Hi squidd!! Sorry for such a late response to this! Going to try writing this for Garrus and FemShep!
5. hands on the other person’s back, fingertips pressing under their top, drawing gentle circles against that small strip of bare skin that make them break the kiss with a gasp.
Garrus walked in to Shepard's quarters with the intent of sharing a glass and saw the commander going over the most recent mission report, leaning against the desk. Things had been quite stressful especially in wake of Udina's failed coup attempt.
Shepard looked restless, but a quick glance back and a relieved smile from her signaled a desire for additional company.
Wanting a way to relieve the stress, Garrus walked up behind her and gently took the datapad from her grasp, placing his other hand on her waist and spinning her around to face him.
"I think that can wait." He said gently, a sultry purr in his subvocals whilst tossing the datapad onto the desk.
Shepard, not entirely shocked by the turian's actions, gave him a smirk before aggressively planting her lips onto his. They hadn't had much of a chance for some reach and flexibility training since meeting up again on Menae, as Garrus opened his mouth to grant her entry, moans from the two signaled a clear desire to make up for lost time.
Garrus wasn't surprised with Shepard's ferocity as she pushed him into the bathroom door, giving his tongue a few teasing taps and moving her lips rhythmically around his plates. While he couldn't return the favor with lips of his own, the almost massage-like feeling of her lips drove an almost carnal desire in him.
Tracing his hands up her back while moaning into her mouth, biting at her tongue gently while sticking his own into hers, Garrus massaged every inch of Shepard's toned back, even through the slacks he could feel the scars Lazarus had inflicted on her that still had yet to heal. Not that he minded of course, his mind clouded with desire for the human as the ferocity of their kissing increased, tongues battling and head movements back and forward showed neither one of them giving in, but enjoying every second.
Eventually his hands found that piece of clothing some humans wore on their chest. Curiosity mixed with arousal as he traced a talon along the band, Shepard shivered at his touch while pulling the turian towards the bed.
His talon eventually found the place where the top met around the back, eager to see a reaction, he pressed into it tenderly, drawing circles as if pulling the trigger of his sniper rifle.
Shepard's eyes widened, breaking their incessant session with a loud gasp. Shock was soon replaced with intense desire. Lowering her eyes, it was now Shepard's turn to take the lead. She grabbed his cowl, shocking Garrus as the turian let out a cute whimper, she spun him around and shoved him onto his back, pouncing on him before he had any time to react and placed his hands on her hips again.
"Touch me there again Vakarian and we'll be doing some extra flexibility training." She huskily commanded. Garrus knew exactly what that meant and purred in excitement.
"I take that as a form of encouragement." He grinned as only a turian could while moving his hand back up to that same spot.
They both giggled at each other, excited as to where the moment was heading.
WIP Wednesday! Sorry I missed the last couple weeks tho.
This week: part of a scene from the games with a couple modifications where Vetra introduces Ryder and Cora to the Tempest, as well a deviation where Vetra has a proper conversation with Ryder that I felt was missing in the game.
"Part of the job. All things considered, it was an easy ask. And right now you need people tearing down obstacles, not putting up more." She explained while walking back up to the ship, gesturing to get the pair of them to follow her.
"Damn straight, thank god." Ryder muttered in relief.
"Glad to have someone aboard who takes action instead of just talking about it." Cora said in turn.
Neither could see the huge smile on Vetra's face, now very glad she had seemingly won them both over.
Upon entering the ship, Cora went off on her own. Vetra realized that Liam Kosta had snuck aboard without her noticing, witnessing the man pushing a couch into the other storage room, she was a little upset he had done so without talking to her as she had wanted to know everyone on the crew. There'd be time enough for that later though.
Vetra escorted Ryder around the ship, showing him around as the crew got the ship ready. She explained the purpose of each room and what he was able to do with it if necessary. During the tour, Ryder seemed focused on the details of each room, pensively listening to her talk with a seriousness she didn't expect.
At the end of the tour, Vetra took Ryder to the top of the ship where the quantum entanglement communicator was.
"It's all yours. She's light, stealthy, and the fastest ship in her class." She concluded as Ryder positioned himself against the railing, face illuminated by the artificial skylight of the Nexus.
"All ours, you mean." He responded. "I just got here, you all have as much ownership of this ship as me."
She was quite glad to hear such a comment. She was a little concerned that the ship would be run military given his background. Now she was relieved to know what type of operation he intended to run.
"Well we still need a leader, and you're it." She pointed out, subvocals intending a lighthearted tone.
"Yeah. Right. Still not used to that." He said with a sad chuckle.
Vetra came a little closer to him alongside the railing.
"Hey. Heard you've had a rough day. I may not be Lexi but if you ever need an ear, I got your back. I like to know the crew as well as I can."
