Fanfiction recommendations
Hi,
since I was desperately searching for a specific fanfiction the other day, I decided to list down my favorite fanfictions.
Since I also have to search again for the fanfictions I've read before and found incredibly awesome, they will collect here bit by bit. So it's worth the wait... I think.
(My mother language isn't english, so if you find any errors, please let me know :) )
Please note that I am a female and this are fanfictions I've already read. Therefore these HAVE ALL A FEMALE OC. I will be adding a category with fanfiction I personally haven't read but sounded very promising. No matter the gender of the OC or preferences etc...
On this list are only longer fanfictions!

Mostly this fanfictions are from sides like AO3 or Fanfiction.com.
Don't forget to always look at the warnings! Some of these have explicit content / trigger warnings / or other important stuff!

I really loved this. It's a medium-length story about magic and fairytales and after I read this quickly at work I was in a good mood :)
Making Strides from Delo_No17 on AO3 (OC | Reader)
A lovely story about an engineer at Stark Industries who builds a new arm for Bucky.
About 62.000 words.
This was so good. The OC is funny, sarcastic and I absolutely loved the dynamic between Bucky and the OC. Lots of fluff ans sarcasm.

OC who is a friend of Sam Wilson and welcomes a certain broken soldier with PTSD in her home. A amazing slow burn story about recovery.
About 158.000 words.
Good ol' recovery fanfictions are my favourite, so if you wanna see Bucky getting more and more attached to a lovely girl, this is for you.

That's something entirely different to what I read most of the time. I already mentioned a bis plot twist and I don't want to spoil to much, so ... reading is so fcking worth it.

An interesting story about to therapist-patients who share a waiting room. Short description but worth a look. Really.

A lovely fanfiction about to idiots. Nothing more to say. The summary on AO3 is short but strong and this was exactly what catched me, so please have a look .

This was an amazing fanfiction during WW2. Personally I loved the character of the OC - strong, sarcastic, loyal. Also I should mention that the story has a 2nd part, wich I sadly haven't had time to finish yet. In the hashtags are #sad ending but remember there is a second part.

A very funny fanfiction with villian!reader, who is not quite as evil as they think. A story full of humor and sarcasm with a lot of 'Bucky-is-so-done-with-this-shit'

I laughed so incredibly often. The character and relationship development is so sweet and I personally find the reader's character so sympathetic.

The storyline is very exciting and the character and relationship development is also very good. An enemies to lover story, which has captivated me. With AUs I always love to discover which role, which Marvel characters play ;)

An adorable Bucky healing fanfiction with a sugary sweet relationship between the two and super well written character development of Bucky. Not too unrealistically fast, but not too slow that you feel like you're not progressing.

I loved this story so much! Ups and downs, sad!Bucky, happy!Bucky, Bucky needs a hug , this story has everything that anyone who reads Bucky-healing-fanfics wants! And omg the evolution of Bucky from a broken individual to a happy man is sooo indescribable!

This was so cute and lovely... I think you can guess what's up with the cat. Let's say... this is exactly how I imagine Loki as a cat ;)
Mischief, Meet Your Match *NEW* by The_Sad_Hatter on AO3 (OC | Reader)
The reader just happens to land on a little adventure with Loki. While the Avengers desperately try to get reader back, reader and Loki have to team up to destroy a common enemy and get closer and closer in the process…. ;) Reader btw, is never referred to as (y/n), but is always paraphrased. That always impresses me.
About 125.000 words.
The character and relationship development is written so incredibly well and realistically. And the story with the new enemy is well thought out and written very exciting. A great fanfiction that I still think about often.

In this a sarcastic and funny human OC hits Derek Hale with a car. Start in season 1 but already with Isaac in it. OC plays a big part in everyone's life.

I liked this OC a lot, because in many ways I could understand her and was her opinion. An she is so well an funny written. The typical teen wolf sarcasm is very prominent here. That's important.

A surprisingly deep story about Shane who gets better with the help of the OC/farmer.

It was just so well written and emotional and so deep. Trigger warnings for some sensitiv subjects but the author wrote so realisticly yet but the author has brought these issues into this story so realistically and respectfully... i loved it. I still love it.
On the Way to a Smile from Smileplease91 on AO3 (OC | Reader)
Another Shane fanfiction about his road to recovery including an OC/farmer. Shanes background and why he has depressions is written like I've never seen before. Please look at the Trigger Warnings for this.

This was very emotional and had very deep topics, but I loved this story and how it was written.

A lovely slow burn story about Shane and OC/farmer healing in each others company.

