Hello everyone!

For those that don’t know, I’m a linguistics major at Stony Brook University who was planning to study Speech Language Pathology - a program that, as we just got the news, is being cut.

Our university has suffered numerous cuts in non-STEM fields - last year, we stopped offering a theater major. Numerous foreign language professors have been fired between now and last year. Humanities programs are also being cut, and now they’re coming for Linguistics as well.

Please, please sign this petition if you can. Many of us, if this goes through, will no longer be able to study SLP at our school and will have to look for different options. It would mean so much to all of us if you signed.
