Freya often lived off in her own little world, only being brought back down to Earth by the simplest of things: the kindness of a stranger, the handsome face of said stranger, and the conversation that followed. And, now, she had both of her feet on the ground⌠or so it seemed. She had a clarity to her now, instead of the usual fogginess that tinged her dreams and reality. Although, she was never going to stop giving too much of herself to others that probably didnât deserve her, Freya had taken notice of a new boy in town (which she probably wouldnât have noticed him under normal circumstances, but she could tell that he was very different than the other people in her little town she had come to call home ). She was twirling one of her braids and was lost in thought as her worn-out converses helped her down the sidewalk. Freya, in all honesty, didnât mind walking places â she had a plan, after all, and was saving up for some type of vehicle. But, when she heard someoneâs voice and the sound of a car next to her, she tried her hardest not to be startled. That feeling was soon replaced with a sense of ease though when she deciphered who had pulled up next to her. âHey, you,â Freya greeted the brown-haired male and waved a little in his direction. ââOh, I donât need a ride, butâŚâ She looked at the cars behind him that were growing agitated. She sighed and glanced back at Oliver with a smile. âOn second thought, I guess Iâll take that ride from you, thank you so much,â She wasnât sure if she got into Oliverâs car through his passenger side door because she felt half-responsible for the line of angry drivers, or if she genuinely wanted to spend time with him⌠It was probably a bit of both. âIâm going to the library, do you know where that is?â Freya questioned once she was seated next to him inside of his car and she tossed a warm and friendly smile over his way. âIf not, I can give you the directions,â She assured him. âThank you again.â
A smile grew on Oliverâs face as the blonde accepted the ride, leaning across the car to help open the passenger side door for her, and waiting until she was buckled in to pull away from the curve. Oliver had a feeling that she accepted only because of the townâs people who were visibly upset with him, but he didnât care about what they thought, and if it gave him time to spend with the girl he was going to take it. âI actually do know where that is. Believe it or not one of my first nights here I was at the library.â Oliver looked at her with a small smile, he did know where the library was, but the only reason he knew is because he got drunk in the parking lot at night there; but he wasnât going to let her in on that little detail. âItâs no problem, I was on my way home anyway so this saves me from going to that crap apartment. So thank you.â He said to her before reaching for the radio, turning on some quiet music to fill in the background. âGoing to study? Or do people still actually rent books from the library?â
