10 and 11 of the ask game, sending good vibes and good luck your way Daisy :)
thank you, vee !! always appreciate it ❤️✨
✧ 10 : what genre is generally the easiest or most enjoyable for you to write? which is the hardest?
answered this here, but will list some of my favorite fics i've written from the genres i spoke about xx
fluff - happy birthday, sweetheart ✧ enter sandman✧ reader's distress
angst - ghostin' ✧ sweet dreams ✧ are you, really?
✧ 11 : if you were to rewrite goodnight kisses with sam how do you think it might change?
okay, i didn't know at first but i thought about it for a bit and now i'm all mushy about it 🥺🥺 i think it'd change in a few ways!
— where reader is a bit agitated with dean for denying their little routine, i think reader's feelings would be hurt more than anything if sam was hesitant about it. 'cause i think sam would deny them very little in general and he isn't usually too worried (if at all) about looking soft or being perceived as soft/gentle in front of other people.
— with that being said, the scenario would have to change a bit because i don't think sam would even hesitate to give you what you're asking for in this context. i.e in the bunker around loved ones. he's comfortable enough in himself and with you and everyone else that he'd grab you and give you goodnight kisses in a heartbeat, especially because he isn't too happy about you going on a solo hunt for a few days and will miss you more than he will admit. he'd still end up maybe a little bashful if mary comments on it, and especially if dean does but he isn't deterred in the slightest.
i really want to write a version (or a few) for sam now because i can think of a scenario where he'd hold off for a moment! but he'd still never let you go without them like dean nearly did even though dean kind of broke his own heart before he even let you get to the door lolol
✧ 3 : what's something you like about your writing?
i like that it's usually if not always based in emotion and some type of strong feeling. i'm a very emotional person, so i think there's always some line of emotion throughout my works that aids in telling the story or to convey the feeling i had in mind to the reader as well!
i also like that it's very "visual" for me personally, everything i write starts in my head as a very vivid story or image/scene and sometimes it's really hard trying to translate it into writing but when i eventually get there it's really rewarding in a way, even if it's not exactly what i was seeing in my head. as long as i get it very close i'm happy.
✧ 10 : what genre is generally the easiest or most enjoyable for you to write? which is the hardest?
i think fluff is the easiest to write, only because it's light and it's kind of easy to think of words and form sentences to describe good feelings and sweetness and pure love.
the most enjoyable would be angst, because i love the drama of it but i think it's also the hardest to write, especially if it's paired with like sad themes. i think it's harder to write because i empathize with the characters more when i put them through really intense things or if i'm writing about heavy topics. it's harder for me to get it out because i'm very careful about describing those feelings and it sometimes can bring up feelings about my own experiences.
14 ⧽. is there anything outside of your normal content that you want to write?
me @ you because we talked about this one thing a little so you know.
it's literally one fic rn and then i'll probably never do it again 💀 but there might be the tinsiest bit ˡᶦᵏᵉ ᵗʰᵉ ˢᵐᵃˡˡᵉˢᵗ ᵇᶦᵗ ᵈᵒⁿ'ᵗ ᵍᵉᵗ ᵉˣᶜᶦᵗᵉᵈ of spice in a fic of mine somewhere on this app soon.

i'm also really excited to get more parts for my sam series out!! i've had that one plotted out forever but haven't had the time to write for it in a minute but i love that story & i think he and reader have the best chemistry 😭 their interactions always make me smile.
✧ 14 : is there anything outside of your normal content that you want to write?

part one ✧ part two
the situation at hand was overwhelming to say the least. overwhelming being a gross understatement, considering that the current situation was teetering on the line between life and death.
you had been doing your best to stay in control of the wheel, bracing the impact of cars ramming into the truck from both sides while simultaneously biting back the pain brought on by grazing bullets that had graciously deemed you worthy of their touch.
even with the pain that you could undeniably feel, you were sure that none of this was real. it was a memory, a recreation of events to be exact, and you had no reason to question this reality like you’d questioned everything about the incident from the day before. fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice—different view.
you were seeing things with new eyes and understood that you had been here before, behind the wheel of the truck you’d inherited, headed back to the motel where you and your brothers were staying for the night when it happened. the very moment the nest that your family had torn apart in pursuit of the colt had chosen to take revenge.
it was dark out, the streets slick with rain that had fallen less than an hour before. you’d remembered that part with sickening detail, remembered the way the rain had sprinkled down onto your face after the crash.
the familiarity of it all had placed a few of the puzzle pieces of the last twenty-four hours together and you could see now that the first occurrence back at the gas station had also been a distant memory as opposed to the dream you’d convinced yourself it was.
