[[Birthday present for a nerd.]]
2 kind darlings carried me through placement matches, this is for 1 of them
Rough Kiss
The oni allowed yet another growl to come rumbling up from deep in his chest, soft vibrations coming up to spread along Talon’s raw and tender lips. The hands he had around the assassin shifted, pulling him impossibly closer. Lowering his arms, Yasuo lifted them with a huff, getting the both of them on their feet. Reluctantly, he broke from Talon’s kiss, and guided him hurriedly outside. Also having little to no concern for the bartender and their empty drinks; walking away without paying. “This way.”
Once they were both outside of the small building, the ronin slipped Talon into his grasp roughly, lifting them up and carrying them towards the back alley. Once he felt that they were out of sight from any passersby, Yasuo quickly freed himself of his Hannya, dropping it to the floor and pushing Talon up against the wall. A territorial thrum ran bubbled up from his throat as he brought his nose to nudge against their neck. His hands roamed over the assassin’s form hungrily, pushing one knee between their legs to spread them apart.
“Mine.” The Bushido growled, his blackened tongue freeing itself from his maw to caress along Talon’s neck, slipping beneath the scarf they wore. His eyes began to lose their familiar blue shade, stopping at a warm purple. “All mine.”
His tongue began to run along the scar that Talon bore, his hot breath jutting out against their cheek as he exhaled huskily. “Talon.”
Pressed against the brickwork, the wind was knocked from Talon’s lungs; eliciting a surprised grunt to manage from his mouth. The other’s hands provoked wild chills to surge violently within Talon’s chest cavity. All of which were exacerbated by the innate discomfort he felt when coming into physical contact with another person. And when that single word cascaded from the Yokai’s mouth, Talon’s eyes flickered open.
Mine.
Offering a quivering breath in lieu of a response, Talon knotted his fingers against the fringes of Yasuo’s armor. Leaning his head slightly to give Yasuo better access to his neck, Talon could feel flickers of anxiety fizzling to action within his bones; that such a gesture was only further rendering him vulnerable.
He knew all-too-well the damage that could be done with the slightest malevolent intent with access to one’s throat.
He did it all the time.
But this? With Yasuo?
This was different.
Though the anxiety was the same, this exhilaration was something completely new.
Talon’s eyes wrenched shut as he pressed the back of his skull against the building. Yasuo had grown noticeably rougher, but Talon wasn’t about to request him to stop. After all, this was what he wanted, wasn’t it? What he’d been thinking about for a while now — even though such contemplations had previously been completely foreign to the assassin.
The predatorial growl of the other’s voice only provoked his anxiety further; the change in the other’s eyes caused Talon to furrow his brow. But with his mind consumed by alcohol and euphoria, he couldn’t bring himself to deduce what exactly such a change meant.
Twisting a quivering exhalation into a response, Talon managed, “..Yasuo.. what are you..?” Anxiety slightly compromising the assassin’s tone.

It felt real.
Talon’s eyes snapped open; pupils dilating in an attempt to allow the darkened room to manifest into coherent form. Walls towered above him; garbed in delicately designed wallpapers of the Du Couteau Manor. He blinked; attempting to dispel the residual sleepiness that clung to his peripherals. Knotting his fingers into the fabric of his sheets, he carefully pulled them from himself; taking care to be as silent as possible.
His eyes drifted to the closed door; shut and locked, just as he’d left it. Silent footsteps led him to the entryway; extending calloused fingers to pinch the lock, twist it sideways before coiling along the handle.
Below the door, small whispers of crimson lapped at his feet; glowing a soft red, the most peculiar of fog managing through the cracks in the door. Gaze drifting upward, small twists of red contorted through the lock; offering the slightest illumination before disappearing into the darkness.
Talon tightened his jaw; completely perplexed as to what could possibly be causing the peculiar anomaly. Slowly turning his hand, the door clicked open.
And vivid crimson smoke flooded into his room; curling around him, twisting past him to sweep into the darkness.
Filling it with luminous red.
