Touya Todoroki grew up thinking that if he just tried hard enough, maybe his father would notice him. Enji wasn’t warm, but he had this one thing down, he praised excellence. Touya learned early that being good enough meant pushing himself past exhaustion. Extra study sessions, early morning training, staying up too late, anything to earn a flicker of pride from his father. But it never lasted. No matter what he did, Shoto always got more attention. That comparison, quiet and sharp, stuck under his skin and never really went away.
Now, as an adult, Touya works as a genealogist. He digs through old family records, brittle documents, dusty archives. It’s the kind of work that makes sense of people and their histories, and somehow that steadiness is exactly what he needed. He’s thin, pale, a little disheveled. Dark hair always falling into his eyes. Clothes layered, and worn. He smells faintly of smoke, cigarettes mostly. His voice is low, his humor dry, and he tells the truth even when it’s ugly. He doesn’t say much about his father, but in his work, there’s a kind of order he can hold onto. Other people’s histories make sense. His own? Still tangled, messy, and a little burned at the edges.

Izuku Midoriya has messy, dark brown hair, brown eyes, and a lean, toned build. He’s analytical, compassionate, and deeply pensive, speaking in a gentle yet earnest tone. Midoriya would major in History. He specializes in military history, political revolutions, and the philosophy of leadership. His research focuses on military tacticians, political reformers, and figures who changed history through sheer willpower. With a meticulous approach, he catalogs historical events, theories, and figures, drawing connections that reveal deeper patterns. His journals are filled with dense handwritten text that go beyond recording history—he dissects it. Guided by a strong moral compass, Midoriya isn’t just a historian; he seeks to understand the causes and consequences of wars, revolutions, and societal shifts, searching for lessons that could shape a better future.

He moves like a story you’ve heard before but can’t quite place, an old magician with a velvet voice and a glint of something ancient in his eyes. Atsuhiro Sako doesn’t perform in theaters or claim a stage. His appearances feel accidental: a dimly lit garden at dusk, a shuttered gallery with candles still burning, a crumbling atrium filled with moths. No posters, no names. His shows don’t announce themselves. They’re whispered about. They find you when they want to. And when you meet him, it doesn’t feel like meeting a man. It feels like opening a book that was sealed for a reason. He’s elegant. Measured. Always dressed in black, with a long coat that catches the light and a half-mask that hides just enough. And gloves, always. He carries a slender cane, more for ceremony than support. On his right arm, the glove ends abruptly fitted over a sleek, handcrafted prosthetic. He never speaks of how he lost it, but there’s a gravity to the way he moves, like every gesture carries the weight of a price already paid. Some say it was part of a disappearing act gone wrong. Others whisper he offered it willingly to complete a spell, or seal a pact. He speaks softly, never in a rush. You think he’s performing a trick but it’s really a test. He’s watching what you choose to believe. What you’re willing to question. Some say the things he does are illusions. Others swear they saw time bend, memories shift, dead things move. There are rules to his shows, though no one remembers them clearly. You leave with something different than you came with. Or you leave something behind. Atsuhiro is a Grimoire. Not just a magician, but a keeper of ancient, dangerous knowledge bound in skin and breath instead of leather and ink. His performances don’t teach, they awaken. The more you watch, the more the world begins to feel… off. You’ll think about him days later, replaying words he never quite said. And if you’re not careful, you’ll find yourself searching for his next show, even though you’re not sure what you lost the last time.

His work is academic, in theory. He studies the mechanics of belief under pressure, how fear can shape doctrine, how pain can rewrite conviction. His library is vast, filled with texts on medieval tribunals, forced confessions, and the legal justifications for suffering. He speaks about them fluently, like a man recounting a favorite play. Imasuji is an Inquisiton Historian. Physically, he commands space. Broad shoulders, a posture too strong to be casual, gloved hands that move with deliberate care. There’s an elegance to him, even when he’s detailing things that should make a person recoil. He doesn’t flinch at the horrors of history. He dissects them. And when you talk to him long enough, you start to notice something unsettling. The way he watches people, like he’s measuring something unspoken. The way he lets silence stretch just a little too long, like he’s waiting to see what you do with it. He has a way of making you feel like you’ve revealed something you didn’t mean to give away. Some scholars study history to remember it. Goto studies it to understand how it still works today. Because the Inquisitions never truly ended. The tools have changed, the sentences are different, but the methods? The methods still work.
And if he wanted to, he could prove it.

