i’ve seen and written so many fics with Autistic Kara and as an Autistic person, that makes me so happy!!

and lately i’ve been considering Autistic Lena, who had to learn to mask early on, who hyperfixates on L-Corp and has a special interest in business

a Lena who has trouble connecting to people and feels ostracized and different from everyone she knows

Lena, who feels other peoples’ emotions so strongly she doesn’t know what to do with them or where to begin to help on a personal level, so helps in the way she’s most comfortable - with science.

Lena who is unsure of how to convey her own feelings - doesn’t know how to express them in a way deemed appropriate by most

A Lena who has no idea what is expected of her in most social settings so stays rigidly stuck to the expectations she knows; L-Corp, business bitch, inventing

Lena who has spent her life feeling like she’s from another planet becoming so close with someone who actually is - and Kara, more than most, would understand overstimulation and not fitting in with human behavior, would understand Lena even when nobody else bothered to try

“Sleep well?”  She asked, putting butter in the pan and turning on the burner to melt it.

Charlie whined softly as Faith moved away. Hand moving in her sleep to grab at the other woman’s wrist.

Faith paused and smiled softly before gently disentangling from her grasp.  Leaning down she pressed a kiss to her forehead and then moved to start making breakfast for them.

She huffed softly, smiling in her sleep. She squirmed under the covers, trying to find Faith’s body. She cracked open her eyes, rubbing her face as she sat up.

“Faith…..?”

“Just makin’ breakfast babe.”  Faith called back from down the hall, hearing Charlie thanks to her heightened senses.  She’d pulled out everything she needed to make some fried egg sandwiches with ham and cheese.

Charlie ran her fingers through her hair as she plodded down to the kitchen. She shuffled up behind Faith, arms going around her waist and her forehead against her back.

Faith bit her lip, glancing away as thoughts flashed through her mind of what she could ask for.  There were a few things that stuck out, ideas that involved allowing Charlie to be the more dominant partner in a way she hadn’t quite allowed to happen yet.  Especially not after Charlie was hurt so badly and needed a gentler hand to recover.

“I dunno…”  She mumbled, feeling the clash of nerves and desire as she mulled these things over.

She walked her fingers up Faith’s thighs, moving up to her waist.

“I want tonight to be about you…. because….I…”

She trailed off, face flushed. Emotions leaving her tongue tied.

Goosebumps raced across her skin after Charlie’s fingers while she met her gaze again.

“I wouldn’t mind if you kinda…took charge?  It’d be nice to just let go.”  She finally admitted, letting her hands rest against Charlie’s arms and waiting for her reaction.
