So I feel like, if you’re a person of faith, then a deeply-held religious belief will permeate all aspects of your life; it informs your ethics, your metaphysics, all that stuff, and consequently, your politics. And if you’re into some sort of animistic and/or ecstatic religion, then that should lead to you asking lots of big and uncomfortable questions.
So, like, I get people who get into Heathenry and then go hard into racial metagenetics and National Socialist mysticism; I hate them, they’re the enemies of my blood, I toast the gods at their misfortune, but I get them.
What I definitely do not get are all them people who’ll look you dead in the eyes and with a straight face tell you: “My religion was born in the darkness of impenetrable forests in ancient days when lawyer-priests would read Truth in the entrails of dead men, in an ancient time when the world was yet young and Rome was strong with the arrogance of youth; it reached its zenith on a blasted island of ice and fire and black sand amongst people who sailed fearlessly across the world in open boats and spat in the faces of kings. And that is why I’m a registered Republican who upholds traditional American Christian ideas and values. I believe that my one-eyed god of madness and ecstasy and death would’ve wanted me to vote for that there reality tv man. Don’t you think that Arminius Sigmundusson or Sigrid the Haughty would’ve done the same thing?”
Nearly 2.5 Million American Children Are Homeless
FUCCCCCK!!
Not enough people think about/realize that a good chunk of the homeless population consists of people under 18. And some are really gonna look at them and say it’s their fault they’re homeless or they did something to deserve it.
When I invested homelessness in the town I was getting my undergrad in, I was stunned by how many were kids. Furthermore, it was simple enough to Google how many vacant buildings there were in the county:
More than enough for these children, their parents, and the rest to all have their own home.
Capitalism is fucking SHAMEFUL. I already cared, but that project fucking radicalized me on the subject of just giving away homes to homeless people.
the average age of a homeless person in the united states is 9 years old.
I fuckinf needed this
I have changed my views so much throughout the years when it comes to witchery and what is okay and not okay according to my own intuition and thoughts. I feel pretty fucking stupid for ever saying that tarot readings shouldn’t cost money. Then again, it was probably inspired by others I’ve heard that same statement from who scoffed at me wanting to even charge $2. 🙄
Charge whatever prices you want for your craft. If you’re good at something, you shouldn’t always do it for free.💸 (Especially in times like these)
No Content November
What is No Content November?
No content November is an invite to all creators that share their work on social media for free. The proposal is a month of no content at all (except paid content, like Patreon, Commissions, etc.)
What is the goal?
To show how much creators work everyday and how internet would look without all of what we do for free, and a lot of people take for granted. No at. No witting. No videos. Nothing.
How do I participate?
During the month of November, don’t share on social media any sot of work that isn’t paid.
If you are not a creator and want to participate, show your support to your favorite creators by sharing and rebloging their work!
+++ This is not a movement trying to guilt trip anyone, it’s a genuine problem million of creators face everyday, and sometimes actions speak louder than posts calling your followers to please share the work they decided to followed you for.
Our work can’t reach far if it isn’t with your help. A lot of people can’t support the content creators with money, because it’s hard, but there are other ways of show your support.
I’m not the first to say it, and I probably won’t be the last, but sharing, rebloging, sending nice comments, showing you enjoy the content, that is more helpful an valuable than you can imagine.
With reblogs you help us reach new people and you inspire us to create more content than before!
Thank you for your attention, and hopefully we can make the internet a friendlier space for content creators!
Might do this but I already feel bad for not updating anyway…
Well, I haven’t been putting out content anyhow, might as well keep the ball rolling.
Athena Worship
I have seen many blogs and people who worship different Greek gods and it is great that they share their experiences with everyone else. But what about Athena? I have not found any information about her, I asked her in a prayer to guide me and until now with her symbols I have been able to collect all this information. Athena is the goddess of military strategy, but do not compare her with Ares, she knows when to stop or when it is necessary to fight. It also represents crafts and knowledge. She is an excellent protector, and you can always ask her for knowledge. She was the protector of many heroes, gave them the strength to fight for their ideals. If you show her courage and are not afraid of the hardships she faces in life, rest assured that she will be proud of you.
What can I put on my altar?
Besides that you can put a small statue that represents it, you can also join the symbols of the snake and the owls, that represent their wisdom.
You can put a little olive oil to decorate your altar.
Crystals and herbs that represent protection and wisdom.
golden and red candles! They are her favorite colors. It may seem a little like Christmas, but concentrate on knowing how to combine them.