Talon’s eyes shot forward; scanning the hallway. Waist-deep in fog, Talon slowly navigated down the hallway; tracing fingertips along the wallpaper as he paced forward. Slowly, slowly as the cloak of red denied him vision of what may be lurking beneath.
“Talon.”
Directly behind him, Talon’s name emerged from an unseen mouth. The single word was cloaked in an unnerving husk; the hairs along the assassin’s neck prickling to attention. Talon’s eyes flickered sideways; furrowing his brow before turning to greet the unknown entity.
Eyes fixating upon the other’s Hannya, Talon stared unflinchingly into the crimson hollows of Blood Moon Thresh. Keeping his expression as stoic as possible, Talon opened his mouth to speak. Words calm and collected, he inquired: “To what do I owe this unexpected pleasure.”
Strangely coherent; practiced words learned from Kat.
“My, my.. Little Du Couteau Boy..”
“That’s not my name.”
“Oh, I’m sure..” Thresh’s shoulders rose and fell as a haunting laugh twisted from his mouth. Crimson talons curling along the Warden’s scythe, a shrill grinding sound permeated the silence. “..you’ve been meddling in matters that don’t pertain to you, Little Du Couteau Boy..” He hissed, bringing his face closer to Talon’s.
Talon didn’t move. Remaining resolute, he narrowed his amber gaze; maintaining eye contact without showing the slightest flicker of concern.
“I dunno what you’re talking about.”
“Liar.” Thresh cackled, sweeping backward; crimson mist twisting around him with every implemented motion. His voice, insidious — the auditory manifestation of venom itself, twisted from his Hannya as the words spilled forward. “You take life without a second thought, isn’t that right..?”
“It’s my job.”
“Forgive me, for I am only doing mine.” Thresh lifted his scythe; a crimson razor. With a twist of his wrist it slowly brought the weapon to motion; rendering the blade into a scarlet blur. Releasing it forward, it hooked violently along Talon’s back; pulling him forward, despite the assassin’s efforts to dig his heels into the ground.
The blade sank through his fabric effortlessly; cutting through the skin and grazing his spine as Thresh wrenched him forward.
A mangled, agonized sound managed from Talon’s teeth.
“Time’s up, Little.. Du Couteau.. Boy..” Thresh sneered having brought Talon incredibly close. “Was your time on this world spent wisely..?” He cackled bringing his hand to tilt Talon’s chin upward. “..hmm.. I thought not.” Bringing his hand back, Thresh contorted his fingers, commanding Talon’s soul to pry from his flesh.
And Talon screamed.
Slowly, a vibrant crimson soul emerged from the assassin’s chest cavity; pulsating in a manner akin to a beating heart, it slowly twisted free from Talon’s body. Darkness swallowed him and his body felt further and further away..
He needed more time..
Desperate thoughts flooded the remaining coherency that thrived within his mind.
There were things he still needed to do..
He always thought that he’d have more time..
And yet..
Shhh… shhh… Time’s up.. Little Du Couteau Boy..

Yasuo’s silhouette was unmistakable; the familiar form standing far amidst the blackened forestry. Jagged trees twisted upward into the crimson sky; crooked arms clawing up into a haunting, splintered canopy. Beneath the assassin’s footsteps crunched dead grass and leaves - all of which was hidden below a thick cloak of fog.
Talon approached Yasuo without hesitation; that although the scenery was peculiar, the Yokai’s presence was more-than-welcome. Talon could feel a soft smile threaten to compromise his stoic expression; casting Yasuo a gentle gaze as he ignored everything save for the shadowed form of the friend that stood before him.
Though as he drew closer, Yasuo failed to come into focus; the other’s body maintaining the same darkness that had cloaked him from the very beginning. Talon furrowed his brow; narrowing his eyes in an attempt to force Yasuo’s features to emerge from the darkness. Tentatively extending his hand, Talon reached forward to trace fingertips where the other’s Hannya should have been.
