Little bit late, but here's a diversion ask! How 'true to life' do you try to be when writing RPF? And what's your favourite thing you've written? Hope you're doing better!

To be honest, my stuff is probably far from true to life. When it comes to the people themselves, I'm sure it's extremely OOC and I am entirely unashamed of that. I'll write them how I want them to be lmao.
I like to write people in specific ways, like Kirk for example, I keep him a bit shy and awkward, but he's also a snarky little shit, and can bite back when he has to. I'm sure Kirk irl has some of those traits, but I doubt he's anything like the way I write him.
In my fics, James has a macho masculine facade he keeps up, but he's a softie deep down, and he cares very deeply for other people, and we might argue that we think James is like that irl... But we don't know that, and even if he is, the way I write him is a very surface level understanding of who he is as a person. So... Not true to life at all, probably 😂
Also, this likely isn't what you mean, but when it comes to actual smut and the sex that's happening, that is something I will try and keep as realistic as possible. I think it's important to do that, to write things that represent how sex really is in real life, because I know there's people out there who maybe haven't had it yet. That's probably silly, but I am just strongly opposed to perpetuating the ideals of sex (especially gay sex) as it's represented in pornography. And I think this is part of how people learn as well, which is important.
ANYWAY for the second question.
My favourite thing I've written has always been I'm Burning Alive, Just Like You. It's the first fic I posted, and I think it's my most personal work as well. It deals with an ED and navigating that while you've got people around you, and the struggle of it being this 'known secret' but no one wants to talk about it directly. Everyone wants to help, but no one really knows what to do.
My favourite Met fic however... I'm not sure I've written it yet hehe. I like I Wanna Hear it Loud, Right Between the Eyes for sure. But also Smooth Side Down, Sticky Side Up which is like... An underrated fic of mine, in my opinion. If I'm even allowed to say that about my own stuff lol.
