Yearly Reminder the Hammer&Sickle(=Red army) / Russian army symbols don't belong in Pride
reminder that anything USSR/ruZZia aligned is anti-gay by design
As a result of tonight's savage russian attack on Kyiv—one of the worst I have experienced—a dozen cultural, educational, and scientific institutions were damaged.
Pictured here are the Chornobyl Museum, the Institute of Literature, the Stary Lev bookshop, and the National Art Museum of Ukraine. Several schools, bookshops, and the Kyiv School of Economics were also affected.
Not to mention dozens—if not hundreds—of residential buildings, markets, office buildings, and coffee shops.
Yet many people will continue celebrating "great russian culture" as if nothing is happening.
There was a massive ballistic attack on Ukraine this night, especially on Kyiv, but not just there.
The photos that are available to the public are insane, but there are probably more destroyed buildings. My Ukrainian mutuals are reporting the earth literally shaking from attacks, even in the shelters. At least one person in Kyiv is dead, at least 44 injured.
I don't just hate russia and russians. There's no word in any language in the world to describe the sheer amount of disgust, contempt, rage, burning, all-encompassing loathing I feel towards them.
I hope russia burns. I hope they never feel safe anywhere in this world. I hope they reap what they sow.
This is not a special occurrence. They attack my country every single day. All russia brings is pain and suffering. All russia is is a parasitic culture of genocide.
And it needs to be gone. And it will be gone.
"Remember my words: russia will disappear when the Ukrainian sun rises" - Dzhokhar Dudayev.
Because shadow is always doomed to disappear when the sun rises.
Glory to Ukraine. Glory to its heroes.
A big thanks to our defenders and rescue services.
And to my Ukrainian friends: I won't tell you to stay strong, because God knows, we are about as strong as they come. But none of us deserves it. I send you all my love and support, and if you need any help, please reach out to me, I'll do anything I can.
And please know that I truly believe that justice will prevail. Ukraine will prevail.
Все буде Україна.

Russians don't give love to their children, but they steal and re-educate Ukrainian children with such perverse fanaticism
That's horrifying to watch… I almost threw up when I was downloading that video.
My little brother and I were kidnapped by Russia along with 19,000 other children when Putin invaded Ukraine. We need American help to save
The most painful quotes:
-When the Russians took me, I was sent to a technical school where I was subjected to daily false stories about Ukrainians and sometimes even insults. One day, I was called to the principal’s office and when I got there, she had citizenship documents ready for me to sign. I was stunned and disgusted. I had never been more afraid, but I refused to become a Russian citizen.
The principal glowered at me with hatred in her eyes. She berated me for being "stupid." Moments later, I was expelled and sent packing, in a country that I did not know, and that hated who I was.
-After Save Ukraine helped me return home, I needed to get my brother out too. I found him in a new foster family, but he was not the boy I knew. He had been subjected to months of Russian propaganda and manipulation. He was like a puppet, saying things that I knew he did not believe – that Ukraine was run by Nazis, that nobody in Ukraine cared about him and that he had no future unless he became a Russian citizen.
-When I begged him to return home with me, he refused. Hour after hour ticked by as we argued. As I was about to lose hope, he came to his senses and agreed to come home with me. We were lucky. But there are 19,000 kidnapped Ukrainian children still in Russia. The Russian government bombards them with propaganda and abuse to weaken their Ukrainian identity. Many are punished for speaking Ukrainian.
I'm in tears: "... I feel very sad and have no desire to live". Russians' obsession is to break Ukrainians mentally, including children.
Ukraine has handed over to Qatar a list with the names of 561 Ukrainian children who were taken to Russia. This was reported by Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets. ▪️Wait for the return of a group of Ukrainian children home. We are not disclosing details at this time. ▪️ Talking about the return of orphans and children deprived of parental care. Qatar agreed to work on the issue of their return to Ukraine. Preliminarily, there may be more than 3,600 such children. ▪️Qatar agreed to participate in negotiations with Russia on the return of civilians illegally detained by Russia. Lubinets also once again refuted Russian propaganda: there were no direct negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. All negotiations are mediated by Qatar.
