Okay so funnily enough I actually liked the characters of riptide before I even knew what just rolled with it was. I was just scrolling on Pinterest one day for fish guy oc ideas, saw fanart of Gillion (before I knew who he was) and went “oh I like their vibe” and proceeded to use him as inspiration for my oc
flash forward and I have used that ONE piece of fanart so many times as inspo while drawing my fishy little guy that I decided to look into what character it was and found out he was from a dnd podcast called just roll with it and I went “oh that sounds cool it’s been a while since I’ve listened to a dnd podcast” (last one I got into was called tales from the stinky dragon but it’s been ages since I’ve listened to that) so I kinda made a mental note to check it out but didn’t get around to it until later
another time skip and I’m watching a TON of slimecicle videos, because for some reason my brain decided to latch on him (I blame the autism) so while I’m watching Charlie mentions he has a dnd podcast and I go “oh that sounds fun!!” Not at ALL connecting the dots until I Google it and go “OH IT’S THAT ONE DND PODCAST 🫵”
from there I started riptide got 20 episodes in and realized there was a prequel oneshot I probably should have listened to, went back, watched that, sat for a month straight all day every day listening to riptide (I’m not even exaggerating on that my sibling can vouch) finished that, and now I’ve started wonderlust :]]
