THWACK. the sound echoes in the kitchen

doesn't even flinch, he just slowly turns his head with a devastating smirk

"good morning to you too, kitten. i see you've already found the breakfast menu. enjoying it?"

"im just stating facts," you reply with a grin, reaching for your coffee mug. "it's a lot to take in this early."

leans back, crossing his arms to flex

"if you wanted a piece, all you had to do was ask. no need to get violent. but since you started it.."

he spends the rest of the morning making 'accidental' contact every time he passes you

miya atsumu

he's humming while flipping some burnt eggs, his shorts definitely a size too small for those legs

as you walk up to him you can see the fabric straining with every move he makes

you don't even hesitate, "wow, tsumu, that's a-" WHACK, "fat ass you've got."

lets out a high pitched shriek, "GYAH! have mercy!"

he jumps, spinning around with a spatula in hand

"yer a menace! a total hooligan! you can't just go around.. assaultin' a national treasure like this!"

"a national treasure that's taking up the whole kitchen," you tease

wiggles his eyebrows, doing a little shimmy, "was it good, though? did it have that nice bounce? hey, look, i'm bendin' over to get the milk - wanna check it out again?"

"no, tsumu!"

miya osamu

is practically a fricking MOUNTAIN in his lounge shorts goddamn, completely focused on the rice cooker

you walk up and give him a solid smack

"fatass. get it, because you like to cook and you've got a fat ass? im so funny. go on samu laugh."

takes a HUGE ASS bite of salmon, swallows, and looks at you with raised eyebrows very clearly judging you but slightly.. impressed at the same time

"are you done? or do ya need to get the other side too so i'm even?"

you giggle and poke his back, stealing a bite

"maybe later," you grin, leaning against his side, "it's a lot of ground to cover, you know? too much for little ol' me."

snags your waist, pulling you in so it looks like hes gonna kiss you.. but the little twerp doesnt

"if you're gonna call me fat, the least you can do is eat these leftovers. ill eat you instead."

suna rintarou

is slouched over the counter, scrolling on his phone with one hand while the other lazily stirs a pot (drop it i dare u)

his dark pants are sitting dangerously low on his hips

you take a mental picture before closing the distance, palm itching for the inevitable

"rin.. that is one fat ass."

SMACK - the sound rings through the quiet apartment

doesn't jump, he just exhales a long suffering tired sigh and turns to face you

actually secretly recorded the whole thing and shows you with a sly smirk

"funny. i was just thinking the same about you - but since you're being handsy, i guess i'll just have to keep this footage for blackmail later. or for.. research."

you glare at him, hands on your hips, "rin, don't you dare. i have worse of you."

iwaizumi hajime

his back muscles ripple against his shirt, but it's the way his athletic shorts catch on his thighs that really draws your attention

you move in, waiting for the exact moment, then - "dang, haji. fat ass."

less of a smack and more of a solid impact against pure muscle

he grunts, his grip tightening on the shelf for a second before he slowly lowers his arms and turns around, face a shade of red

"are you kidding me? im literally holding glass."

"i just couldn't help it," you laugh

has a small smirk as he steps toward you, effectively trapping you against the counter

"well, if you're gonna go around hitting people, you better be prepared. my turn."

doesn't actually hit back, but he keeps a heavy hand resting on your waist for the rest of breakfast so you 'cant cause any more trouble'.

oikawa tooru

he's literally posing while pouring orange juice, looking like a prince

you walk up, hand raised, but then you just.. stop. you look, squint, and sigh

"oh tooru.. there's literally nothing to hit. im sorry."

the silence that lingers is sharper than a knife

he drops the carton and turns around slowly, his bottom lip trembling dramatically

"excuse me? y/n? my own wife? you're going to look at this masterpiece and tell me im lacking?"

"im just saying," you shrug

"I AM A PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE!" he shouts, frantically trying to see his butt in the toaster's reflection

"I HAVE THE GLUTES OF A GOD BUILT FOR SPEED! IS THIS ENOUGH FOR YOU?! AM I SLAPPABLE YET?!"

starts doing squats in the middle of the kitchen

kozume kenma

is completely hunched over his psp, his sweatpants sagging just enough to be distracting

you watch from the doorway as he shifts his weight, his eyes glued to the screen while he locks in on a level

you sneak up and deliver a quick, playful strike - "sheesh, kenma. fat ass."

he lets out a tiny, startled "oof!", nearly dropping his console

"hey.. that actually hurt a little. i was in the middle of a boss fight."

"you were wide open," you shrug, leaning over his shoulder to see the game. "i couldn't resist."

he sighs, but a small, mischievous smile tugs at the corner of his mouth

"if you're that bored, you can sit here. but if you touch me again, i'm changing the password on the wifi." you gasp

spends the rest of the day leaning against you while he plays, using your lap as a footstool so you can't reach the 'target' anymore

hinata shoyo

is practically vibrating with energy while waiting for the toaster to pop, wearing bright athletic shorts that highlight every bit

you watch him do a little hop step in place, his quad muscles twitching with every movement :o

you don't even let him still before you move in. "dang! shoyo! fat ass!" smack

he yelps, jumping high into the air and spinning around

"WHOA! y/n! what was that for?! you caught me totally off guard!"

