Inspired by Celtic knotwork, a wolf and eagle. I designed it ages ago for my spouse and myself, and I’d still be thrilled if I could get it on some medal or leatherwork on some useful household stuffs.

Feathered serpent, inspired by the creation story in Genesis and Quetzalcoatl.
Watercolor mono prints from college.
This something different than my usual style. I hosted an event at the library where we did collage art. I made samples and then a few more pieces on my own, using text from Stephanie Tolan’s “Is it a cheetah” essay.

These are on cardboard, using a combination of magazine cutouts, paint chip samples, laser jet printouts, and donated die cut letters. 2018.
Ooops. Posted to the wrong blog. Reblogging here. :)
Character art of college roommate’s LARP character, Tairus. :)
A collection of various animals, sketches and doodles.
John Lennon. The colors are based off the doodled self-portrait he made.
Sadly this is pretty wrinkled up, so forgive me putting glass beads on the corners and the ruler on the side to keep it from rolling up. It’s colored pencils and paint. 2004.
Boggart Snape, drawn probably 15+ years apart.
The anime-looking one had hours of time poured into it. The one drawn directly onto a page from Prisoner of Azkaban was knocked out in less than an hour, really a doodle. At some point I’d love to do this one more time and spend a solid chunk of time on it, see what happens with the practice I’ve had over the years.
I do find it absolutely amazing how similar my color choices were when I didn’t reference the earlier drawing!
This was done more recently. One of my fantastic teen library volunteers (who’s ALL GROWN UP AND AT SCAD NOW) sketched the head and left it at the Coloring Table in the YA section. I couldn’t help finishing it out. Said volunteer gets first dibs if wanted :)
All three of these come from my Drawing I class at Converse College. Teresa is an amazing teacher in that she managed to grade art classes fairly and was challenging as heck while also being encouraging and looking out for any student that was too hard on themselves.
Hahaha, and pro-tip? When your teacher asks if you’re sure you want to fill a glass Pom bottle with marbles for a still life challenge, maybe save yourself a headache and listen. 😂
Hair tied back. Pumpkin ale on. Music playing. Let the #greatdoodledownsizing begin. Will be posting work to https://www.facebook.com/events/231968144075111/?ti=icl soon. (at Griffin, Georgia) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bpsh7jhnf0D/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=5g5r4kdohuqv
I’m about to start posting stuff here and on Facebook! maybe on instagram too?
Cartoon kids. :)
Animal drawings! Goose, raven, jellyfish.
Luna and Artemis from the pillar candle project. The tails are redunkulously long but I love them.
Another one from the pillar candle sailor scout project. Sailor Mercury!
Designs for an art nouveau style pillar candle wrapper with different sailor scouts. I made the most progress on Sailor Jupiter. Wasn’t coming out the way I wanted but I think I could readdress this now with some better results.
