((So it’s Halloween month and I wanted to draw Vardan as a monster, because of reasons. Vardan comes from a very good gene pool of both Spaniard and Greek parents, thus my choice to make him into a lamia; it’s the subtle cultural nods in these Overwatchskins that give me life and this is my attempt at the formula. And of course, with all the Vampire Siebrens I’ve been seeing on Tumblr, it only felt natural to keep with the theme until Blizzard releases something official.))

Hello my dear, i hope you are having a pleasant evening as well. Animal blood is a kind of last resort for me, for it does not only taste disgusting, it also only satiates the thirst for a short time. My main source of blood are humans. But don’t worry, i don’t drink a single drop unless i’m sure that said human is one hundred percent fine with me doing it. Well… there has been a few exceptions now and then, especially when i was a younger vampire, or when i haven’t had a drink in months.But alas, why do you ask, my dear? Interested on applications?

You are the second person to make that comparison XD lol.Honestly, I took inspiration from both Dr. Strange and Tony Stark because I just love their bone structure: Strange’s high cheekbones, Stark’s doe-shaped eyes, awesome facial hair… I made Vardan a surgeon due to Dr. Strange’s origin story too. Thankfully I decided against the arrogance both characters carry, but there might be a sprinkling of Dr. McCoy from StarTrek as well. BUT, admittedly Tony Stark -is- my favorite hero in the MCU, so it probably is fitting indeed!
Now if only I would remember to give him wrinkles like an actual 58-year-old man, then I’d be onto something. XP
I do love Tony’s character arc though; he becomes injured and pretty much cybernetics himself into becoming a guy who can hit back. Vardan’s development was a touch like Rodey’s, given how things ended in the Civil War movie; overcoming a disability with the help of sci-fi technology. Dr. Strange went through surgery after surgery to regain neurological control over his hands but overcame his disability through other means. All of these characters had something awful happen to them physically and they’re all like, “I lived bitch, now what?” And they came back stronger than ever. Really inspirational!

This question kinda hit home for me... I am only speaking from my personal experiences (admittedly, I have not tried group therapy for myself yet, but I have considered it), so take it as you may.
Depression and Anxiety can be hard to deal with at times. A mind can be a battlefield within itself, it all depends on what you supply to each side that can make the difference. There are days you don't want to do anything, but you can't let that little demon win, do something (no matter how little or big) just to spite it. Is that voice telling you that you are not worthy? Tell it off. Do not let it win. Sooner or later, that loud voice will be muffled and life will go forward. It all depends on you and your choices really. If you go through intrusive thoughts, in my experience, they can be considered normal; we as human beings are thinking machines- our brain literally does not stop working, thoughts and connections are created with every second of every day. Dark or toxic thinking does not define who you are as a person. They are only thoughts and they can pass by like a fog by a breeze. But if you realize that you are feeling desensitized by such thoughts, and you are feeling trapped within your own mind, please do (not try- do) your best to seek help. Ultimately, it's up to you if you want to reach out. That change is up to you. It'll be hard work, but I believe you can do it.

A Professional Opinion
Professionals have an unspoken rule as to not speak ill of one another, especially if the said professionals do not know each other very well, it's just bad form altogether. With that said, Moira has made strides in her field, that cannot be denied; it was just her methods in order to achieve said achievements leave others cringing. There is a long history of medical and scientific discoveries with both ethical and less restricted lines these discoveries cross; both are sides of the same coin. However, if someone causes harm for harm sake, that is not considered a scientific method, in Vardan's opinion. He has met plenty of people with "Doctor" in front of their names that proved to be less than savory people in both methods and personality. Vardan, being a retired doctor due to his health and recovery over the last three years, it does grant him the flexibility to be opinionated in a more casual setting.
Technically, Moira isn’t a medical doctor, but in Vardan’s view if you are the acting healer, then you have a moral responsibility.
