This time it was just dad, Jessie, and me. Caitlin couldn’t come because she stayed home taking care of baby Dalila (she’s still way too little for this kind of trip), and Shannon… well, she’s Shannon. And honestly, it’s not like I wanted her to come anyway lol 😌✌️

The funniest part? Dad said he’d drive… and then fell asleep in the passenger seat 15 minutes in. So yeah, I ended up driving the whole way 😒 (while he snored peacefully). Jessie was in the back making up songs while I tried not to get us lost and, you know, keep us alive.

In the end, it turned out to be a pretty good trip 💛

The picture was taken on the day they arrived at camp — both of them a little grumpy since neither really wanted to go.

That summer became a turning point: the moment they started seeing each other a little differently.

My 16-year-old self (and honestly, still me now) is always obsessively calculating the timeline of when my OC existed in the Big Mouth universe — figuring out when they met each character, their ages, heights, and which seasons everything fits into.

Currently working on a new illustration, so I might post it in a few hours 👀✨
