Call me whatever i dont care lmao/art and shit have fun/artblog for d00dlef0x/please do not repost or trace my artwork!! Follow me on insta: doodlefox6
Im back on my sonic originals bs, I wanted to make a more true to my style version for how I draw these guys rather than only doing the simplified version lol. Anyways now theyre 80% more furry like, with a bonus version of indigo if she got a bit too quirky at night. Also i took a guess on rosemarys stomach fur, if she doesnt have any let me know and ill fix it (rosemary belongs to @yuriful-niku !)
Ngl these are probably my more detached from the original designs redesigns that ive done, even considering the past ones. But honestly? I am REALLY happy with how these have come out, and i hope you guys like them too!
(Btw, i didnt give them their knee armor things but lowkey i just didnt want to draw them LMAO, same thing for the malm tigers tail, but assume that palm cats know how to poach and use armor)
- Palm cats are an incredibly capable and incredibly intriguing species of monster, as well as every other member in its genus. Its appearance is almost perfectly split between feline and human, capable of easily switching from casually walking on two legs to an all four’s sprint in mere seconds. Their long claws are not only used for combat, though that is their main function, as they can be used to delicately pull small rodents or items from between cracks and crevices, their dexterity in these instances is second to none even when compared to lifelong seamstresses. Palm cats form small family clans (no more than 5-6 members) and prefer lightly wooded areas and rocky environments, making their homes in hand dug dens. They are also incredibly intelligent, capable of rudimentary human speech from merely overhearing and observing conversations. Depending on the local language, palm cat clans will take to it and use it, though sometimes they can end up learning more than one language which can cause confusion between clan members. Palm cats are highly territorial and will defend their homes with their lives, until a kit is old enough to defend themselves they will always be accompanied by a parent, if a kit is alone assume the worst has happened. There have been cases of a palm kit being taken in by people (often mistaken for a were-animal child) and raised like them, such cases can end up with the kit growing up with fully capable speech and fully integrated into their society, though their more base instincts can make them feel ostracized and alone.
- The malm tiger, despite its name, is more leopard in appearance. When malm tigers were first discovered the explorers had never seen a leopard before and used the only word they knew at the time. Since then the name has stuck and, although the scientific community has pushed to rename it, the larger public has become too used to it and regularly pushes back on efforts to rename it. Malm tigers live in below freezing temperatures and high altitude environments like mountains; thick and insulated fur keeps them warm and an enlarged lung capacity and heart ensures survival in the thin air. Malm tigers utilize ice magic when fighting, creating an outer layer of ice works well as not only armor, but also as a reinforcement to their claws or fangs, many foes of malm tigers have died minutes after being bitten, not from the bite itself but from the frostbite that comes with it. They often dig out caves into the mountain side and cuddle with members of its clan for warmth, in rare cases when the weather is particularly awful, clans will put their differences aside and temporarily form large cuddle piles to conserve warmth. On a sillier note, it is rumored that the fearsome yeti was merely a malm tiger who got caught in a snowstorm.
- Sechs cats are the smallest but toughest of the palm cats, surviving in less than tolerable conditions compared to every other member of its species. They live on the highest points in rocky mountain areas, capable of lunging and leaping up to 20 ft and have amazing balance. Like malm tigers, they have thick, insulated fur, and also like malm tigers they can tend to share habitats which leads to aggressive confrontations. Unlike malm tigers, however, their skin is much thicker and harder to pierce, meaning if they take an unfortunate tumble or scratch chances are its more surface level than anything serious.
- Lyplicants are considered one of the fastest monsters in the world, running up to speeds of 300 MPH and rarely seen by the naked eye. Their thin frames and long legs make them ideal for hiding in tall grasses and aerodynamic when hunting, all of this combined makes them a feared monster in the wild, where you never really know where or when they’ll pop out and hunt you. Funnily enough, they are nowhere near as intimidating as they appear to be, in fact they are frequently nervous and anxious, preferring to run away from danger than fight it head on. Since they prefer to stay far, far away from people they rarely if ever learn human speech, the few words they do learn are used incorrectly but are frequently used to indicate wanting you to stay back (even if the only word they know is “hello” or “bread”, strange indeed). Unfortunately, their numbers have dwindled quite a bit from monster poachers due to their pelts, this has lead to large scale conservation efforts where abandoned kits are either raised together or with a silver wolf pup, as their calm yet friendly demeanors puts the kit at ease.
