So I don’t post much about Station 19 but I am heated that Ryan had to die in order for Andy to have character growth. Krista writes that she wanted Andy to go through some darkness but she’s already going to lose Pruitt because his cancer came back. That’s enough darkness for Andy as she’s now losing both of her parents. Krista could have shown Andy grieving Pruitt and Ryan being there for her to support her.

The writing this season is horrible and I hate the direction they’re taking the show. First they kill off Ripley and have Vic jump into a new relationship while she’s still mourning. Now they chose to gloss over Ryan’s death in the first 3 minutes. The writers could have chosen to shown a buildup to Andy saying goodbye to Ryan like Vic did with Ripley. They essentially brought Ryan back just to kill him the next episode. It’s lazy writing. Anyways that’s just my thoughts on tonight’s episode and this article.