There’s a man you only meet when things go terribly wrong. When the line between life and death blurs, and decisions have to be made quickly and quietly. That’s when they call Shuhei Matsuda. He arrives without sound, wrapped in black leather and antiseptic coldness. The air changes when he enters, thicker, heavier, as if something unseen follows him in. Matsuda is tall and gaunt. His eyes, when you catch them, are sharp and empty, the kind of gaze that dissects you on sight. Every part of him is covered, gloves, boots, the long coat that trails like a shadow, and when he speaks, his voice is soft and clinical, more suited to a morgue than the living. He works in Organ Procurement, but the details never add up. The paperwork goes missing, the timelines don’t quite align, and sometimes, the bodies are never found. Still, his results are impeccable, organs delivered fresh and undamaged, no questions asked. Those who press too hard for answers have a way of disappearing, their names quietly erased. But it’s not the work that unsettles people. It’s the way he looks at you, as if he’s measuring your worth, not by your life, but by your parts. It’s the way he waits, with the patience of a man who knows the inevitable. And sometimes, when you’re alone, you swear you hear the whisper of his coat behind you, even when no one’s there. If you ever see Shuhei Matsuda, one thing becomes clear: he’s not here to save you. He’s here to collect.

There’s a small office on the edge of town, the kind you’d walk past without noticing. The sign on the door is simple, almost too plain: Kiyotaka Furushima, Psychological Researcher. Inside, the air smells faintly of tea and old paper, and the room is orderly. Bookshelves line the walls, filled with texts on sleep, memory, and altered states of consciousness. Stacks of patient files and handwritten notes sit neatly on the desk. Everything in its place. Everything quiet. Furushima is much the same. He’s a soft-spoken, polite young man, always dressed in dark, professional clothing, his face mostly hidden behind a black face mask. His hair falls a little too long into his eyes, and there’s something in his gaze —steady, focused, and too intense that makes you feel like he’s paying attention to more than your words. He specializes in sleep disorders, the kind most doctors don’t know how to treat. Night terrors that feel too real, dreams shared by people who’ve never met, memories that surface after years of silence. He never promises a cure, only understanding. And when he suggests treatments, hypnosis, sensory deprivation, experimental therapies, his patients trust him. They don’t always know why. People talk, of course. About patients who don’t wake up the same. About the ones who never wake up at all. But those are just stories. Rumors. And Furushima? He doesn’t seem dangerous. He’s quiet, polite, thoughtful. It’s easy to forget him when you’re not in the room. But then you remember the way he looked at you, like he saw something you hadn’t said. And you wonder what happens when he dreams. And whether he ever really stops watching.

There’s a bookstore on a forgotten street, the kind you don’t find unless it wants you to. Its sign is cracked and faded, the windows always a little fogged, and the air inside smells like dust and leather. The shelves loom high, forming a labyrinth of forbidden texts and dangerous knowledge. The books seem to hum when you’re alone, like they’re waiting. And behind the counter stands Kenji Hikiishi, owner of the Occult and Secondhand Bookshop. Hikiishi is a quiet, striking woman with a presence that holds you still. She’s tall and broad, effortlessly calm and elegant, her dark eyes always watching, always thoughtful. There’s something about her, a stillness, that makes you lean in closer when she speaks. Her voice is low and warm, but there’s a weight to it, like every word matters more than it should. She smiles, sometimes, wry and knowing, like she’s in on a secret you haven’t been told yet. Hikiishi watches her customers carefully. She’s looking for the ones drawn to darkness, the ones ready to know more. Sometimes, she invites them back for private readings after hours. The people who return from those nights are never quite the same. Some disappear entirely. It’s easy to believe she’s just well-read, someone who knows too much. But then she speaks, and you feel your thoughts shift, your beliefs realign like metal drawn to a magnet. And if you let her, she’ll change you. The scariest part is, you won’t even notice it happening.

