Up until the end of world war one, she managed to keep her Romanian accent.

Giuseppe and Maria Provenzo were Romanian by heritage.   Giuseppe had been adopted by an Italian family when he was an infant and Maria had grown up in Transylvania, raised by Spanish immigrants.    They had raised Rosabelle there until she had chosen to runaway.