As his fingers grazed the abysmal surface; thick whispers of smoke coiled along his fingertips. Like threads of iron, they wrapped violently along his fingers for the briefest of moments - interrupted only by Talon pulling his hand away in horror.
But before he could relinquish his hand completely, Yasuo’s own hand snapped forward; curling sharpened fingers along Talon’s wrist. A flicker of terror thrummed within the assassin’s chest cavity; eyes widening at the sudden, violent movement of the Yokai.
And then the other hand - Yasuo snapped it forward to viciously grasp at Talon’s throat. Though the Yokai moved with knotted, broken motions, creaking like an aged marionette, every movement was horrifically quick, precise, and nothing more than a jagged blur. And, to Talon’s dismay, such quickness was beyond his own reflexive ability to defend himself.
Talon opened his mouth to speak, but Yasuo was denying the passage of oxygen into his lungs.
Gasping for breath, the assassin managed a single, broken statement.
“S-stop, Yasuo, i-it’s me.”
Yasuo lowered his face closer to Talons; tilting it slightly with a haunting creaking sound. A low growl emanated from the Yokai’s chest; permeating the silence and resonating deep into Talon’s bones.
Glowing red eyes had replaced the azure ones Talon had come to know.
Ignoring Talon’s choked coughs, Yasuo replied in a low, chilling voice.
“..Who?” Yasuo tightened his grip along Talon’s throat; a horrific high pitched sound grew louder and louder. Another vicious growl and Yasuo charged him forward; crashing the assassin against the adjacent tree. Whatever air remained within Talon’s lungs were knocked clear from them.
Speech was denied to him, so Yasuo vocalized in Talon’s place.
“Ya..su..o..” The Yokai repeated the name as if it were of a different language; tentatively testing each syllable as if searching for any semblance of familiarity. Relinquishing his grasp upon the assassin’s wrist, Yasuo pressed clawed fingertips against Talon’s chest; threatening to pry through the armor and into his flesh.
Talon tightened his jaw, feeling his peripherals going black. Struggling for breath, a distinct sensation of betrayal grew within Talon’s core. A pained expression crossed his face as Yasuo offered one more dictation.
Cloaked in a vicious husk, he spoke, “Who.. are.. you..?” And with a snarl, Yasuo cut through the assassin’s armor plate; sharpened claws managing deep into Talon’s chest.
And it all went black.

There was nothing; unrelenting darkness was omnipresent. Talon’s limbs felt heavy; that moving them was an incredible ordeal and he wasn’t certain exerting the energy was even worth it at this point. And when he opened his mouth to inhale; abysmal water flooded his maw.
Consumed by a horrific choking sensation, Talon sputtered, head turning upward; instinctively looking for the surface. As he tilted his head, his eyes were greeted only by an unwavering sea of black.
And two glowing eyes.
Gaze flickering down to his own feet, Talon saw the faintest of lights; shimmering, tantalizing the last ghost of the surface before he felt the chains constrict tighter along his neck.
Looking back - in horror - Talon met the gaze of those two glowing eyes.
A haunting voice permeated the darkness; consuming his senses and thundering through the darkened water.

Shugo Daimyo
Talon curled his fingers along the fringes of the ornate box. Discussions with the locals had made actually finding this location exceedingly easy. Gifts weren’t expected, but after hearing what Thresh had done to Yasuo, Talon wasn’t too keen on the idea of showing up empty handed. So, neatly organized within the thin, decorated box were assorted mooncakes that he had heard would at least be accepted.
The Yokai that answered the door ushered him inside; directing him to where he could find the Shugo-Daimyo. Nodding curtly and forcing a thankful smile, Talon followed her through the hallways. Once at the appropriate door, the woman took her leave and Talon crossed the threshold.
The sheer grandness that was the other’s manifestation had astounded the assassin. The locals’ descriptions hadn’t done him justice; Talon tightening his jaw and approaching Thresh slowly.
“Shugo-Daimyo of Ionia,” Talon extended his hands forward, offering the colored box to Thresh, “..could I bother you for a moment of your time?”
