Some photos from our Kings Canyon/Sequoia National Park trip

We had so much fun, hiked a shitload, and saw some bears from a safe distance tho I was super fucking paranoid about running into one on a trail (thankfully, park rangers prevented people from getting too close to a mama bear and her cubs).

The big ass tree is the General Sherman, from the back because there were too many people crowding to get a pic with the sign lol.

there’s a local guy called the Sidewalk Astronomer who sets up outside the clubs downtown with a giant telescope and lets the drunk people walking by look at the stars. he’s my hero and he let me see the moon and Jupiter today

Whenever I feel like hope is lost, I google "tarantula saved from burning building" and read all the stories about firefighters rescuing one of the world's most hated animals because they're someone's pet and it doesn't matter if you're scared of spiders or think they're gross, their lives have worth and they deserve to live just as much as any other pet