although they were rare, there were times before the fire—before sammy was ever even thought of—where your parents would whisk you and dean off to the beach for a couple of days. times when you were allowed to be the kids that you were. you could barely remember these moments in full now, but you could see it pretty clearly in hindsight. times where you’d fall behind in search of sea shells and crabs that were gentle enough to befriend. the familiarity of the way your mother would call out to you once she realized that you were no longer trailing beside her. it was all there, you just hadn’t been prepared to relive it. not after her tragic departure, and especially not in the middle of a grimy gas station.
you didn’t understand how it was possible, or why it was happening to you.
it was a nightmare in and of itself—the idea that you were being subject to old memories. that was painful enough even without the most dangerous aspect of it all. which was the fact that it wasn’t just an emotionally damaging experience, but a scenario that had proven to be somewhat physically dangerous as well. that was the part that worried you the most. you thought about the eighteen wheeler that sped past you after sam had knocked you out of its path—the haunting parallel to the peaceful walk you’d been taking with your mother on the beach.
your grip tightened around the wheel as you considered the fact that you were driving your brother’s chevy impala seconds before you were thrust into this absolute hellscape. you were left to wonder what was happening in real time, how sam and dean were fairing in comparison to your current situation. the fact that you were hyper aware of the moment you were trapped in only worked to fill you with an endless amount of dread that you barely had enough time to dwell on before you were hit with a pain so sharp you nearly swerved off the road again.
it was another bullet—laced with intentions of revenge—that had pierced your side. a wound that had been just as painful and concerning the first time around. you clenched your jaw against the sting, ignoring the blood that began to pour from the wound while cursing the entire situation and the vampire you knew had orchestrated this whole thing.
you swerved on instinct and ducked out of the way as another bullet entered through the back window, the dread that had flooded your veins moments before only heightening as the road continued to get shorter and shorter. the moment you remembered where things had truly hit the fan was nearing and you pressed down on the gas with a strong feeling that whatever was happening in real time couldn’t be anything good.
as soon as the thought had settled in your mind, you were rammed off of the road and into a ditch, the impact immediately launching you into a pit of darkness.
you didn’t come to all at once. slowly, you clawed your way towards the surface of consciousness where voices mixed with the frequent sound of cars passing by on the highway. a wave of pain that only seemed to get worse with every second that passed hit you harder than you appreciated and you grimaced under the pressure of it.
the pain, although unwelcomed, didn’t seem to stem from any wounds brought on by the bullets you had been trying your best to avoid or the ones that had hit their target. the ache had actually been coming from the back of your head and you let out a soft groan as you reached up to investigate the damage further.
a quick shuffling sound to your right had put you back on the defense, causing you to spring into action, immediately searching for your gun as a hand landed a little too close to your shoulder.
“hey.” dean’s gruff voice cut through the moment just as quickly as your instincts had.
he disarmed you a second later and you peered up at him only to find his eyes already on you—his steady gaze intense. “take it easy.” he urged, his hand still sat warily on your shoulder as he tried to gage the current state you were in. you were disoriented and confused, just as you had been when you were forced out of the first memory, but seeing dean had alleviated the worry you’d felt during the chase and was a stark contrast to the unwelcoming greeting you could remember waking up to after regaining consciousness the night you’d wrecked your dad’s truck: outnumbered and surrounded by vamps who wanted you and everyone you loved dead.
you were on the ground now, propped up against the back wheel of the impala and grateful to be back in the right time frame. the soft grass underneath you had a grounding effect and you found yourself running your hands through it as you caught your bearings, the realization that you were still in one piece slowly beginning to dawn on you. you were safe and alive, and so were your brothers.
your eyes shot to dean’s again as you grabbed a hold of the fabric of his jacket and pulled him into a desperate embrace, grateful for the fact that he seemed to be unscathed.
“sam.” you choked out, “where’s sam?”
sam came into view a few seconds later, rounding the impala with an urgency that matched the rate in which the words had tumbled out of your mouth. he’d let you pull him into a hug, not that he had a choice in the matter, and the wet look in his eyes mirrored yours as you let him go.
his brows pinched together as he watched a grimace form on your face as the pain that had overwhelmed your senses when you first came to began to intensify. you found yourself reaching for the back of your head again where a small gash that dean had confessed to being responsible for resided. it’d been the painful result of him using the base of his gun to hit you over the head in an attempt to get you to let go of the wheel. the decision hadn’t been made without remorse and had been the last resort in making sure that the three of you had a shot at making it out of your little predicament alive.
