Also loved the Tobirama and Izuna friendship! And I imagine after his talk with Itama Tobi goes to apologise in his own way. But he starts with 'I don't care who you marry.' And Izuna knows what he means by it, that he's trying to apologise, but he's still a bit pissed so he starts insinuating that Tobirama is interested in him. Which funny because they both know Tobirama is hella aroace lol. It somehow becomes a thing whenever Izuna is pissed at him, and Tobirama really wishes he'd stop because it's embarrassing and ppl will get the wrong idea.

however!

the "katon blade" in this AU is a pretty notorious entry in Izuna's jutsu repertoire

and Izuna's answer referring to Tobirama's suiton in general means that

both of them gave pretty noncommittal answers

the comedy of farmer!Izuna gifting Tobirama craptons of mayonnaise (because chickens and sdv game mechanic) but it's "tiny" mayonnaise because these are Japanese Bantams and bantams are TINY chickens - so Izuna has all these novelty miniature mayonnaise as his Farmland Gimmick and he's maybe trying to woo the local village administrator (definitely didn't start out that way) meanwhile the local village administrator Does Not Like Mayonnaise but the new farmer in town brings in crazy good revenue and it would be Poor Manners to Refuse and also maybe the new farmer is kinda cute oh no...

Just those two as kids again. I really like to draw them in this simplier style sometimes, especially as children. It suits their silly vibes.

Something I really liked about seeing Hashirama's and Madara's childhood, or, perhaps more accurately, a glimpse of it, was how it humanised them. Like, we see Madara throwing meteorites at people and being badass as hell, glazing Hashirama all the while, of course, and only after all of that do we get Hashirama’s flashback.

And it's almost comical to see this shift, a young Madara struggling to skip stones, a kid who acts so human and so much like a child. Although we are quickly reminded of their reality and the war torn era they live in, forcing them to dehumanise themselves, this glimpse does show the person behind the name Madara and the power it holds.
