"We're doing a Shrek"
This made me laugh in a way I can't explain
I'll say my biggest problem of the movie has to be the epilogue or lack thereof. Just saying, idea under the cut:
We could've had a "Save the World" feast with Peach, DK, Toad, the bros, and their family. Peach could've baked a cake, and there could be no dialogue but we could see them spell their adventure, and everyone's laughing and being merry it could've been the best ending.
I'm glad that Mark Marek's out here getting to make projects and you can recognize his style well if you've seen the Henry & June segments of Kablam!
I got amazing mixed feelings. It's an amazing befuddlement of entertainment that I'm glad to have watched but the moments range from "Eh, that was meh" to "OOO, That was COOL!!!!" Overall, it was the Super Mario Bros Super Show film adaptation I wanted. Also, Charles Martinet is given the best cameo I could've asked for and I mean it. No spoilers but you'll know.
Best thing about Fist of the North Star is that they can make a villain have a sympathetic moment but still bound for death. Honor is key in this series and while you're glad their terror dies with them, they accept their fates well. Buronson can make an utter bastard in the beginning of an arc and by the end, you gain immediate respect as their empire literally falls with them. This isn't for every antagonist of course, but him and Hara knew when to make the major villains count.
Yeah, I want a mini-series or film about Peter Parker taking care of his daughter. Spider-Dad and Spidey-Baby, hell yeah.
We are So Back
this film looks pretty mid ngl, but I'd watch it for her
Dreamworks really gonna flex on Disney this summer by making Ariel fight Squidward's daughter. Hell yeah.

Oh "Snakeshifter", like her shapeshifter sister. I get it.
Think the worse thing about the Velma series is that I can't tell if it being bad was purposeful or not. Not a single character is likable or even makes me want to see a sliver of good in them. Velma is who people who hate Daria think Daria is like; vindictive with none of the cleverness. Velma's dad is a terrible lawyer joke. You cast Dennis Reynolds as Fred and we get the laziest manchild joke in history. Shaggy is my favorite in the Scooby gang and you make him Mordecai from Regular Show only worse when he simps for Velma, someone that basically laughed at him sharing his emotions with her. Daphne's the most tolerable character because she barely says anything as insufferable.
The humor is lifeless, just them either bringing up story or character tropes or being thoughtlessly spiteful of each other. There's nothing thoughtful about the characters being spiteful or uncaring, they're just assholes I wouldn't even want to be around in real life. Not even Daphne and Velma kissing felt right because it came with the most shallow buildup and kissing someone having a panic attack is disgusting.
Oh yeah, it has the most tasteless portrayal of dealing with panic attacks. It's like they wanted it to be a serious thing and a joke when it is basically the same as when Sia tried to literally tackle autism in a movie she made.
All this within two episodes, nearly 50 minutes. I wouldn't even call this bad fanfiction because it doesn't feel like the writers wanted to work on this. I'm glad Scooby himself wasn't in this; they probably would've kicked the literal puppy if they got to. Again, I can't tell if they wanted you to hate this or not. It's not like Bojack Horseman where the future episode will make up for very by the numbers sitcom approach from the initial episodes. This is not worth it.
Seems we’re heading down under for JOJOLANDS

Finding Nemo really had a kid fish with a disability and you see him grow up and you're like "fuck yeah, Nemo is gonna go places." I wish the sequel was an adventure with Nemo and his friends, like The Goonies meets Freddi Fish.
this is what i expect from the mario movie