Ryder looked despondent before giving a soft smile. "You know, you're the second turian today who's offered that sort of thing."
She laughed. "Let me guess, Kandros beat me to it?"
"Yep. He and Kesh both were pretty friendly."
"Well if Kesh likes you, you and I are gonna get along great."
Ryder turned to her and grinned. "You already thwarted Addison, so consider me firmly in your camp."
She laughed again. "Anytime, Ryder."
"You mentioned you had family, too?"
"Yeah. I have a sister. You do too, right?"
His expression returned to sadness as he stared glumly at the floor in front of him. "I did. I hope she makes it. Her pod got damaged when we showed up here."
*That must be what he was on the Hyperion for* "I'm sure she'll pull through." She tried to reassure.
"Your sister doing alright? Can't have been easy with everything going on from what I hear."
Vetra twiddled her thumbs. "She puts on a brave face, I'll say that. I worry about her though."
"Well if she's anything like you, she'll be alright."
That comment made her mandibles flare slightly.
"So where we headed?" She changed the subject, glad that he seemed to like her, but now wasn't the time for banter.
"Eos. I got SAM in my head, hopefully we'll be able to succeed there this time."

Sitina is in all of his dreams. Even when they weren’t talking, some part of her was there every night – a flash of blue the exact colour of her eyes, the scent of woodsmoke and sap from the Ariona Aetriae bark, the soft kiss of an item of clothing shared. She is so much a part of him that her absence hurts more than…
…he can’t remember what hurt him so much to put him here. He remembers a loud noise, and falling, but his memories are thick and heady. He cannot make sense of them in any way that matters.
There are trees around him, and he is strangely conscious of their being able to see him. He waves an awkward ‘hello’, realising as he does so that these are valley trees; they will have been reduced to ash by reaper weaponry.
The trees seem to mock him for his thoughts – we, our mettle tempered by Trebia, will not be so easily cowed. In that moment, he realises that he’s talking to spirits.
And immediately after, realises that means he’s probably not dreaming; he’s probably dead.
Caesus is pissed off at that.
8.12, and 29 for the writer asks, please!! (If I haven't already asked - in which case, pick whichever questions you'd more like to answer)
Hi soup!!
8.if you had to write a sequel to a fic, you’d write one for…
Well, I'm currently writing a sequel to Korlus lol. So I suppose that's the easy answer. I could maybe try writing a second chapter of It Needs to Be Said and having Shepard talk to Garrus about his being vulnerable tho!
12.a trope you’re really into right now
I'm pretty into hurt/comfort tropes! Anything to do with people comforting each other for a variety of things and using different methods makes me smile and excited to read, I esp like when it's used as a conduit to develop a relationship further (either platonic or romantic!).
29. how easy is it for you to come up with titles?
Depends on the story/chapter tbh. Sometimes I feel like I got the title almost immediately, other times it takes me weeks to find something that works, there's been a few chapters I've been writing where the title has changed like 10 times lol.
So I borrowed a bunch of these fictional kisses from this post and made it up into a prompt list. Feel free to reblog of course!
breaking the kiss to say something, staying so close that you’re murmuring into each other’s mouths
moving around while kissing, stumbling over things, pushing each other back against the wall/onto the bed
kissing so desperately that their whole body curves into the other person’s
throwing their arms around the other person, holding them close while they kiss
hands on the other person’s back, fingertips pressing under their top, drawing gentle circles against that small strip of bare skin that make them break the kiss with a gasp
lazy morning kisses before they’ve even opened their eyes, still mumbling half-incoherently, not wanting to wake up
routine kisses where the other person presents their cheek/forehead for the hello/goodbye kiss without even looking up from what they’re doing
being unable to open their eyes for a few moments afterward
one small kiss, pulling away for an instant, then devouring each other
staring at the other’s lips, trying not to kiss them, before giving in
when one stops the kiss to whisper “I’m sorry, are you sure you-” and they answer by kissing them more
a hoarse whisper “kiss me”
following the kiss with a series of kisses down the neck
starting with a kiss meant to be gentle, ending up in passion
a gentle “i love you” whispered after a soft kiss, followed immediately by a stronger kiss
when one person’s face is scrunched up, and the other one kisses their lips/nose/forehead
height difference kisses where one person has to bend do wn and the other is on their tippy toes
kisses where one person is sitting in the other’s lap
kisses meant to distract the other person from whatever they were intently doing
Sunsets on Korlus - My first one that I finished a little over a month ago. Even tho it's not perfect by any means, it will always hold a special place cause it was the first attempt I've made at writing something not a research paper. That, and I do think there's a lot of good things about it, I think I did a pretty good job at characterization and keeping a steady flow of action/slower beats and making every chapter unique.