Only on 27 April 2023, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe recognized that the forced transfer of Ukrainian children to Russia meets the criteria of genocide.
Happy International Family Day, but in Ukraine this holiday will always be with unbearable pain, grief, loss and destruction for many families. Don't forget about Russian crimes which never ended.
PBS pulled full documentary from Youtube so here's another link and a google drive file:
Regular russian grandma in a cute bonnet talks about who needs to be ki**ed
*****=k**l
russian grandma wants to k*ll everyone...well like all russians she have dark spot instead brain and evil heart
russia is a terrorist state
Regular reminder for everyone: It's not 'Putin's war' it's Russia's war! And it's not Russia's war against Ukraine, it's Russia's war against Europe [in Ukraine], that Ukraine is currently fighting because we are first in line, geographically, politically, sociologically, historically.
(they hate America too, but they know it's too big and powerful to take on, so don't worry/sorry America, it's not about you. Although the effects of a European war will be felt by everybody, you too, so please be/stay supportive! Considering that your soldiers will get involved too, re NATO, if Ukraine would fall and Russia takes this further, it's in your own interest, it's not only about Ukrainians, although that should be reason enough.)
westerns are killing me sometimes by saying there is everything wrong with people that hate ruzzians, that is why I wrote this post.
I just wanna remind you of the Chechen war, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine occupation etc. And this was not a century ago, it is happening now, bruh.
Still, I listen to 1001 proves why "not all ruzzians", "therefore the Poles supposed to hate you, too" (btw why? no hate speech against the progressive people of Poland, but centuries of the Polish rule and linguocide, lol), "ah stop spreading this victim mentality and work it out". Folks, yer cooked if you are trying to force people to forget about what ruzzians have done, are doing now and will be doing it the nearest future.
If a man grape a child, does the child have to forget it? Fuck no. If an unknown motherfucker kills your children, are you going to forget him and let him go out of fucking prison? Fuck no. If your partner abuses you so much that your mental state is already completely destroyed, are you fucking going to forget about it? Of course you won't. Thus, why in hell I have to do that? They ruined my happy life while I was recovering from a severe illness. They almost ruined my house. They killed many innocent people. They broke people's lives. People are so fucking hypocritical when they blame me for not forgetting and forgiving terrorists and ignorant plebeians.
I don't give a shit, man, whether there are good ruzzians or not, I heard enough from them before you fucking learnt continents. An average ruzzian will tell you "oh yes I want peace yaaaa I don't wanna Ukrainians to be dead, but those are fucking nazi, we have to heal them" — and that what you call good ruzzians. Why don't you call trump and epstein nice guys? Ah yeah, I almost forgot that there are plenty of people that still daily weep over motherfucker kirk's death (cause he had a family, he waf fomeomef fathaaaa an fooooon). Nothing differentiates those morons from people that romanticise murderers and psychopaths. Sick people cannot be trusted, cannot be healed, cannot be free after such crimes. Tolerance let nazi live happily for the rest of their lives, tolerance created north korea and tolerance will start real WW3 one day.
To all the people that still believe in those fairytales...You know, I really hate to say it, but I wish ruzzians came to your house with guns and destroyed everything you like. Maybe this will teach you something. It seems to me that education is illegal, but seeing the reality and its simplicity (without "what if", "not all the" when it's not fucking working, not everything is complex and tolerance-worthy) — more illegal, if not the most.
However, despite the fact our people are victims, we are not weak. If I survive, I will fucking kick you out of your comfort zone by reminding you of crimes you loved to defend, especially crimes against my motherland.
якщо коротко, у вестернів стабільно "моя хата з краю, я нічо не знаю".