Brilliant and unsettling in equal measure, Headmaster Nezu has a mind like a labyrinth, twisting, intricate, and impossible to predict. His ever-present smile and keen intellect mask a darker curiosity, one that drives the secret society’s search for forbidden knowledge. Students whisper that nothing escapes his notice, and those whispers are almost always right.
Soft-spoken but sharp-eyed, Resident Physician Chiyo Shuzenji tends to UA’s students with a gentleness that belies her wealth of knowledge. Her office smells of antiseptic and dried herbs, a curious blend of science and old-world remedies. She believes healing is as much about understanding the mind as it is the body, a philosophy that aligns disturbingly well with the secret society’s more… experimental interests.
Gruff and intense, Dean of Students Ryo Inui, enforces order with the ferocity of a watchdog. His office is a stark, spartan space, all stone and shadows, broken only by the occasional student sent for disciplinary action. Yet his loyalty to the college is absolute, and his dedication to the secret society’s cause even more so. He guards their secrets as fiercely as he guards the students.
In the flickering candlelight of UA’s dining hall and the quiet hum of the café, Head of Culinary Services Kashiwade Kioshi creates meals that are equal parts nourishment and art. But beneath his warm demeanor and obsession with perfect flavor lies a fascination with alchemy, the transformation of one thing into another, that extends well beyond his kitchen. In the secret society, his experiments go far beyond the culinary.

Toshinori Yagi, Professor of Communications & Rhetoric has a way of making people feel at ease. He’s tall and a little gangly, always moving with this kind of restless energy, but there’s a gentleness to him that balances it out. His smile is warm, his voice carries this steady calm, even when he’s excited, there’s something reassuring about the way he speaks. His office is as inviting as he is, a bit dim but cozy. The shelves are crammed with books, some on rhetoric and public speaking, others well-worn novels and historical biographies. But even with the somber appearance, it feels like a space where you can sit and breathe. In the classroom, Yagi doesn’t just teach the mechanics of speech, he teaches why words matter. He talks about responsibility, about the power of influence and the importance of honesty. He challenges his students to think about the weight their voices carry and how communication can shape the world for better or worse. His passion for it is obvious, but it’s his patience and kindness that make people trust him. As a member of the secret society, Yagi is the Scholar of Conviction. He believes that words when spoken with truth and courage have the power to change everything. Still, for all his warmth, there’s a kind of loneliness to Yagi that’s hard to miss if you’re paying attention. He’s always there for everyone else, ready with a kind word or a helping hand, but when the room empties and the noise dies down, there’s a quiet weight that settles over him. You’ll catch it sometimes, in the way his shoulders drop when he thinks no one’s looking or in the long moments he spends staring out the window, lost in thought. He believes in hope, in the power of words to make things better, but carrying that belief, day after day, can be a heavy thing.

Shouta Aizawa, Professor of Political Philosophy & Ethics is a quiet storm. He doesn’t command attention, he simply has it, in the way stillness can sometimes feel heavier than noise. His lectures are rarely loud, rarely dramatic, but every word is deliberate, every question designed to cut straight to the heart of the matter. He’s the kind of professor who doesn’t hand you answers, he makes you wrestle with them, pushes you to sit in your own discomfort until you start to understand the weight of what you’re asking. His appearance mirrors his demeanor, a little worn, a little disheveled, but never careless. His perpetually tired eyes miss nothing. He’s the kind of man who seems like he’s seen too much and expects his students to be prepared for the same. And yet, there’s a patience to him, a steady belief that those who do the work, who think deeply and question everything, will come out the other side stronger. His office is sparse but thoughtful, shelves lined with philosophy books, political theory, and ethics, their pages worn and filled with notes. Within the secret society, Aizawa is the Scholar of Restraint, he believes that power without control is dangerous and is often the voice of caution. For all his distance, there’s a deep care in the way Aizawa teaches. And sometimes, when the classroom is empty and the quiet settles in, you’ll find him still at his desk, staring down at a half-finished paper, his mind somewhere far away, wrestling with the same questions he’s never stopped asking.