just as you’d feared, sam and dean had been left to deal with the danger that seemed to never be too far behind once you were forcibly pulled into what you were now sure were nothing more than distant memories.
the commotion you’d caused after trying to avoid the figure that had been standing in the middle of the road was enough to wake dean from his slumber in the backseat. he’d righted himself and had tried to make sense of the situation through his sleepy haze, grimacing at the intensity in sam’s voice as he urged you to slow down. sam’s concern had flared the moment he watched you go still after steadying the impala, your eyes suddenly distant as you sped down the highway. your foot had continued to press down on the gas pedal and sam had watched the speedometer climb higher and higher at an alarmingly fast pace.
the way that you had been speeding down the highway had caused a certain amount of caution to stir in dean’s chest—which was alarming enough seeing as though he was a self-proclaimed speed demon. he seemed to snap into high alert as he zeroed in on the dashboard. you were moments away from pushing baby to her limits, and dean barked out the same warning sam had in an attempt to get you to knock it off.
you didn’t listen, and the real panic sprouted after you had started to dodge things that clearly weren’t there, swerving so violently at one point that it nearly gave them both whiplash. every attempt to snap you back into reality had been futile and it had taken a bit of quick thinking and close timing just to make sure that the scenario opposite of the chase in your memory didn’t lead to another awful crash.
the cut on your head was arguably nothing to gripe about when compared to the list of worst outcomes. you took another moment to rest before letting your brothers help you to your feet. dean’s patience seemed to run out the moment you were standing on your own.
“so, what is it that you think you saw this time?” he asked, his words clipped and unmistakingly incredulous.
“dean.”
the warning had come from sam this time, a small plea for dean to give you a little more time before the questions began. sam wanted answers—would eventually demand them even—but he had always had a little more tact than dean ever did. to his credit though, dean had taken a few seconds to consider the circumstances before deciding to ignore them completely in favor of his own sanity.
“no, sam. i think we deserve an explanation.” he argued, his eyes back on you. “a real explanation.”
you were sat at the table in bobby’s kitchen with the heels of your palms pressed against your eyes as you struggled to put enough words together to form coherent sentences. sentences that could accurately reflect what you’d gone through. sentences that explained away the chaos of the deadly situations you’d found yourself in the middle of.
despite everyone being on edge for the last stretch of the drive, the three of you had made it to bobby’s before midnight without any further issues. sam had flanked your side in the backseat just to keep an eye on you while dean quietly slipped back into a familiar brooding state in the driver’s seat.
you’d at least been patched up and fed a proper meal before the questions started again. sam, dean and bobby had formed a half circle around you at the kitchen table, listening intently as you walked them through the details of the memories you’d been forced to relive. your brother’s expressions had softened at the mention of mary, and dean had felt a pang of guilt when it was clear that the familiar strain of raw emotion lodged itself in the back of your throat. he’d been bitter about how dismissive and nonchalant you’d decided to be that first night, but it was clear that whatever the hell this was hadn’t exactly been a walk in the park for you.
explaining the second occurrence had been a little easier due to the fact that sam and dean both remembered the night of the crash. they had shown up just in time, taking on the rest of the nest in an intense showdown, the pouring rain acting as a steady, rhythmic accompaniment to the fight. you had lived with the knowledge that you would have been a goner if they hadn’t come to the rescue and the very same could be said for the past couple of days.
“i don’t know, bobby.” you started, “i’m definitely cursed..i just don’t know why or–or how.” you admitted, frustration palpable on your tongue.
bobby heaved a long sigh as he stood, reaching out to pat at your shoulder a couple times in reassurance.
“you should probably get some rest. we’ll figure this out in the morning.” he said, despite knowing he’d be up all night trying to find a solution.
“wait, that’s it?” dean cut in, standing just as bobby had moments before. “that’s the plan? just sleep it off?” he questioned harshly with his hands thrown in the air.
this time around, the proposition of sleep sounded a lot more appealing to you. you were exhausted, but still shared the same concerns as everyone else. you weren’t in control of any of this, and you didn’t trust yourself to be if you just so happened to be flung into another memory—another distraction that could lead to your demise.
“nothing weird happened for nearly an entire day after what happened at the gas station.” sam pointed out in a callback to his earlier observations. “maybe we have at least that much time in between.”
“yeah, and what if that’s not the case and cole sear here starts seeing things and walking around blind in the middle of the night?” dean shot back in a heated rebuttal.
you rolled your eyes at the daft reference but didn’t say anything in response to his words, because under all of his intensity and frustration, you knew that dean was afraid. afraid of what could happen and even more so afraid of not being able to stop it a third time.
