I have cared for children who were the victims of accidental AND intentional gun shot wounds. You get a much different perspective on 2A when you wrap a child for the morgue after an encounter with a gun. Trust me, there are too many people who are too stupid and irresponsible to safely own any weapon.

I swore to defend the Constitution, but I honor the full wording of 2A, the “well regulated” part. Amendments can be added and repealed. The addition of common sense gun legislation isn’t an infringement on anybody’s rights.

Young people hate Facebook because it forces them to have a single identity

Social media has always had a real-names problem. Social media companies want their users to use their real names because it makes it easier to advertise to them. Users want to be able to show different facets of their identities to different people, because only a sociopath interacts with their boss, their kids, and their spouse in the same way.

Mark Zuckerberg (whose commitment to his own privacy is unchecked in its brutality) has frequently dressed up his business-need for Facebook users to have a single identity in halfassed moral philosophy, calling people who show different parts of themselves to different people “two-faced.”

But kids hate this stuff. Amy Lancaster from the Journalism and Digital Communications school at the University of Central Lancashire studies the way that young people resent “the way Facebook ties them into a fixed self…[linking] different areas of a person’s life, carrying over from school to university to work.”

What does the above quote mean?

Here is how I view it: Zuck is programming you to accept Facebook’s algorithm system. He is stating that it is acceptable in society when more people know about something you or a friend did than what happened half a world away.

For example, you may have finished a task at home or work. Maybe you posted a new selfie. People will pay much more attention to this than if you post a story about ongoing genocide in another country.

It’s social conditioning/engineering. Zuck’s an evil man with a more sinister plan. I’m not on Facebook, but when you favorite or “love” someone’s post (like Twitter, Google/YouTube, Instagram, etc.) then that person tends to get a bit of an adrenaline rush from it. It becomes an addiction for so many people. This is by design, and it’s not healthy. Neither is constant domestic surveillance.

Any company, i.e. Facebook, Google, that works directly with the U.S. government to monitor and record everything that you do on social media, helps shape your opinions on issues to take away your critical thought process while encouraging narcissism is not working in your best interests!
