So i went into watching the first Doctor without having seen any episodes of his. And when I saw Ian and Barbara I imediatly thought they were a married couple or dating or whatever but no it turned out they were just friends at that point but they had such intimacy I just couldn't believe it its not even shipping anymore that was so canon from the first moment.
