-Magic: The Gathering! A fun family game where we all team up against my father!

What do you mean my mom gets a summons to county fucking court because the neighbors that have only been here for 3 years who bleach their yard dead and barren reported us to the county for having wildflowers, milkweed, and vines (that never even went into their yard mind you) so my mom has to hire a landscaper or pay 5k to the county

And now the landscaper literally just clear cut EVERYTHING so i guess the abundance of birds and beetles and butterflies and fireflies we had was good while it lasted (we even got our first deer this year!!)

And I think it's kind of broken that society says people who want to do stuff like that have "low" ambition (not you OP, I get you're using it illustratively because that's what society labels said jobs) and don't deserve to live at the same standard as people with "high" ambitions.

If we need someone to do a job, that job is a role in the community and deserves not just a salary but cultural respect for the role.

"high" ambition jobs are all jobs that involve domineering and controlling others. "low" ambition jobs are all jobs that involve service to others. Have you noticed? Because I have noticed.

Yeah it's basically canon to me at this point that they just smell like air fresheners. Especially with that one scene in MAW where 'fresh' is used as a synonym for 'bad'. You know, the one where they take the baby to the baseball game. So I think they naturally smell fresh.

Personally, I like to believe that Randall smells like chai tea, cause lizards are kinda spicy. Mike probably smells like lime jello. For no other reason than I think it would be funny for Mike to smell like lime jello because he kinda looks like lime jello.

Some women who write romance really need to start understanding that the “star-crossed lovers” trope stops being cute when the man is already in a relationship and screws over another woman by cheating on her, whether physically or emotionally, and everything gets justified as “true love.” Like, girls, all you’re achieving is making the protagonists absolutely disgusting to us and making yourselves come across as misogynistic as hell for romanticizing MEN who cheat on their partners.

One of the things I love about Ysoris (aside from literally everything else about him) is how fucking useful he is in combat. The game truly gets 1000% easier after you pick him up. Every single one of his attacks is area of effect, and a couple of them hit MULTIPLE nexuses (nexi?). He has a move that heals him. He can hack the robots. And on top of that, he has DOUBLE the health of every other character. So not only can he dish out hits, he can tank them like a pro. Plus, his battle theme slaps.

I didn't know how else to send this (this isn't my main blog so I couldn't just message you) but I thought you'd enjoy a Ysoris cookie! (never made that chibi of him, but I'll get on that once I've made a couple of cookies!) I'm doing a thing for my stream and I couldn't NOT include Ysoris.

Good news! I finally convinced another person to play Edge of Eternity!

The bad news is I have to wait for them to get halfway through the game before I can yap about my beloved trash bastard Ysoris so I don't spoil anything.

Listen. Listen. I fear Daryon and Sil is for the guys. But Selene and Ysoris? That's for the girlies. It's about the GROWTH and CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. It's about the barely perceptible blush on his character portrait. It's about the way Selene looks at this sad, traumatized, broken man and chooses radical kindness. It's about how, when extended an olive branch, Ysoris gets up off his ass and decides to be better. Look at me. It's about "Is my battery acting up? Oh no... It's my heart." It's the YEARNING. It's the softness in his voice when he talks to her. It's how he was willing to give himself up to Vaughn because he knows Selene loves her people, and he knows it would kill her to see her mentor hurt. Shut up. It's about how Selene, despite the religious feud, is curious about his faith. It's about how Selene is completely crazy, and Ysoris respects her for it (and maybe slightly fears her). It's about how she trusts him implicitly through both clockwork fields. I'm not crying, you're crying. It's about how she stubbornly refuses to let him wallow in self-pity, and does everything in her power to make him see his worth. It's about how he notices that she's having the time of her life doing crazy dangerous shit, while her brother is too focused on keeping her away from harm. Their relationship is so masterfully crafted and it is a crying shame that this fandom consists of three people and a shoelace.

Other people with their favorite videogame characters: This is the Doom Slayer, feared across all of Hell due to his prowess at killing Demons. He killed the Icon of Sin and his whole family is dead.

By the way, I have played Baldur's Gate 3. And Ysoris is STILL somehow my favorite character in any videogame. This sad alcoholic bastard has captivated me MORE THAN THE SEXY VAMPIRE.
