just found out my dog probably has cancer, i’m so heartbroken

#it’s in her hind leg and she can barely put any weight on it and i can tell she’s hurting #i don’t really know what our next steps are #x-rays showed smth suspicious but didn’t 100% confirm cancer. so we’re being referred #we might do a biopsy #which will definitively tell us and help direct our treatment options #but i have a feeling it’s gonna be either amputation or pain management until we put her to sleep #but i don’t want to amputate her leg #so like is there even a reason to pay $$$ for a biopsy #i love her so much but she’s 11 now and i dont want to see her suffer #i think this is the beginning of the end and i can’t stop crying