"it's for having way too much energy back there," you laugh, grabbing a piece of toast. "it's a hazard."

his face turns a bright, sunny shade of red, but he immediately puffs out his chest with a huge, proud grin

"is it really that noticeable?! i've been doing extra jumping drills!"

next ten minutes, he follows you around the kitchen, excitedly swinging his hips and asking if you wanna see again

kageyama tobio

bro is standing perfectly still while pouring a glass of milk

those black training leggings are practically glued to his skin, showing off every bit of the muscle he's built

you creep up quietly, waiting for him to finish pouring his milk because you're not a menace, then - "HIYAAA! fatass tobio!" SLAP

he nearly fumbles the carton, his entire neck and face turning a shade of puce red

"BOKE! what are you-?! don't just.. attack people from behind!"

"it's a compliment, kags," you grin

lets out a frustrated huff, trying to look cool while his ears are practically glowing

"i.. just.. don't do it while i'm mid drink. i'll choke."

for the rest of breakfast he steals glances at you, and when you finally get up to leave, he delivers a quick, clumsy pat to your hip and looks away immediately, muttering "one point for me."

tsukishima kei

reaching for a mug on the high shelf, his lanky frame draped in loose pants

you can see the slight shift of muscle as he stretches, looking completely unbothered for someone just making tea

you decide to humble him, stepping up and delivering the punch, "for someone built like a stick, you've got a fat ass."

he just pauses, lets out a slow sigh, and looks at you over the rim of his glasses with a look of pure judgment

"is this how you spend your mornings? assaulting people?"

"only you you salty dinosaur," you beam

he lets out a dry, taunting chuckle, a smirk dancing on his lips as he looks down at you

"please. you're going to have to try much harder than that to get a reaction out of me."

for the rest of the morning he intentionally reaches for things on the highest shelves possible, looking back with a mocking grin every time he hears your quick footsteps

yamaguchi tadashi

is humming a little tune while waiting for the kettle to whistle, wearing soft cotton pants

you track the movement as he shifts his weight from one foot to the other, looking entirely too cute

you pounce, "yams, you've lowkey got a fat ass-" THWACK

he lets out a high pitched squeak, his shoulders hitting his ears as jumps a little, "y/n! please! my heart can't take surprises like that!"

"sorry, yams, it was just calling out to me," you giggle, leaning against the counter

his face is crimson, but he ducks his head and gives you a shy, fluttery smile

"awh, that's nice of you to say. you know, you call out to me too."

now its your turn to turn crimson

spends the rest of the morning hovering close to you, occasionally bumping his shoulder into yours just to make sure you're still paying attention

akaashi keiji

he's chopping fruit for breakfast, looking effortless in a pair of dark, well fitted pants (my guy looks hot in anything)

there's a certain grace to him, to the way the fabric pulls when he leans over the counter

you sneak over like a ninja and snicker, "hey, keiji. fat-" swack "-ass you've got hidng there. peekaboo! found ya!"

doesn't drop the knife, but his hand pauses mid air for exactly three seconds before he continues slicing

"that was quite unnecessary, don't you think?" he asks, his voice calm but his ears blooming pink

"it was a necessity," you shrug, swiping a slice of melon

he turns, pinning you with a look that is far too intense for early morning, a suspicious smirk tugging at his lips

"if you have that much excess energy, i can think of several things you could help me with." he leans in close, arched eybrows

keeps a firm hand on the small of your back while he finishes the meal

bokuto koutarou

for some reason hes dancing in the kitchen, WHILE MAKING PANCAKES (oh no be careful. get the y/n from messy over here) wearing tiny spandex shorts that leave absolutely NOTHING to the imagination

target acquired and locked! you stroll over and deliver an echoing slap. "DAMN, BO! FAT ASS!"

he lets out a booming "HEY HEY HEY!" and nearly sends the pancake onto the ceiling. "DID YOU SEE THAT?! Y/N, DID YOU FEEL THE POWER?! SLAP MY BUM MORE OFTEN!"

"i felt something for sure," you burst out laughing

strikes a provocative bodybuilder pose right there in front of the stove, flexing his muscles with a massive, blinding grin.

he spends the next hour following you around the house asking if you wanna check out the bounce

"no thanks. but what you can do is get that cake down from the ceiling."