Another story where an OC/farmer helps Shane heal? Maybe, but amazing nontheless. Definitly worth reading.
Sunshine Through Dark Clouds from Diggy on AO3 (OC | Reader)
A very good and funny written story that doesn't start at the beginning of the game. It doesn't only focus on Shane and OC, no, Sam is playing a big role, too.
About 55.000 words.
This story was the first 'big' story I read of Stardew Valley and this part of the summary was, what catched me: 'Before there was Shane, there was Sam.' Lovely story about love an friendship.

Here the farmer/OC has an interesting past and reason to live on the farm. Because this is secret to dear old Sebastian, I also won't spoiler much ;).

Very cute story about our favourite emo boy, with a focus on OC/farmer but a lot of realistic Sebastian in it. Loved it.

In here the farmer/OC is hopelessly in love with Sam (trust me, it's about Alex tho), but he's into Penny. So out of desperation she starts something with Alex. Classical friends with benefits to something more but with looots of dramaaaa!

I loved to read it and ngl Alex is so smooth in this fanfic. It let me see Alex in another light...

Until then, Sherlock and John come to know the OC in a case, where she is not only an unwillingly part of, but Sherlock also learns that there is more behind her fassade of a strict business woman...

This. Was. Brilliant. The case was not only wirtten on a true Sherlock-level but also the relationship between Sherlock an John (purely platonic) was described to well (looot's of bickering). Personally, I think it is great that the Sherlock/OC thing ist not until the second part , because let's be honest... It's Sherlock Holmes. The sociopath. No feelings and all this. But in this 100.000 word story- they get to know each other, they get to unterstand each other. And they have more in common that they think will ever be possible... I really have to read the next part of the series!

This was a beautiful story, with very serious topics, but also a lot of really cute scenes and it was just a pleasure to read!

A very sweet fanfiction about family, love and what it means to be associated with the Sons of anarchy. Very nice to read and the background, thoughts and fears of the OC were very well presented and understandable. Directly read through in one go!

The main character of this story is our OC Willow Winston, the daughter of Opie and Layla Winston. Therefor the fanfiction takes place a few years after the events in Sons of Anarchy. Everything is great - well, as great as it can be in Charming - but when suddenly new dangers threaten and a long-lost acquaintance wants to know more about his family. Abel Teller.

This wonderful fanfiction was ... indescribable to read. I'm not usually so keen on 'next generation fanfiction', but I definitely have to make an exception here. Not to mention the fact that a Winston-Teller combination in the future is bittersweet and makes me smile with tears in my eyes, so this story is also great writing and the storyline remains exciting and varied. Highly recommended.

Juice didn't start his life as a prospect well at all. Not only does he have to scrub toilets and do the dirty work, he also mistakes Chibs' daughter for a croweater. Ups and downs in their relationship make for an exciting story line and a great amount of 'Awkward Juice' actually give this fan fiction everything Juice fans want to read.

This fanfiction is still very close to my heart. I loved the awkward Juice in this story and even though both Juice and OC do some stupid things here, I just wanted to keep reading and reading and reading...

This was a fun fanfiction of a game I really liked the characters. This story was at some points deep, emotional, but also funny and very well written.

I like ATLA fanfictions because even though the main plot can be viewed as dark, the characters never fail to make me laugh and in this fanfiction the banters between the prince and the OC are just perfect for that..

Even though I'm not the biggest Twilight fan, I really like the imprint stories with Jacob. IThe whole Bella-and-then-Renesmee thing doesn't sit right with me. So it makes me very happy when he turns his back on it all to give attention to someone other than a member of the Cullens. Sweetly written and a lovable main character.

The main character is Meadow Black, Jacob's older sister. You might think that this is a typical imprinting story, but some twists and turns, a wonderful writing style and a (at least for me) very likeable main character made sure that I read this fanfiction in record time.

Personally, I still have very detailed memories of this fanfiction, even though it's been some time since I read it. I love that I-don't-give-a-fuck-about-Paul-Lahote attitude that the OC has at the beginning, and that as the story progresses, you see more and more of Paul creeping into her heart. And not unrealistically fast and also with much resistance, which was also very funny to read.

Here a new species is introduced in the world of Twilight: Witches. And it's realistic, logical and not too overpowered. Even though witches are fundamentally the stronger species here. Our OC, though a native witch, is not quite what we imagine at first glance. For centuries, vampires and witches have negotiated a peace treaty. But certain circumstances make the OC travel to Volterra, where she inevitably meets Alec, her mate, which of course brings some problems...

A very lovable fanfiction with lots of great twists in the story and well thought out puzzles and exciting scenes by the author, where you really want to know who is behind it. I was fascinated by the details written with love, which of course were also necessary when you have such a gigantic ... I say 'OC community' reinvented. And the author did it so incredibly well! Everything makes sense and was (for this world of course) realistically included without interrupting the rest of the strand of Twilight. It was very enjoyable to read...