- Leoplicant are the most aggressive and territorial of all the palm cats subspecies, claiming large swaths of land and defending it to their dying breath. They almost seem to revel in battle and intentionally seek it out typically against other leoplicants; it goes that one Leoplicant will intentionally trespass on another’s territory, the ensuing fight is violent and bloody and only ends until one falls dead or runs away, leaving the victor to take over their territory. As such, much like goblins, they collect scars with pride and show them off, monster researches believe for one reason is that the scars typically take the shape of a stripe so it could be strange form of body modification, like theyve gained a new stripe in battle. It is speculated that you can determine a leoplicants age from the number and health of their scars, which is handy as getting close to a leoplicant is far too dangerous, meaning a researcher can simply use a pair of binoculars and record their findings from a distance (unless it smells you of course).
This is a dumb idea ive had for a while lol, you know those lizards that can shoot blood from their eyes? I like to imagine poison can do that too but only toward sonic, it doesnt hurt him but it grosses and freaks him out so he likes to annoy him with it
My name is doodlefox and foxes are my favorite animal so like the predictable person that i am tails just so happens to be my favorite sonic character lmaooooo.
This is my own silly addition to the sonic originals verse and also a take on tails doll woop woop!
This little guy is named Nui and hes around 5-6, trapped in the same purgatory as niku and is cursed to turn into a doll when extremely stressed out. In doll form hes unable to move but can still see and feel his surroundings, after an hour or two he can turn back. However, if hes injured in this form and turns back, those injuries translate to his normal body (rip in his arm -> deep cut, head torn off -> 😬😬). Hes very anxious and scared most of the time so it doesnt help his curse situation, along with unfortunately having his fair share of being treated like a chew toy by the chimeras.
Had to draw these cuties when i got the time and now i do! I like to imagine niku gets all puffed up when they’re flustered, shout out to gay people fr
My own silly interpretations of indigo, poison and niku! Also some silly headcanon stuff below (appearance wise)
- indigo, on top of being the tallest, likes to float around which only makes her taller and more unnerving
- Nikus fur is constantly frazzled from the stress of living in a never ending hell, its actually relatively soft but until they escape their fur will remain a wreck
- Poisons bandages are purely for aesthetic, he thinks they look badass
- Poison has very pointy fur/quills and takes poor care them
- Indigo doesnt so much have fur as a sort of untextured 3D model, so theyre very smooth to the touch (unnervingly so)
- Niku is the shortest by quite a bit, they are not immune to being picked up and carried away (poison has most definitely “joked” about throwing them like a football)
The anarchics tarot card! Really tried to be as accurate to the original style as i could! I think it came out pretty well lol
Update: I made an upright and reversed description for her so she could technically be used as a real card if you so choose lol (i might go back and edit the wording one day but i think it works as intended for now)
Upright: the anarchic creates a whirlwind of changes and possibilities, there is endless potential within what she has wrought
Explanation: life isn’t a straight road and every bad day can lead to a new path in life, you must learn to live with the chaos rather than fight against it
Reversed: the anarchic loses herself in the chaos, she has lost sight of what it was all for
Explanation: you are being swept away by every little detail, refocus and narrow your priorities
The anarchic! She was the archetype that represented the unpredictable, chaotic nature of humanity and the world for better or for worse. She may or may not had been manipulated by a certain goat man into the “for worse” part and she got her ass handed to her for it. Anyways her outfit sucks (affectionately) and i love her (tried mimicking the style a bit too)
heres birsha! Shes my version of MC for the arcana, shes a little weirdo who also kisses girls (a certain girl named nadia especially) and definitely isnt a major arcana called “the anarchic” thats been reincarnated into a more human form with her memory wiped teehee. Also her familiar bertram! Hes a false gharial, hes not too bright, breathes manually and eats rocks but hes damn good at tying knots (do not ask how he does it no one knows)
Alright gang im stuck at a crossroads, ive still got quite a few monsters to redesign but I literally have no idea which one to do next so help me out pwease
At first i was like “how the hell do you make a chicken look cool” and then I remember that raptors exist so here you go
- cluckadoodles are a small town staple, practically every monster farmer will have at least a couple of them and will typically be all too happy to sell you an egg or two. Cluckadoodles have little to no sexual dimorphism; roosterdoodles, as theyre called, will be larger and have taller and thicker combs but will have no other distinguishing traits. Being a mostly domesticated species, they heavily rely on the farmer to take care of them, meanwhile those that are wild form hierarchys where a head roosterdoodle leads a flock of 10-15 cluckadoodles. Rarely do they ever stay in a single area, but come nesting season they typically pick covered areas or areas close to trees to avoid being swooped and eaten by flying monsters.
