Finally finished my beastars OC! I gotta draw him in the style of the comic at some point 😅

I don’t usually make characters from other universes but honestly the carnivore/herbivore dynamic and the lore behind hybrids was too tempting not to mess with.

He’s a red kangaroo x saltwater crocodile hybrid, who mostly gets away with being in public by wearing a hat, trench coat, and by shaving any visible fur, stating that discoloured scales are simply from a skin condition that he doesn’t want to talk about (being an abnormally large croc at 6’7 this usually gets anyone who is being nosy to stop asking). He has a deep rooted history with the black market and illegal bare knuckle fights.

Fun(ish) fact: Kuragari attended the black market kindergarten for hybrids

Welp. They’ve done it. @nebula-horizons has finally infected me with Around The World With Willy Fog.

We both watched the show as kids so re watching it was incredibly nostalgic for me.

However I do disagree with a few of the designs, notably ones that don’t match the animal they’re meant to be. Rigodon is supposedly a French lynx, however his design makes him just look like a normal cat and so I’ve done a quick (kinda bad) doodle on how I think he could have looked if he was designed a little more true to his species.

The colouring is patchy, the lines are shaky but this is just to put a visual to my thoughts and honestly I just think he’d look better with ear tufties and more cheek fluff 🤷