“we’ll just keep an eye out.” bobby offered, leaving the room before dean could voice any more of his concerns.
you dreaded seeing the worry in his eyes, as well as the knit in sam’s brow that seemed to be perpetual at this point but your options were limited for the time being and you reasoned that sleep would add to whatever energy you’d managed to sustain thus far. if it helped with the ache coming from your head, even better.
you managed to slip out of the kitchen without any interference from dean and made your way up the stairs and into the bathroom, allowing your weight to fall against the door as you clicked it shut behind you.
you managed a deep breath, and forced yourself to cling to the idea that sam was right about the timing of the occurrences. you wanted to believe that it was over, but knew better than that. nothing was ever that simple. not for a winchester, anyway. shifting your weight, you pushed off the door and let out a sigh as deep as the one bobby had heaved in the kitchen, the similarity of it nearly causing you to laugh into the space of the tiny bathroom.
the amusement that had bubbled up had immediately retreated into the pit of your stomach the second you’d caught a glimpse of yourself in the mirror. tired didn’t fit the bill. you looked absolutely haunted. in an attempt to remedy a bit of the problem you began to splash your face with water on the coldest setting, droplets rolling off your chin as you stared up into the mirrored glass again.
it hadn’t helped much at all, but you'd lied and told yourself that you looked somewhat better than you had fifteen seconds before.
you prepared for another round of healthy splashes by cupping your hands underneath the stream of cold water, but stopped short just as the metallic shine of something caught your eye.
there, in the reflection of the mirror, dangling from your neck, was the gold plated necklace you’d purchased from the quaint vendor at the very first put stop. you let the water fall between your fingers as you reached for the chain, the pendent tightly gripped in the palm of your hand as you caught a hold of it. you tugged at the chain with one firm grip yanking it free from its clasp that broke with an embarrassing of ease—proving that it was just as cheap as you’d deduced it to be when you had bought it.
you never would have imagined it to be just as deadly.
p.s — the plot thickens even further! also, cole sear is the little boy from the sixth sense if you didn't know 🤣 i wanted to find another way to avoid using specific pronouns or y/n here and that's what i came up with & i thought it was hilarious and so very dean of him to say. hope you guys liked this part! look out for part four soon!

explaining the second occurrence had been a little easier due to the fact that sam and dean both remembered the night of the crash. they had shown up just in time, taking on the rest of the nest in an intense showdown, the pouring rain acting as a steady, rhythmic accompaniment to the fight. you had lived with the knowledge that you would have been a goner if they hadn’t come to the rescue and the very same could be said for the past couple of days.
“we’ll just keep an eye out.” bobby offered, leaving the room before dean could voice any more of his concerns.
you dreaded seeing the worry in his eyes, as well as the knit in sam’s brow that seemed to be perpetual at this point but your options were limited for the time being and you reasoned that sleep would add to whatever energy you’d managed to sustain thus far. if it helped with the ache coming from your head, even better.
you managed to slip out of the kitchen without any interference from dean and made your way up the stairs and into the bathroom, allowing your weight to fall against the door as you clicked it shut behind you.
you managed a deep breath, and forced yourself to cling to the idea that sam was right about the timing of the occurrences. you wanted to believe that it was over, but knew better than that. nothing was ever that simple. not for a winchester, anyway. shifting your weight, you pushed off the door and let out a sigh as deep as the one bobby had heaved in the kitchen, the similarity of it nearly causing you to laugh into the space of the tiny bathroom.
the amusement that had bubbled up had immediately retreated into the pit of your stomach the second you’d caught a glimpse of yourself in the mirror. tired didn’t fit the bill. you looked absolutely haunted. in an attempt to remedy a bit of the problem you began to splash your face with water on the coldest setting, droplets rolling off your chin as you stared up into the mirrored glass again.
it hadn’t helped much at all, but you'd lied and told yourself that you looked somewhat better than you had fifteen seconds before.
you prepared for another round of healthy splashes by cupping your hands underneath the stream of cold water, but stopped short just as the metallic shine of something caught your eye.
there, in the reflection of the mirror, dangling from your neck, was the gold plated necklace you’d purchased from the quaint vendor at the very first pit stop. you let the water fall between your fingers as you reached for the chain, the pendent tightly gripped in the palm of your hand as you caught a hold of it. you tugged at the chain with one firm grip, yanking it free from its clasp that broke with an embarrassing of ease—proving that it was just as cheap as you’d deduced it to be when you had bought it.
you never would have imagined it to be just as deadly.
