I think your Cassidy being so, for lack of a better term, altruistic makes her turn as the vengeful spirit so much more effective and tragic. Because we know this isn't how it should be. This bright, sweet-natured kid who loves to read, a self-appointed guardian of her closest friends, whose first instinct when seeing a boy she's never met being bullied is to jump in and protect him, who just wants to care for others and be cared for in return, becoming so worn down and angry over time that her sole motivation becomes torturing her killer for all eternity even if it means costing her her own peace is profoundly wrong, a complete perversion of her nature - justice's even hand twisted and rotted into a hammer built out of her own bone, a chain tethering her to her own torment for a shot at inflicting an iota of it upon Afton. I have a soft spot for fanon Cassidy and am not above indulging in her usual fanon traits, but her being naturally aggressive has always seemed like a cop-out, a cheap and easy explanation to her behavior as Golden Freddy and TOYSNHK. Her not being like that naturally makes her eventual fate all the more tragic.

what particularly enamors me about cassidy in the logbook is that there is No Reason for her to help CC. of course, a selfless interpretation of her intentions is just that, an interpretation. it's not confirmed. but considering how out of it CC is, i think there is nothing stopping her from hooking to william's mind anyway.

and while i do get the idea of cassidy helping CC to get back at william for trying to bring him back (an interpretation i've sometimes come across), i feel like that doesn't align with cassidy's final comment; 'the party was for you'. i do not feel a strand of spite. it's words of reassurance, of affirmation. yes, this special event was for you. you can wipe your tears now.

and like i said, there is practically No reason for her to do all of that. i'd say that it would be a waste of time if you're focused on taking revenge. but it's a selfless act that's taken for no reason, aside from the simple need of helping a complete stranger. and it inspired me to go Yeah. i think she just naturally likes to help people. selflessness can add to a strong sense of justice.

i think what puts me off many aggressive cassidy interpretations is that she's often written to be such a loner, that she has little friends — it makes me think to myself, no. she would have a group of younger kids she took in because she protected them from bullies. she's someone you could trust to always have a candy in hand. she's someone who would notice tiny things about her friends that she likes.

and indeed, it's tragic to see all of that be thrown away.

More i think about it the more i realize it is actually interesting (beyond the whole. freddy is the main mascot so he gets special princess privileges) that of all of the mci/animatronics Charlie/The Puppet entrusts Gabrielle/Freddy to S-A-V-E-T-H-E-M

SAVETHEM in general is just... interesting. let's take a look at it (:

the minigame starts in party room 3, which is one of the places that withered freddy does go to in the game!

What should be noted is that charlie the puppet child in the minigame is moving towards the music box. which is like - i dunno about you But considering that it is the place where her animatronic rests in, it feels like a place to hide.

an interpretation of this is supported by her line in UCN; "I recognize you! But I'm not afraid of you. Not anymore." this implies that she was... scared of William, who was in the location when the DCI murders happened.

the parts & service room also shows that gabriel was the first one to activate. this also aligns with how the cutscenes in fnaf 2 implies that he might be the first one to wake up in the animatronic.

this also makes the minigame starting in party room 3 more interesting. because like... it could've started in parts & service, where the withereds actually reside. i'd say it is less about Why he's in Party Room 3 (though if any of you have an interpretation for that, i am open to reading it) and more that it implies he was walking around and active as the DCI was happening.

if we're going to interpret gabriel's behavior out of these tiny little abstract pieces, i'd say that it shows that he is one of the more active MCI kids. i feel like you can also argue that he is the one who has the most control over his animatronic. which does feel consistent with how freddy in fnaf 1 does Not backtrack

not to bring up fnaf 3's elusive BB's Air Adventure minigame which is oddly assigned to freddy child again......... But come on guys you have to complete that Twice for the good ending, especially since you have to get one of the endings to complete mangle's quest. i feel like gabriel truly was naturally a leader even before he died.