There are things that I could have done better like giving the antagonist more time and fleshing out two of the characters a little bit better, but overall I think for a first fic I did a pretty ok job. (The sequel I hope will be much, much better).
So it's something in the Vetra long fic that was a catalyst for creating it. But I haven't written the scene yet!
The general jist is that after the Archon's flagship mission, I want to write a scene where Vetra confronts Ryder privately about his decision to let SAM kill him. We seldom get a moment of introspection into Ryder in the games, and I think this is a perfect moment to let his emotions boil to the surface in front of the person he trusts and cares about the most (it would be before the clifftop feelings confession, but it would be the moment they both realize they have some serious feelings for each other).
14. where do you get your inspiration?
For the fics? Other brilliant fic writers that are better than me, since they have such a good understanding of the characters (or the pairing type, in the case with Inara and Charlie). Sci-fi novels and shows also help (currently watching the Expanse! Watch it please it's fantastic).
And also my own wish for more of the world and not seeing certain ideas done yet inspire me to try my best to bring it to life somehow.
1. What's your oc's gender identity? What's their relationship to their gender?
While both of them are pretty comfortable in calling themselves a cis man and cis woman respectively, neither of them like to abide by stereotypical gender expectations (Inara is on record in calling human gender roles 'stupid, obstructive, and unnecessary assignments based on the contents of one's underwear').
They're very fluid in terms of the way they choose to carry themselves and their relationship with each other. Inara especially is perfectly fine wearing masculine clothes (and prefers them in some instances). Charlie has no issue in being seen as feminine either. Neither likes being pigeonholed essentially even if they would say they're both cis.
2. What's your oc's orientation? (Romantic/sexual/platonic alterous ect) Do they have opinions about it?
Inara would say she's bisexual and heteromantic. She's not opposed to dating anyone AFAB and has done it before, but she does generally prefer AMAB people in long term relationships.
Charlie on the other hand is comfortably pansexual and pan-romantic. He finds something attractive about anyone regardless of identity. He's dated around the spectrum and doesn't have a preference really.
17. Do you share identity with any of your ocs? Which ones?
I answered this previously but I'll post the answer here as well!
There is one OC which I haven't finalized all the details of who will become important later that I think I share an identity with in terms of their sexuality and identity. They're a turian who is close childhood friends with Charlie, and the more I write details the more I'm like 'this is me', I'm excited to share them at some point!

They're a turian who is close childhood friends with Charlie, and the more I write details the more I'm like 'this is me', I'm excited to share them at some point! Reason I can't go into specifics is because of the other questions, which I'll explain!
20. Have your ocs helped you in self discovery? How?
And also 21. The ramble!
The answer is yes, with both Inara and Charlie and the other person. Although it's more accurate to say they're currently helping.
It was in the past year or so where I finally accepted the fact that I'm not straight (and I have a lot of questions about my own gender identity as well). But, I can't exactly put into words yet what it is I am, cause I'm still figuring that part out. Writing about these two has helped me figure out some things about myself. But not as much as the other person has so far.
The other OC is also helping me along that path, and I hope to find out more soon the more I write. It's very much a journey, and one with a lot of nerves associated with it, but I need to see where this goes.
1. What's your oc's gender identity? What's their relationship to their gender?
2. What's your oc's orientation? (Romantic/sexual/platonic alterous ect) Do they have opinions about it?
3. How did your oc discover themself? Did something cause them to question, or did they always know?
4. Is your oc's environment supportive about their identity? How does this impact them?
5. How did you figure out your oc's identity?
6. How does your oc feel about labels? Theirs, or in general?
7. Is there something that could cause your oc to question their identity? What?
8. Have they had struggles with their identity, be it due to internal or external reasons?
9. Are there cultural or lore specific aspects to their identity? If applicable, does their species affect it?
10. Does your oc celebrate Pride? How?
11. Is your oc open about their identity? Are they more lowkey or more blunt about it? Why or why not?
12. Does/did your oc ever wish they could change the way they are? Why? If it's in the past, how did they get over the feeling? (this can be about internalized homo/transphobia)
13. Would your oc be open to a poly relationship? Why or why not?
[Not aimed at a specific character] / [Aimed at creator]
14. Do you have ocs on the aro or ace spectrum?
15. Do any of your ocs use neopronouns? Which ones?
16. Did you ever change an oc's identity when they were already established? Why?
17. Do you share identity with any of your ocs? Which ones?
18. Do you prefer to give your ocs specific labels, or keep it unspecified? Why? If applicable, do you change their labels depending on circumstance?
19. Do you have preferences about depicting homo/transphobia in your stories? What, and why? Does it vary by story?
20. Have your ocs helped you in self discovery? How?
