It doesn’t matter if you dislike frankie, dislike g3 or dislike the doll itself. I don’t even care if you immediately sell it.

It doesn’t even matter if you have no idea what a monster high is and just stumbled across this post from another corner of the internet entirely.

If you can? Buy them. Show Mattel that an explicitly lgbtqia+ playline doll is worth the trouble of making.

Show them that all the time they spent getting this thing into our hands after target refused to stock it was worth it.

Show them Frankies queerness is worth being explicit about in the doll line itself.

Jackson and Holt have been at Monster High the whole time, they just stay out of trouble and focus entirely on their classes because their parents will take away their allowance if their grades drop or if they get detention

I'm just super curious as to how no one figured out that Holt and Jackson were the same person. Like, did they think it was just a coincidence that every time Jackson disappeared, Holt would show up and vice versa? Wouldn't you notice something was off if you had a classmate that only showed up when the one monster kid was gone?

Because sure, Jackson wasn't popular by any means but he was well known around the school. The only explanation I can think of is that Jackson is simply known for skipping class so when Holt takes over, their classmates just assume he's ditching again and had some rando sit in for him.

This is, of course, unless I missed something either A) during my massive rewatch of G1 last month or B) in the books I haven't read since they came out and I just don't remember.

Well would ya look at that. Should've thought to look in the diaries, they're practically crucial to figuring out obscure facts about the G1 cast. Always in the last place you'd look.

I'm gonna keep holding on to my skipping idea as a headcanon though. It still works, just have to adjust it to the school figuring it out and deciding to just go "cool" and never bring it up again.

Since Heath is the son of the actual Hades in G3, cousin Holt and Jackson would have to be the sons of one of his siblings for the family tree to make sense. This means that while there might be a fire Holt with Hestia, there could also be an electric Holt with Zeus, water Holt with Poseidon, plant-esc Holt with Demeter, and a telekinetic Holt with Hera. Some of which are less likely when looking at other characters in the show already but the idea is still fun to play around with

People still not understanding that reboots, by definition, are going to be different from the original concepts they were based on is still the most annoying part of the whole G3 hate train the G1 stan's seem to have. Like who gives a shit if it's different, that's the whole fucking point.

I'm sick and tired of people trying to weaponize their nostalgia to get new projects either scrapped or cancelled just because it's different. I've already had to deal with it once before with Saints Row and I do not want to have to deal with it again with Monster High.

It's a new show for a new generation. Your time has passed and if you can't get on board with a project that's not written for your age demographic, then don't complain about it. You still have plenty of G1 content to re-watch and if you're still upset about G3, just pretend it doesn't exist and move on like the mature adults you are.

Too many of the G3 redesigns on Insta really weird me out. From what I've seen, one of the main issues that these adults seem to have with the show for kids is that the designs make them look too young and then they proceed to put the 15 year olds in clothes most adults wouldn't wear and caption it something like "Yassifying Clawdeen👑🐺 to give her back her ✨cunty✨ attitude 😘🤪" or some cringe shit like that.

I get that that's what G1 had going on but these are literally children. 15 year old children. All of them are wearing clothes that are typical for their age group, they don't need to be wearing mini skirts with a visible thong and crop tops that show underboob. If you want to redesign G3 to make them look more like G1 then go for it, just put them in age-appropriate versions of that style and don't shit on the new show while you're at it, it's called a reboot for a reason.

I'm like convinced that people who actually believe in the "Apple and Raven were switched at birth" theory watched the show with their eyes closed. Which part of "your destiny/parents don't define you" did you not understand. Gives off the same vibes as the monster high fans who say that the g1 ghouls would bully the g3 ghouls and that g3 is "too woke" as if monster high wasn't always about acceptance.

It is completely reasonable to assume that Jackson and Holt wouldn't have the surnames Jekyll and Hyde. The OG story takes place during the Victorian era. That was 224 years ago give or take, nearly 10 generations of family assuming they all had kids in their mid 20s.

It's incredibly unlikely their family would keep the surnames that long, especially considering they're branching out into other families. That also means that the two could theoretically be of any race assuming one of their ancestors fell in love with someone from the 99% of the world that isn't British.

I just love the thought of my boys not knowing they're Jekyll and Hyde because over the years they've adopted the surname Kim, Alvarez, or Ahmed. So far down the generational chain that their mutated genes are lying dormant waiting for someone, or something, to awaken them.

(I'm going stir crazy waiting for more episodes, can you tell??)
