Clearly, he wasn’t expecting any of those answers from the shocked look on his face.
“…But…I…I still…I’m a monster…and you’re an honorable person…I…I don’t understand why you’re attracted to me…I just…” He shuffled, shame on his face, but at the very least he wasn’t…freaking out about the other being the sniper anymore?
Numair disagreed with that sentiment. Obi was far from a monster. The ability to kill and willingness to do so didn't inherently make someone a monster. Someone like himself even, who had been in the military, had learned how to kill with little remorse too, but that didn't make Numair a monster either.
"No, you're not a monster either. And I'm not sure why you think that. Because you've killed people? So have I. Because you didn't feel remorse at the time for it? Me neither for a lot of my kills, especially in the service of the military. So give me a reason that doesn't involve those, and I'll listen. But I still won't think you're a monster."
