How? đ đ±
You know how your cat always seems to stare off into space? Turns all theyâve been looking at Pokemon all this time. Only now has Niantic given us the technology to see them, too.
Spell Niantic wrong and itâs NyanticâŠ
Our cat overlords have given us this gift
âMarian, my love, will you marry me?â           - âOh, darling, I thought youâd never ask me!â
1/100 days of productivity //No summer classes means LSAT prep. The logic games today kicked my butt but hopefully this early practice will be helpful in the long run//
The Devil in the Details, a piece on the idea that it is hard to know anyoneâs true self.

go outside. go on an adventure. find some people living in forests. watch your friends die. come home a changed person after witnessing the horrors of war.Â
me: *calls a person my own age âkidâ*
I honestly hate how art and media have kind of romanticized the idea of like âgoing off your meds and being your true self againâ because like I started taking antidepressants and like immediately got a new job, found a place to live, improved my relationships with people in my life and completely reconciled with my sort of estranged ex-girlfriend?? Medication can be rad and while I realize that itâs not for everybody I donât think anything should be trying to convince anyone that being on medication inherently makes you less of who you are
(Most) Medication is for helping you to be you again. The real me isnât tired by just walking to the train station. The real me is not my anxiety or depression. They donât define me.
The real me is who I am when Iâm not anxious and feeling worthless 24/7.
Medication is supposed to be the chemical equivalent of glasses or a wheelchair, depending on the severity of impairment. It tries to help you compensate for what has been taken, been broken, or is missing.
In particular, i always hear the myth that anti-depressants give you âartificial happinessâ⊠no, no, no. They give your brain the ability to be happy. You wonât always be happy, and sometimes youâll be sad. But the happiness youâre able to feel when youâre on meds is your own, real, happiness.
SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE NEUROTYPICALS IN THE BACK!!!
I mean this is important for neurotypicals but itâs honestly more important for people who struggle with mental illness and hate being on meds for a variety of reasons (aka me).
Take away med stigma! Donât deny yourself something that can help you live a more fulfilling life and donât shame people for their choices!
yay for meds
âsparkling waterâ sounds⊠so pure. so aesthetically pleasing. but in actuality? it isâŠ. Repulsive
