He laughed a bit when he talked about how none of their siblings ever hit him and he shook his head at that. “Aw, but you were our little brat. I mean, to be fair, I’m pretty Hell came close to taking you out. But that’s nothing new with her,” he said with a grin, thinking of Helene. “And anyways, teenagers are going to act like assholes. It’s kind of what they do. I know I was pretty dramatic for most of my teenage years,” he admitted with a small shrug, finishing up with the cutting and starting to clean up the small mess he made. Hearing about what could have happened to Korbin, he sighed through his nose as he glanced over towards him. “You never know. But thankfully, Helene was so suspicious of her,” he said, knowing that Korbin had said before that the condom incident was the turning point for him. “And the good news is that none of that stuff happened. It’s only going to get better from here on out,” he said encouragingly, smiling at Korbin again. Hearing his question, the smile slowly faded off of his face as he sighed once more. It had happened a few years ago already, but it never really seemed to leave him completely. “I just had to keep reminding myself that none of what happened was my fault. That it was only his fault and that I was the victim,” he said, looking to Korbin, knowing that his brother had spent so much time and energy blaming himself. “It’s so important that you keep reminding yourself of that, adelfos. Honestly. Once you keep that in mind, it changes your whole mind set. It makes it easier to heal and move on,” he told him seriously, meeting his gaze as he left his cooking alone for now. “Being around family obviously helped, too. Being around people who cared about me and helped me keep my mind distracted worked wonders.”
Hearing Kelian’s words, Korbin chewed at his bottom lip roughly before looking over to him. It was his tone of voice, the way he stood, and how his demeanor changed that had Korbin moving over to him slowly. Wrapping his arms around his older brother, he hugged him tight. It killed Korbin when Kelian was brought back due to what happened to him. If Korbin had his way, he would’ve driven down to California and kicked that guy’s asshole. “S 'agapó, aderfí.” He whispered to him, kissing his cheek roughly before pulling his head back. “I need to find a new hobby. Mind helping me find one? I need something that’ll keep my mind off of it.”