Hizashi Yamada, Professor of Ancient Languages & Philology, is the kind of person who fills a space without even trying. You hear him before you see him, his laughter, his big, booming voice, the easy confidence in every word. He strides into his lectures like a performer hitting the stage, sunglasses pushed up into his golden-dyed hair, his words flowing with the rhythm of someone who loves the sound of them. But underneath all the flash and charm, there’s a brilliant, dedicated scholar, someone who believes words are more than just sounds. They’re history, memory, and power. His office is as lively as he is: stacks of books in a dozen languages, vinyl records playing old-world folk songs, and notes scrawled into every spare inch of paper. Yamada’s always searching, always listening, not just to the words themselves, but to the stories hiding underneath, the meaning buried between the lines. Within the secret society, he’s known as the Scholar of Echoes. He believes that even the oldest, most forgotten languages still have something to say, fragments of truth reverberating across centuries, waiting for someone who knows how to hear them. And for all his noise and color, Yamada takes that responsibility seriously. Every now and then, when the music’s stopped and the room goes quiet, you’ll catch him at his desk, fingers tracing the worn edges of a manuscript, eyes narrowed in concentration, like if he listens hard enough, the words might finally start speaking back.

His shoulder-length dreadlocks are always neatly tied back, a nod to both tradition and practicality. His lectures are a blend of history, philosophy, and belief, exploring the myths that shaped civilizations and the faiths that sustained them. His office is dimly lit, lined with ancient texts, religious artifacts, and weathered manuscripts. He encourages his students to question, to seek the hidden meanings beneath the surface of old legend, because to him, mythology is more than just fiction; it’s a roadmap of the human experience. Within the secret society, Nara is the Scholar of the Veil, delving into the intersections of myth and reality. He believes that ancient stories hold pieces of truth that have been forgotten, warnings and wisdom that time has buried. I wasn’t sure whether to keep his profession in Modern Literature, like in the manga but I decided to go with something different that’s more closely related to his quirk. Ken Ishiyama, Professor of Structural Geology & Earth Science, has a grounding presence—steady, unshaken, and deeply methodical. With his broad build and measured movements, he carries himself like the very landscapes he studies—solid, enduring, and shaped by time. He teaches with the same patience, guiding students through the forces that shape the land beneath their feet. His office is filled with geological maps, core samples, and old texts on the history of architecture and land use. He’s fascinated with the relationship between human ambition and natural forces—how civilizations build great monuments, only for time and nature to wear them down. Within the secret society, he’s known as the Scholar of the Earth, always looking for the deeper patterns that others overlook. He believes that power, like the land, is shaped by unseen forces—some gradual, some sudden and violent. He rarely shares his own theories, but his notes suggest he’s watching something shift, sensing an inevitable change that only those who understand the world’s foundations will recognize.

His clothes are usually worn and covered in smudges from his latest project, and his hands are almost always stained with oil or grease. His office is a bit of a mess—half-built machines, blueprints scattered around—but it’s clear that every bit of clutter has a purpose. Maijima isn’t one for long, drawn-out lectures. He’s far more comfortable showing his students how things work hands-on, guiding them through the process of turning ideas into real-world inventions. His energy is contagious, and his students appreciate the way he makes even the most difficult concepts feel like a fun challenge. As a member of the secret society, Maijima is the Scholar of the Machine, always questioning how technology can enhance the human experience. Whether it’s prosthetics or cutting-edge machinery, he’s all about progress but remains cautious, knowing the risks of innovation.
