Hello. I'm a queer, agender fic writer and I'm currently dealing with a painfully infected tooth that needs an emergency root canal. I'm not asking for the full amount and I know I'm not around much in my fannish spaces recently, but this is something I can't put off and my partner and I were not prepared for a blow as hard as this after losing our medicaid. Anything helps and my goal is to help manage the initial shock so we can juggle credit card payments without drowning after.

The initial receipt above was for the evaluation and referral. I have just scheduled my root canal for tomorrow which I was told it would be $1,670. The crown will be about $500 after.

Please share if you can. And please, take care of your teeth to avoid this in the future esp if you are American. The cost of these things don't fuck around. Thank you for all your consideration and help.

I've had the root canal. The infection was quite bad and I had a hefty round of antibiotics directly into the tooth to knock it out. One of my roots was in terrible shape and TIL sudden heat sensitivity is a sign the nerve/root is dying. I'm sore and tired, but home safe. I still do need some help managing the credit card charge, but what has been given has already helped so much. Thank you everyone and if you could please keep passing this around it would be appreciated more than you know.