Today russia attacked Dnipro, Kramatorsk, Zaporozhia and Poltava.
27 killed and 120 injured
All of that in one day
"if this was happening in Europe there'd be more outrage about it" and its something that Russia has been doing to Ukraine for years if not decades if not centuries yet nobody talks about it.
There are probably many reasons that happens, but I have to share my thoughts about one of them.
There exists a thing that's called "Eastern Europeanism" or "anti-Slavic racism" (despite not everyone living in Eastern Europe being Slavic). Basically, people coming from Eastern Europe are treated more poorly than Western Europeans, are given lower wages and "dirtier", more difficult jobs, more likely to be trafficked into sex work and are associated with crime and substance abuse.
When it comes to our portrayal, especially before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Eastern Europeans were mostly grouped together as "basically russia", or at least somehow secondary to russia. The media extends that treatment by depicting all the stereotypes mentioned above + also never being able to simply portray a real Eastern European country for some reason?! It is often some made-up name, where instead of actually doing research into a real country with a real culture we just mash them up until they're unrecognisable.
So in the end you get this region that is looked down upon, stereotyped and denied of its culture, so whatever is happening here is "those weird russian people going at it again", and with Ukraine having been a colony once for so long it is even worse due to russian propaganda.
evil is still here
Some time ago, I received a question about how people in the russian-occupied territories of Ukraine live. My mother called today (she lives in Donetsk). It's a miracle she's still able to call me with a VPN. She shared news of my hometown. She had to close the window to say all this, despite not actually saying anything criminal. Because that's what life is like there. Everyone is scared.
Everything we knew in that town all our lives has pretty much ceased to exist - and, mind you, the town is not on the frontline. Nothing there has been destroyed, it's just been under occupation since 2014. Now our industrial bakery, meat processing plant, and coking plant - they all have stopped production under the glorious russian governance. Our steel mill - the main town employer (it's a monotown, everything is dependent on that mill) - has been put on "hot conservation," which basically means it's kept operational but produces nothing.
She says at all the border checkpoints (and there still is a border between the "DPR" and russia, despite them proclaiming it a part of russia in 2022), they check everyone's phones. Every phone has spyware on it, and every conversation is being listened to. She says sometimes she'll be talking to my father on the phone and then hear other voices commenting on what she has said, or just chatting in the background. I can't tell you if it's true or not, but I believe her.
So there you have it: personal accounts of what life there looks like.
Today I had the language tandem meeting. Love it.
Read a small text in ukrainian outloud. Understood abiut 3 words at first.
In the end I could answer 4 questions, by reading the sentence with the information out loud. I cant speak freely yet, but Im so proud of understandng it to the point I can answer a question and finding the sentence answering the question.
My friend in Ukraine was just sending me one of her city tour videos or actually just wanted to film some duckies in the river.
Not even 2 second sinto tge video: Explosions. Two. Maybe even three.
She is unharmed.
First time she sent a video where I hear explosions happening and heard her reaction.
Its surreal to know people experience this every single day. Multiple times per day.
I hope that where ever these ballistic missiles hit, it didnt hurt someone...
If there is a river... this might be Dnipro. 5 May 2026, multiple cities were targeted and there were mass civilian casualties. Four deaths in Dnipro.
Yes it is Dnipro. I had seen the news on that today.
A bit after (roughly 1 hour) she sent me the video she shared a post showing the smoke, less than 2km away from where she showed me the ducks.

Tomorrow I will have a phonecall with an ukrainian woman, for a language tandem.
As an autistic person new social interactions are hard, but I am determined (and very nervous).
If it works out, its a great way to learn speaking ukrainian in person!
Phonecall will happen in roughly 2 hours.
I am nervous as heck, but also so excited. I really really hope it works out! It would be a dream coming true.
For the first time I feel like I am truly enjoying learning a language, I want this to work out. Even if I just manage to hold basic conversations and not much more one day, its still awesome if I can actually speak it!