- Chuckadoodles are one of the many wonders of the monster world. They’re completely black (bones and organs included), with thinner feathers and a larger wattle and comb that extends to its tail allowing for easy heat release to combat the sweltering environment. Rather than feathered wings, chuckadoodles have almost dragon like appendages to allow easier flight within the complex tunnels and caves, with the membrane on its tail allowing for easy steering. Chuckadoodles are a rare monster to find and an even rarer monster to tame, they are one of the most aggressive of the cluckadoodles species and dont go anywhere without a fight. Their high aggression makes them highly territorial, thicker skin makes it extremely challenging when trying to land a hit and only members of its species seem to be fully capable of puncturing it. However, if youre lucky enough to successfully hunt one, many people will be willing to pay absurd amounts of money for its talons, meat and feathers. Many high valued dishes and items have been made from this monster, making it a highly sought after catch.
- Paradoodles are the tamest and smallest of the cluckadoodle species, their gentle yet cheeky demeanors and bright plumage have made them a highly sought after pet. Paradoodles have the unique ability to repeat words and phrases near perfectly, many prolific trainers and farmers have made their money teaching paradoodles to recite whole pages of books or singing songs. While they make for good pets they also tend to be neglected, paradoodles get highly stressed when not around at least one other member of its flock and can pluck their feathers from the stress. They also have meticulous diets and enrichment needs, are loud and with small hands can end up getting into things they aren’t supposed when left unsupervised. However there are plenty of good owners out there, as well as many varients of paradoodle plumages to choose from, each one deserving of a loving home and flock
- Mamadoodles are extremely similar to king woolys in how they are “born”, though with new research pointing to an abundance of runes to be the most likely culprit in their extreme size. Mamadoodles lead massive flocks, about 50 to 100 members, and tend to lead a matriarchal society rather than the typical roosterdoodle lead one. They are extremely broody and will adopt every cluckadoodle they can see, though this leads to conflicts with other mamadoodles and, much like what happens to king woolies, can end up starting entire wars between their separate flocks. There have been stories of travelers being “adopted” by these giant birds, which leads rescuers having to “trade” the travelers with newly hatched cluckadoodles. The problem can be so bad in some areas that rescuer posts simply have their own cluckadoodles on hand ready to trade them out.
Im really spoiling yall with all these posts lol, these are once again from last year ive just forgotten to write their lore until now, here you go!!
- silver wolves are the most common and widespread monster of all, rivaling that of orcs and meowlys. Their thick fur around their neck and hind legs protects their most vital points, along with sharp eyesight and smell it makes them a formidable foe in combat and sparring. Extremely sociable and strongly communal, it is no wonder that rider orcs took to them and formed such a tight bond. Silver wolves are so in sync with their pack that they practically never even look at the other to know what their next move would be, how theyre feeling or what they need; many speculate that silver wolves harness runes as a way to indirectly communicate with one another, meaning that just by being around each other they can sense everything they need to know. If a fellow pack mate were to fall ill, it is said that they can sense their end, gathering around them and comforting them as they move on. When the pack mate dies it is only then do the silver wolves truly make themselves known, howling for hours in mourning late into the night and sleeping one last time with them.
- Hunter wolves were once a true wolf species, striking fear into the hearts of many silver wolves, snatchers and cocky hunters alike. Though somehow, and no one knows who managed to do this, they were tamed and have been bred to hunt particularly dangerous monsters. While they do remain to be man best friend, their extreme strength and prey drive are deeply imbedded into its breed, meaning that newbie monster tamers should steer clear of these lovable yet ferocious creatures. Hunter wolves thrive in below zero temperature, as their thick fur would only make it miserable to be anywhere else. As previously stated they are especially adept at hunting large monsters; ice griffins, mammoths, palm cats, to hunter wolves they might as well be chipsqueeks. Of course, despite their proficiency in hunting, with proper training they can make fantastic guard dogs and house pets; many parents often keep collections of photos of their young kids snuggled up with their hunter wolves.
- Dragon wolves are mythical creatures said to be fertility spirits; the mythos goes that there was a runt silver wolf that was raised by a small, poor but happy village, the crops they grew were small and the land was near barren but the welcomed the runt nonetheless. One day when a pack of vicious snatchers attacked, the runt leapt in to action and fought them off, unfortunately at the cost of its life. Seeing this, the gods granted the runt new life and transformed it into a dragon wolf, granting the town beautiful crops and healthy land ever since. It is common place for families to make in home shrines and give it offerings in hopes of good harvest, usually pairing it together with a wild cat statue for extra luck. Some superstitious folks try to keep the two separate, believing that since ones a cat and the other a wolf they will clash and bring disastrous weather and destruction, other believe the two go hand in hand and should be kept close. Regardless, both are celebrated in festivals and stories and give hope to many farmers that their crops will be bountiful and plenty.
