Oh and I know my last post was of him and Céline, but since playing Chapter 4 I'm going with Wilhelm's route. It hit me like a truck with an aching as subtle as a punch to the face. My favourite romance trope will always be friends to lovers, bonus points if they're childhood best friends. What can I say I'm a sucker for it. This IF is so good and the music always sets the perfect atmosphere. Writer please drop the music titles I beg of thee

As for his relationships with everyone? Well it took a hot minute to get over Vance and their unforgettable first meeting but they're chill now- he enjoys his company. He and Céline are still rivals and rile each other up, but the so called ‘hatred’ is ever one-sided. He does hope the petty grievances between them will subside someday. Maxine is cool and similar to Vance- a good friend. He holds her in high regards and enjoys delving into her philosophical mindset. Dumitru intrigues. He can see through the small gaps in his guise clearer than most, because despite all their on the surface differences, he senses they're cut from the same cloth. ‘Who the hell is Wilhelm? Have I been through this song and dance before?’

I found an interactive novel thing on itch.io called ‘The Ballad of the Young Gods’ by @childrenofcain-if and thought I should give it a try cause the premise seemed interesting. And yeah it was pretty damn cool lol. Actually I found it a few months ago but I revisited a few days ago and found there had been an update. So I played it (it was awesome) and figured I might as well make fanart for it.
This is a scene redraw with my MC and one of the romantic interests, C. A. Lacroix at the end of Chapter 3. In my case, her name is Céline Armelle Lacroix. And my MC is Jesse Etoile Anemoi (yeah he’s got the same name as my OLBA MC. I’m uncreative lol I just put myself in these things. Though the last name Anemoi is cause of my hyperfixation on the Four Winds. I felt like it fit with the whole ‘god’ thing this has going on.)
Truth be told I kinda wanna go with W. J. Ostendorf (Wilhelm)’s route now cause of chapter 4 (oh the woes of bisexuality. And my bias towards friends to lovers.) but before that I was going with Céline’s route cause I really liked how she bickered with the MC and surprisingly liked the rival to lover dynamic that could come from it.

A while back I showcased my fan made sprite I drew of my Step 4 OLBA MC. This is kind of a continuation of that, as I've finished all 4 steps! (His main outfits anyway. I haven't done his other ones, like his pajamas, formal wear, swimwear, etc. Also I edited his Step 4 sprite just a bit.)

Again, like with my first post, I decided to base my MC's physical appearance on what I put in the game. I also wanted to make sure my MC actually fit into the game itself, not just via the artstyle replicating but his appearance and outfit.
Also here's some extra doodles because why not. :)
Gonna rant about my MC real quick. Like I've said before, my MC's name is Jesse Etoile (He’s just a self insert. My name is Jesse.) and he's pinoy like Elizabeth. In what I call my 'canon' playthrough, he ends up with Cove and the two officially date after the ORCA dinner. Jesse and Cove being the idiots they are proposed on the same day, with Jesse in the morning and Cove during night. While Cove is obsessed with the ocean and swimming, Jesse loves the sky and being in the air. And like I said before, my MC is a musician and ballet dancer. Jesse has the relaxed personality with everyone. Also he and Cove are the same height meaning they're both giants.
There's more I wanna say about him but I'll save it for another time. Even though I just got into these games this year they've already become some of my favourites. Right now I'm currently doing the long game with Cove where my MC and him get together after Step 2. (you know, with that CG.) I still like the two of them getting together at Step 3 instead, just when they're older because that's my preference but it's still cute. I'm genuinely impressed with just how vast this game is. I LOVE IT. ❤

Dipping my toes into the au side of this fandom, have a human Gemini Design. This was somewhat inspired by @dollettodraws design which I saw a while back, but given my own spin and headcanons. And yes, before you ask, this is mostly an excuse to draw cute Pemini art (I'll post some soon). I also tried out something different with the Black and White picture, since I thought it would be fun to draw something that looked a little like an in game Recollection, like P picked it up somewhere :>

