Zultanite- work in progress

I just wanted to show line art for my gemsona, Im gonna try my hardest to finish the full picture and profile in the next two weeks.Her gem is a snowflake cut. Nothing to elaborate, she tries to shine from the inside out.I tried to model her after my body shape as well as i could, she lost few pounds along the way.

Hey kids! If you’re a filmmaker, animator, or storyboard artist and you don’t know what screen direction is, you might want to read this.

For the record, there are always exceptions to the rule in filmmaking, which is why I pointed out 3 examples here.

I’ve also found that comic books tend to NOT take screen direction as seriously as film does, but I’m still on the fence if this is wise or not. My favorite comics pay close attention to screen direction so as to not confuse the reader.

I understand why people want to tell artists everything they post is perfect, but its not always the right way to treat what people post online. Something that doesnt meet an artists standards can definitely be perfect to someone else, but its not productive for the artist to keep holding onto the first draft.

“omg its perfect shut up!!! its beautiful” is well meant but not…. great to hear

make mistakes! get messy! i want to be able to post things that are mistakes and show people they can make something that looks gr8 AND walk away to make something better

and idk if anyone remembers how I used to talk about my art a few years back- unnecessary criticism can be born out of not feeling confident about ur work but artists should strive to stop insulting themselves and towards recognizing when they’re improving (which always comes with suffering u____u;;;;)
