advance harukaās sole culinary skill is chopping up vegetables, and her solution to every problem no matter how minor is to throw a truly superfluous amount of money at it until it goes away (hotaru got baby food on her onesie? better buy her seven new ones, just in case it turns out to be a common occurrence!!)
the thing is though, that having lived in serenityās basement guarding the time door for 10k years, despite the distinct sense that something is amiss, setsuna⦠really doesnāt know any better. haruka and michiru have the upper hand on her by default. setsuna stares in sheer amazement as haruka shows her how to operate a toaster, boasting āsee, i CAN cookā, and michiru passes through the kitchen only to stare setsuna dead in the eye and say ādo not believe her liesā

I donāt think this is how efficient markets are supposed to work.
Thatās obscene.
Notice how all the entertainment item such as toys and tv have gotten more affordable over the years, as necessities such as food housing and hospitol services have gotten significantly pricier.
Yeah somethingās wrong here.
Itās called a paywall. The rich only look after their own.
This is a pretty good demonstration of why capitalism doesnāt work in practice. One of the core concepts of capitalism is that people will only pay what they can afford so the market will adjust and most things will be affordable to most people. This generally works for leisure items but not essential items.Ā
But, if itās a choice between death and debt (or other undesirable ways of raising money) people will obviously go with the latter. And if every company that offers essential items/services raises their prices they all benefit, because people will have no choice but to pay more. And the core tenet of capitalism is that businesses should take the action that makes the most profit.Ā
the rly fun thing about insulin is that like. itās the #1 example of an inelastic good. u basically cant take any kind of econ class without being taught about how insulin, specifically, completely breaks supply/demand as a concept. but once u get taught that, thats it. no analysis, no consideration, no complex thought. its a fuckin vocab word.Ā āyeah so the mere existence of absolute necessities completely invalidates capitalism as a system but dont worry about that, just remember that the correct term for it isĀ āinelasticityāā like how can you teach that shit over and over and never stop to goĀ āoh hm maybe this is badā
So a few months ago I jokingly pitched a visual novel style murder mystery game where all the characters were designed after alcohol. It would be called Booze Clues. Iām now learning how to make a visual novel style murder mystery game.Ā
Con-man to the bitter end.
During his interview with 60 Minutes, Trump had Baghdad Barbie (Kayleigh McEnany) present Lesley Stahl with an oversized, 10 inch, hard bound book on his health care polices. Ā It was so big and heavy, Stahl had difficulty holding it. Ā I guess Trump thought 60 minutes would simply judge the book by its cover and never open it, but ā¦. Ā (checks notes) ⦠they did, revealing it was empty, full of blank pages.
Trumpās bungling continued as he just posted photographs of the stunt to his own twitter account.
Dumbest grifters ā evah.
At least now we know why Trump stormed out of his interview.
Stahl opened the book.
She.
Opened.
The.
Book.
Trump went through the expense of having a thick book bound⦠of blank paper.
Then handed it to a reporter. Not Hannity. Not Tucker. Not Ingraham. Not Bartiromo.
A reporter.
Trumpās been living in fantasyland for so long heās forgotten that people in the real world donāt reflexively believe the shit he says.
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trump-healthcare-lesley-stahl/
If you read the snopes article there are some facts I want to point out. The book is said to be 2500 pages. They call it his āhealth care planā The PDF released by the white house claiming to be the contents of the book, is 512 pages. The PDF is not a proposal for healthcare, it is a copy of 13 executive orders and 11 āother pieces of legislationā enacted under the 45th president. The same paragraph says that is every bit of healthcare he has signed. āOn top were pagesā¦ā Implies that it was separate, and there does seem to be a skinny little book sheās holding under the big one, when they mention his plan for the future. Iād say itās 50-75 pages. So they padded the look of the pages by almost 500% and claimed it was a health care plan, when in fact it is a copy of all the things heās done to try and repeal or damage the ACA. Look, itās not entirely blank. Just horrendously padded. Itās not a health care plan, itās the list of ways heās tried to kill people by removing health care. This entire thing⦠Look if locking him in a room and swearing at him would make things work better Iād yell at him until my body gave out on me. Go vote for someone whos supporters donāt fly the Nazi flag.

honestly if you wouldnāt bond with a symbiote youāre a fucking idiot, like you get unbelievably powerful and sexy and all you have to do is what? not go in fire or listen to noises that sound bad? newsflash idiot i already dont go in fire or listen to noises that sound bad. dumbass. you gotta eat some living flesh once in a while? whatever dude easy shit
you dont even need to do that its canon that the symbiotes just need one chemical from people and its also found in chocolate so you get to be huge and sexy and eat a bunch of chocolate
With the right brain chemistry, you dont even need to do that. Phenethylamine, the chemical in chocolate that symbiotes crave, is naturally produced by your brain when youāre in love. Therefore, if you love and cherish your goth symbiote gf, you can be big and sexy with NO consequences.
LOVE is stored in the SYMBIOTE.
The Venom fandom is just out here living their best goddamn lives.
For structures that have no entry steps, ConvertaStep also makes ramps of three sizes that come in a manual as well as automatic version.

This welcome mat converts into a fully accessible wheelchair ramp. Beautiful and functional design. I want it.
Some more info, for people who are interested.
First of all, I canāt believe this has almost 3,000 notes. Iām so glad that people are sharing this - both as a cool design, and also as an important accessibility feature.
Thanks to pseudosoph for linking to additional info (above) regarding weight limits, lift height, and product background ā the creator is a wheelchair user himself! Very cool stuff. Keep sharing!