P x Gemini Headcanons
• There's so much excitement and joy in this relationship because P and Gemini feel like they've known each other forever. They're best friends, and now lovers, too. It's like a dream.
• Neither of them know when the romance actually started. It was like a flip switched suddenly and there was just mutual understanding from that day forward. The first “I love you” came from Gemini. Soft hearted puppet.
• P loves the sound of Gemini. All of his sound, including the chirps and his voice's tin-can quality. He adores how lively and unapologetically boisterous the cricket puppet is. Even when he annoys P (which he does), P still loves him.
• Gemini is always so happy and supportive when P experiences something new. This is refreshing for P, when everyone around him is either indifferent, or put off, by his ever-changing body and soul. When his hair grows- “You look great, pal! You could be a model!” When his gears and springs stop making noise- “Have you been going overboard with the oiling lately, or are you a bona fide human now?”
• Being with Gemini is comforting for P, in or out of combat. In the field, Gemini will warn him of incoming attacks, treacherous environments, and other hazards. Gemini is always looking out for his beloved friend. To thank him, P plants kisses to the exterior door of the lamp when they're back in the safety of the Hotel.
• When Gemini is flustered or emotional, the light emanating from within him can change in color (similar to how it does when exposed to certain types of ergo.) He is pretty much biologically mandated to wear his heart on his sleeve, so BRIGHT RED FLASHING GEMINI is commonplace when P is kissing, complimenting or cuddling him, especially at the start of the relationship.
• Gemini comes up with pet names for his P. He's so infatuated with his newly-human boyfriend that many of his nicknames revolve around how beautiful P is. Handsome, Hot Stuff, Good-Looking, Prince…
• P isn’t great at coming up with cute nicknames, so he tends to call his lamp “Gem” or “love.” Sometimes P will hold Gemini close to his chest, feeling the deep warmth the metal is emitting through his clothing, and delight in how wonderful it is to be dating his very best pal. “My friend…” he’ll whisper. “My love.”
• P kisses him goodnight, every night. At full humanity, when he needs sleep, P will tuck the lamp underneath his chin and hold it close to him as he rests. Sometimes Gemini feels defeated, when he can't kiss P himself or even express basic affection to him.
• It’s hard for them to find things to do as a couple other than talk, or travel/fight together. Gemini cannot even move on his own, and P wants to change that. He doesn’t want to have to carry his lover around on his fingers forever. And Gemini wants to experience things, especially as he’s finally creating a future for himself after losing all memory of who he might’ve been in the past. He wants to hold P’s hands, and kiss him back, and hold him close in his own two arms.
• All these two want is to share their love in a conventional way. Kissing a lamp is fine for a while, but they want to feel each other. After the restoration of Krat, Gemini opens up about his insecurities, his memory loss, and yearning for a real body. With the help of Venigni, P and Gemini decide that the lamp puppet needs a humanoid shell to control and live in permanently. This man invented jet engines, surely he can design a puppet that can be remotely controlled even if Gemini’s ergo cannot be safely transferred. P offers to pay in literal crates of ergo, if need be. Venigni would probably refuse payment.
• I imagine that things would work out for them, but even if things didn’t, P would keep his loving little lamp puppet looped onto his belt for eternity if that’s what needed to be done. He would never leave Gemini, not for anything.
‘You’re stuck with me, and I’m stuck with you, pal. Wouldn’t have it any other way.’

I’ve been shipping em since I made this design for Gemini but I also like them platonically because it’s just perfect. Pinocchio’s been through so much the poor guy, but he’s always had a friend with him. Sophia might’ve been the first voice he heard, but Gem was the first friend he had. And they’ve stuck with each other since. I just love em ahhhhdhjdjd
I like to think Gemini is equivalent to Pino as Romeo is to Carlo. It’s cute :)

I got into LoP early last year and I just bought it last month when it was on sale when Overture came out. I haven’t been able to play it as much as I’d like since I’ve always got other things to tend to and am constantly busy, but last I left off I just beat Fuoco.
Anyways yeah my first piece of LoP fanart I’m sharing on tumblr is a sketch of Pino with Gemini except he’s in a new puppet body. More humanoid. Because he deserves it. I’m not the first to think of Gemini getting a new body post-game, but this is my take on it with my own design.
Lowkey I fw the Pemini ship. That’s why I did this lol. Cause they deserve to hold hands. And kiss. Give each other proper hugs. Go on double dates with Carlo and Romeo. Be absolute menaces to society. Spit on Geppetto’s grave. Be the best ‘pals’ in history ❤️

I recently did Derek’s romance route because if Cove wasn’t end game, you bet your bottom dollar I would’ve ended up with Derek. He is such a sweetheart and a wonderful man, he deserves every good thing in life.
Ultimately, Cove is still my favourite in terms of romance in the game (what can I say, I’m more of a slow burn man myself and that dude is about as slow as me), but I can see Derek ending up with MC too because they’ve also been friends for a long time, and for me personally that’s how I prefer romance.
Spoilers for the DLC kinda ahead: you know how at the end of Derek’s Step 4 you can offer up the idea of Derek moving in with you (and Cove if you two live together, whether as partners or friends)? Yeah in some sort of AU this happens. And this is the result.
I’ll probably make a doodle with Cove Derek my MC (Jesse) and Baxter at some point too. I haven’t done Baxter’s romance route (I’m doing that next) yet. Personally I like my MC just being platonic with him but hey I still wanna see how it goes, plus it’d be cool and fun.

Lol but fr though, my MC looking like a pirate was indeed on purpose! I thought it would be cool, plus it ties my personal interests and aesthetics into OLBA’s beach/ocean theme pretty well! Also I did say previously that I kinda saw Cove as the merman, and my MC as the pirate. So this was kinda just the perfect excuse to make this doodle. I guess this is now my offical introduction for this AU. We love our ocean gays
