Hi, everyone!
Yes, Iâm back. I didnât fall off the face of the earth. A lot has happened, and so I should give you all a rundown in what has happened the past year or so.
First and foremost, I got a new job! Iâve been in it for a year now. Super stressful at times, but I love what I do. I used to work early morning shifts at McDonalds (I didnât mind the early morning bit), but now I do administration and scheduling at my local hospital. The solid schedule, steady hours, and getting my own health insurance has been awesome.
-I moved! Long story short, I loved to a new apartment closer to work since I donât drive. Iâm able to walk home for lunch every day, and I DONâT miss walking 20 minutes one way. đ
-I got a third cat. No, Iâm not a crazy cat lady. I love dogs, too! But my shelter was sponsored by a local dealership for the month of October, so I COULDNT POSSIBLY say no to the little guy!
- So, Iâve always been a theatre kid, and Iâve been into Voice Acting the past couple of years. I stumbled across a project and decided to audition back in September. After answering some questions, doing a mini demo real, and later being invited into the group, I was able to do a call back for a role I auditioned for. Now two months after my initial audition and hanging out with everyone, most the roles have finally been cast for a fantastic Voltron fan project. As nervous as I was when they announced theyâve done castings for the first episode. I couldnât be more excited! Iâm sure its no surprise to you guys who Iâll have the pleasure of voicing. đđđąđť
But seriously! Voltron Legendary DeFANder is a fan-based project compiled purely of volunteers. Theyâre such an awesome group and still more people to help out. You can find them here on tumblr @vldefander to learn more about what they do and even inquire about more volunteers! Any questions regarding the project, please contact them to find out how you can help. Itâs like our own little Voltron Coalition. And sorry, guys. No spoilers, here. đ
Form Voltron! đâ¤ď¸đ¤đđ
Celebrating these wins for increasing the diversity of representation in government! đ

We are sharing some of our favourite gifs each day this month for Antifa Internationalâs fifth anniversary. Today: Nazi monuments being destroyed after the defeat of Nazi Germany.
If this offends you đ unfollow me đ
And a note to confederates: these monuments werenât kept because this was âhistoryâ. These monuments celebrated horrible things and we BLEW THEM UP.

John Boyega at Hyde Park demonstration #BlackLivesMattter
[Transcript]
[Boyega]: I want to thank every single one of you for coming out. This is very importantâthis is very vital. Black lives have always mattered! We have always been important. We have always meant something. We have always succeeded regardless, and now is the time. I ainât waiting! I ainât waiting! I have been born in this country, Iâm 28 years old, born and raised in London, Iâve grown tiredâevery black person understands and realizes the first time you are reminded that you are black. You remember, every black person in here remembers, when another person reminded you that you are black. So none of you out there, all those protestors on the other side protesting against what we want to do, protesting against what we want to try and achieve, [?] you, because this is so vital.
[Other voices, to crowd]: Sit down! Sit down!
[Boyega]: Sit down, guys, we have to sit down. If you could sit down, if you can sit down. Now I need you guys to understand, I need you to understand now how painful this shit is! I need you to understand how painful it is to be reminded every day that your race means nothing! And that isnât the case anymore. That is never the case anymore. We are going to try todayâwe are a physical representation of our support for George Floyd.
[Crowd cheers]
[Boyega]: We are a physical representation of our support for Sandra Bland! We are a physical representation of our support for Trayvon Martin! We are a physical representation of our support for Stephen Lawrence! For Mark Duggan! It is very, very important that we keep control of this moment and we make this as peaceful as possible. We make this as peaceful and as organized as possible. Because you know what, guys, they want us to mess up. They want us to be disorganized. But not today! Not today!
[Other voices]: Not today!
[Boyega]: Not today! And now this message is specifically for black men. Black men, weâ[Boyega cuts off, crying and bending over from emotion]
[Crowd]: Speak! Speak!
[Other voices]: You can do this, youâve got this.
[Boyega]: Black men, black men, we need to take care of our black women. We need to take care of them! They are our hearts! They are our hearts, they are our future, we cannot demonize our own. We are the pillars of the family. Imagine this, a nation that is set up with individual families that are thriving, that are healthy, that communicate, that raise their children in love, have a better rate of becoming better human beings, and thatâs what we need to create. Black men, it starts with you, and itâs done, manâwe canât be trash no more. We have to be better.
You donât understand, Iâm speaking to you from the heart. Look, I donât know if Iâm going to have a career after this. But fuck that--[words bleeped out]. This, today, is about innocent people who were halfway through their process. We donât know what George Floyd could have achieved; we donât know what Sandra Bland could have achieved. But today weâre going to make sure that that wonât be an alien thought to our young ones. Iâm sure you lot came today, you left your kids, and when you see your kids there aimlessly playing, they donât understand whatâs going on. Today is the day that we remind them that we are dedicated, and this is a lifelong dedication. Guys, we donât leave here and stop, you know. We donât leave here and stop. This is longevity. Some of you are artists, some of you are bankers, some of you are lawyers, some of you own shops, stores. You are important. Your individual power, your individual right, is very, very important. We can all join together to make this a better world. We can all join together to make this special. We can all join together!

Please keep boosting this, free knowledge is so important people.
Potent minimalist art sends a strong message about police and vigilante brutality in America
Journalist and artist Shirin Barghi has created a gripping, thought-provoking series of graphics that not only examines racial prejudice in todayâs America, but also captures the sense of humanity that often gets lost in news coverage. Titled âLast Words,â the graphics illustrate the last recorded words by Brown and other young black people â Trayvon Martin, Oscar Grant and others â who have been killed by police in recent years.
Let us not forget their voices
black people, please take care of yourselves. please take care of your health. please take care of your mind. please take care of your spirit.
i understand if your soul is not at peace. i understand if you are exhausted. just, please take care of yourselves in these dark, hateful times and surround yourself with people who understand why.
any black followers and friends, a thread of mental health resources if you need them can be found here!
Itâs black history month so as a black girl, Iâd like to leave a few reminders for non-black people:
â˘Recognize the fact that many black people are a part of the LGBT community and that itâs not just white people who can be gay, bi, etc.
â˘Acknowledge the black men and women that have been victims of hate crimes
â˘Include black women in your feminism
â˘If a black person calls you out over something racist that youâve said, donât say âWell actually...â or âMy black friend says...â Just donât. If youâre getting called out for something, itâs for a reason.
â˘Donât speak over us.
â˘Donât act like you know better than we do about our own history and/or culture
Non-black people can rb but donât add anything.
