I feel like the fandom came to the "agreement" that the human theory sucked through years and years of memes and cursing everyone that didnt think it was horrible. So now they watch the ending and theyre human so that means they have to hate it no matter what. So they contort the ending so that its not them because its just the actors (like nina and maggie/the nuns from st beryl) and even if theyre intended to be them their memories are gone and theyre nothing without their memories and it was suicide what they did actually and crowley killed everyone and...

And its kinda weird because you do not have to justify that you didnt like it. Its an opinion and its subjective. Just like loving season 2 or thinking it was just meandering and mediocre compared to season 1. Its a personal thing. But when it turns into insulting other people or the crew, or saying that what Pratchett wrote should be discarded...

Smarter people have said it already and way better than I ever could but I do think its fascinating and incredibly sad that the apparent inescapable ending of fandoms in general is to be toxic and awful