​despite the teasing, he's actually very attentive. he'll notice if you're clearing your throat too much and will swap your iced coffee for a warm honey tea

he'll spend the rest of the day leaning down to whisper in your ear, "don't worry, kid. puberty hits us all eventually," just to see you get flustered when you can't even yell back at him properly

miya atsumu

isn't serious at all and acts like he’s witnessed a miracle

he'll follow you around the gym, roaring with laughter every time you open your mouth, and tries to get you to do impressions of the other players, convinced that your current raspy tone is the perfect mimic for a grumpy kageyama

he gets a kick out of how frustrated you get. when you try to shush him and it comes out as a dry wheeze, he'll clutch his stomach

"stop, stop! yer killin' me! you sound like a rusty gate!" its killed meh its killed meh hp reference ;)

his reaction is a slow, blinking stare of disbelief

he'll listen to you struggle for a few moments before shaking his head

he's muuuuch more chill than his brother. he'll actually sit and try to decode what you’re saying so you don't have to repeat yourself

watches your lips and gestures with an extremely intense gaze

he brings you a container of rice congee with extra ginger from the shop, "eat this."

if atsumu teases you too hard, osamu will casually 'accidentally' trip him or hit him with a stray volleyball

doesn't say anything at first. he just slowly raises his phone, camera already open, and waits for you to speak

when you start talking, he's already hitting upload to his private story with just him and you

he finds it incredibly endearing but will never admit it. he likes the way you sound tough despite looking like your usual self

he’ll ask you open-ended questions on purpose just to hear the struggle

"so, y/n, tell me again your thoughts on the volleyball rotation?" he asks, eyes glinting with mischief as you glare at him

if you get tired of talking, he'll offer you one of his earbuds and sit in comfortable silence with you, scrolling through voice soothing tiktoks

will post it to the inarizaki vbc groupchat but quickly deletes it before anyone can see because you start hitting him

iwaizumi hajime

his immediate reaction is a stern frown

"why are you even talking? you’re going to damage your vocal cords. be quiet."

​he’ll produce a pack of throat lozenges from his bag, and makes sure you actually take them, watching you until you’ve finished your water.

he gets protective. if anyone else (mostly oikawa) starts making fun of your voice, he'll glare them into silence

"leave her alone. she's sick."​

he’ll offer to carry your bag for you, thinking that the less physical strain you have, the faster your voice will come back

communicates with you through simple yes or no questions to save your breath

is incredibly, impossibly, dramatically dramatic

he gasps, clutches his chest, and looks at you with wide, watery eyes. "y/n-chan! who stole your beautiful voice? ill find it for you!"

will demand that you nod enthusiastically instead of speaking, and tries to make it a game. "okay, whisper in my ear! maybe if it's a whisper, i won't hear the.. froggy parts."

when you whisper and it still sounds like sandpaper, he’ll shiver and whine

during practice when he serves, he points at you and goes, 'this one is for hoarsia, your voice!" LMAO hey hoarsia

secretly, he’s terrified you're in pain. he'll go to three different stores to find the exact brand of tea he thinks is the best for you and leave it in your locker with a cute note

kozume kenma

this guy doesn't even flinch

he just looks up from his screen, observes your face and raspy breathing, and goes back to his game

"text me. don't waste your energy."

​he finds the sound of your voice cracking distracting, so he'll hand you his spare headphones so you can listen to music

is the most likely to look up natural remedies for loss of voice on reddit and send you a link without saying a word

he actually finds it a bit peaceful

likes that you're forced to be quiet and sit still with him for once, even if you are doing your best to piss him off through your phone's text to speech

later, when you're lying face down on his bed, he sighs softly to himself

hinata shoyo

thinks that your hoarse voice is a power up

he'll ask you to try and growl or yell like a you're the main character of a movie, completely oblivious to the fact that it actually hurts your throat to do so

he then proceeds to talk so much you don't even get a chance to speak anyway

he's just genuinely confused ;-;

stares at you for a long time, his face scrunched up in that classic kageyama scowl

"did you swallow something? why is your voice doing that?"​

he doesn't understand the puberty joke the others are making, thinks your throat is literally broken

he'll awkwardly offer you his sports drink, then pull it back because 'it's cold and that might be bad'

settles for just standing near you, looking intimidating so no one else bothers you

if you try to give him advice on his toss and your voice breaks, he'll just nod very seriously

"i understand (he doesnt understand). the squeak means i should put more spin on it, right?"

oh he lives for this he was born for this moment

he leans down, puts his hand to his ear, and has a cruel smirk on his face

"im sorry, what was that? i couldn't hear you over the sound of your voice changing."​

will call you 'young man' or 'sir' for the rest of the day

if you try to glare at him, he'll just chuckle

"oh, how scary. you sound like a disgruntled chihuahua."​

he’ll purposely bring up topics he knows you have strong opinions on, just to bait you into trying to argue

watches with immense satisfaction as you struggle to find your voice, but secretly finds it adorable

despite being a menace, he'll ACCIDENTLY leave a pack of throat drops on your desk

yamaguchi tadashi

is your number one biggest supporter

feels so bad for you that he almost looks like he's the one in pain

"that sounds so sore! please, don't try to talk back to tsukki!"​

he'll spend the day hovering near you, making sure you're drinking enough water and staying hydrated.

doesn't laugh when your voice hits a weird frequency

tries to teach you some basic hand signals so you can communicate without speaking

"thumb up for yes, thumb down for no, and.. uhm.. maybe a peace sign if you need tea?"​

he feels a bit awkward when the other boys make fun of you, so he'll try to change the subject as fast as possible

"hey! look at the weather! it's.. very sunny! right, y/n? ah, no need to answer!"​
