The death in the family
More Dathomir younglings, I love love love drawing them! +I had a lucid memory of 11 year old me practising Aikido with my jedi braid and younger kids being annoying in class, I think I was as patient as Obi-Wan.
Which ao3 tag are you?
Saw this, looks fun!

Haha, truuu
an extremely funny side effect of putting vader in very single sw media post clone wars is that his track record for hunting down and killing force users gets progressively worse. correct me if i’m wrong but i’m pretty sure maul: shadow lord takes place only a few years after the empire takes power and anakin can’t even take down maul, the dude he literally replaced. absolutely hilarious. palpatine you fucked up big time. can you imagine the zoom call afterwards
I JUST LEARNED THAT ANIKAN KILLED A BUNCH OF KIDS AN APPARENTLY ALL OUT OF HIS OWN VOLITION WTF IS TS😭😭😭
obi-wan looking the hottest he’s ever looked in the episode he’s the most miserable is honestly vile
Darth Vader wearing a tshirt that says "I love my gay son." Luke asks "How long have you known?" and Vader just goes "Wha-huh?" and turns around to reveal the picture of 3PO on the back.
Happy resurgence day for all who celebrate
This comic lives rent-free in my head.
may the 4th be with you!
Idk if you are an Ahsoka fan.... I used to like her a lot. I especially do in TCW.
But dear Gods. Am I tired of hearing the takes:
- Anakin wouldn't have fallen to the dark side if Ahsoka remained on the Order (When his fall has so many multilayered reasons, none of them attached to Ahsoka)
- Anakin loved Ahsoka more than his children. (This one especially really pisses me off the most. Like. It truly does. Everything I can remember is that Vader did kill Ahsoka on Malachor, and she would have died if she wasn't Filonis favorite character who made Erza literally pull her out of the battle through time and space. If that is not plot armor, I don't know what else is.
I just can't. I can't. I swear. I try. Maybe I am too sensitive but whenever I hear someone say Vader/Anakin loved ahsoka more than he did his children, that Ahsoka could bring him back to the light, I feel like a bitter old lady. Because NO! HE DOES NOT AND SHE WOULDNT BE ABLE TO DO SO.
Personally I like Ahsoka, but I accept her place in canon as a liminal character and an EU retcon, and my understanding of her character is rooted in that.
Would Ahsoka staying with the Jedi helped Anakin stay in the Light in the PT? To that, I say it's complicated: if you want to look at TCW plotline, does the Wrong Jedi arc still happen? Is Ahsoka still falsely accused? Because if Ahsoka weren't falsely accused and her name cleared, she wouldn't have been offered the rank of Knight, which would have promoted Anakin to Mastery had she accepted, at least in theory. And the fact Anakin was denied the rank in ROTS despite being promoted to the Jedi Council is a plot point in the novelization because the rank would have allowed him to access deeper knowledge in the hopes of saving Padmé. And in addition to that, Ahsoka staying could theoretically help Anakin maintain his support network a bit better. BUT on the other hand, 1) the Jedi having Mastery-level knowledge to save her is not a guarantee either, and 2) skeevy Sheev is clever and can probably still twist a way for Anakin to Fall despite changed events, e.g. sending Ahsoka to Mandalore as in TCW S7. As much as I enjoy fix-it fics where Anakin doesn't Fall, I think we should also be realistic here, especially considering once again that she is a retcon.
Would Ahsoka have been able to bring Anakin back to the Light in Rebels/OT-era? I answered an ask similar to that a month and a half ago in more detail, and to summarize, as much as I enjoy fix-it fics where it happens, I say either "there's no guarantee" or simply "no". If fans believe Ahsoka does stand a chance (from a Watsonian perspective), she never got that chance to do so. And if not that, Anakin and Ahsoka first met and bonded in the context of the Jedi Order, and Anakin would have thusly associated her with that, with all the ramifications entailed.
I enjoy a lot of fix-it fics and AUs where things are better because characters are less emotionally constipated or whatnot, but I go in with the full and unmitigated understanding that this is not the case in canon (i.e. the fanfic version of "acceptable breaks from reality"), so I'm not mad about it, I'm just accepting AUs as they are, including Ahsoka's status as an EU character and not a core saga character.
As far as I'm concerned her presence couldn't possibly have hurt matters.
AOTC is the greatest work of fiction ever made
I got a comment on one of my TikTok videos that really didn’t sit right with me. It basically said “any pretty girl could’ve played Princess Leia.”
That couldn’t be further from the truth.
A lot of people don’t realize this but Carrie Fisher was also a script doctor. She was brought in to punch up dialogue and develop characters in films like Hook, Sister Act, The wedding singer, and more. She even started doing this work on Star Wars, especially during The Empire Strikes Back.
And while Harrison Ford gets a lot of credit for changing the line to “I know” (which was iconic), that was just one moment. Carrie wrote and rewrote so much dialogue some of it even for other characters.
So no not just “any pretty girl” could’ve played her. Carrie Fisher was brilliant and incredibly witty. She added so much depth to Star Wars and the dialogue we all love so much wouldn’t have been the same without her. Thank you for coming to my ted talk lol
He likes the blue ones better. The yellow ones are his second favorite. He does not stop eating crayons after this.
Palpatine aka Darth Sidious was afraid to fight Kenobi. And with good reason. Every Sith man who fought Kenobi ...
lost his dick.
Darth Maul? Kenobi gave him unelective bottom surgery. As in, the whole bottom.
Darth Vader? Kenobi left him beside a river of lava on Mustafar to get his dick burned off.
Darth Tyranus? A trans man (not many people know that) and Kenobi accidentally blew it up along with all of Dooku's luggage when he accidebtally blew up Dooku's ship before Episode II (it's why Dooku turned to the Dark Side, in fact).
(here he is after finding out about it)
So, yeah, Palpatine/Sidious really didn't want to risk facing Kenobi.
They really didn't wanna pay a voice actor for vader huh?