Offerings:
Crafts! Like origami, papercraft, cards, sewing or anything else you can do on your own with your hands. Even paintings and drawings.
Olives and olive oil.
Any type of food, formerly sacrifices were made in her name but now you can just leave her some cookie or whatever you want. If you share with her, she will thank you.
Prayers:
You can ask for strength to overcome a situation where you feel you have to fight for something. Something with friends, family or whatever kind of weight you have on top of and you need to fight for it.
Ask for knowledge for important exams.
Ask for her presence when you need creativity in crafts and then show her and thank her! She will be proud of you for putting all your effort into that.
You can always ask for clues or inspiration, she is very generous with the signs.
Personal experience:
The first time I spoke directly with her, I asked her for signs in dreams. They were dreams too heavy and full of symbols, I could hardly sleep but I felt rested.
Once I was desperate looking for my sketchbook, I could not find it anywhere. Internally I asked her to help me get it and I literally found it two seconds later where I never thought it could be.
When I feel fear for the presences in my home, it is enough to ask for strength to feel brave again. She reminds me that I am a hero, the hero of my own story and it helps me focus on myself.
Request your presence whenever I need to draw or work on something that requires creativity, makes me feel more agile.
While I write this I asked for your presence, it took a long time without making an offering for time problems and I wanted to write this for her. I hope it serves you and share it!
Hoping this help you!
Gods of Ancient Greece
There are many pictures of ancient deities where they look as if they’d be working in a brothel run by Conan the Barbarian. So I all the more wanted to give them a respectful and more accurate design. I drew them with their basic and most known attributes, but still I did neither try nor want to make this an archeological reconstruction of how the Ancient Greek depicted their gods. It is still just an artist’s interpretation, I drew them how I imagine them.
Since these myths are indeed ancient, there are in parts so many different versions of who is how related to whom and did what where and why (including various nowadays quite disturbing details), that I will give you just a very simple Who’s Who:
Zeus: The god of thunder, king of the gods, husband of Hera, little brother of Poseidon and Hades, father of many, many gods and demigods
Poseidon: The god of the sea, husband of Amphitrite, brother of Zeus and Hades, father of (among others) Triton
Hades: The god of the underworld, husband of Persephone, brother of Zeus and Poseidon (though Hades is not exactly from the Lollipop Lane of life, he is not an ‘evil’ deity)
Hera: The goddess of marriage, wife of Zeus, sister of Demeter and Hestia, mother of (a.o.) Ares and Hephaestus
Demeter: The goddess of harvest, sister of Hera and Hestia, mother of Persephone, who Demeter misses dearly when her daughter resides in the underworld for a part of the year (hence there are seasons where nothing grows)
Hestia: The virgin goddess of the hearth, older sister of Hera and Demeter
Athena: The goddess of wisdom, she emerged full-grown from the head of Zeus, protectress of the city of Athens
Apollo: The versatile god of healing, prophecy and much more, son of Zeus, twin brother of Artemis
Artemis: The virgin goddess of the hunt, daughter of Zeus, twin sister of Apollo
Ares: The god of war, son of Zeus and Hera, father of (a.o) Eros and various Amazons
Aphrodite: The goddess of love and beauty, born from the foam of the sea, wife of Hephaestus, mother of (a.o.) Eros
Hephaestus: The blacksmith of the gods, god of fire, the lame son of (Zeus and) Hera, husband of Aphrodite
Dionysos: The god of wine, son of Zeus (mother varies), husband of the (formally mortal) Ariadne
Hermes: The messenger of the gods, the god of trade and thieves, son of Zeus, father of (a.o.) Pan
Persephone: The queen of the underworld, the goddess of spring, wife of Hades, daughter of Demeter

One of the best things about withcraft is how it like… just becomes real.
Like all you have to do is say oh witchcraft looks fun, this stuff might help me, this MIGHT be real… and slowly it starts to prove itself.
I’m not even talking like, i cast this spell for confidence and now I’m more confident.
I mean how when our room was heavy with negative energy from my roommate’s anxiety attacks and I decided we couldn’t wait to make the cleansing spray so i put cleansing sigils on post it notes around the room near vents and windows, and then did some energy work to gather the energy on her side of the room and throw it out the window, andmy roommate who had been hiding in the corner poked her head up and said it felt better.
But even more than that I mean when later that night one of the cleansing sigil post its unstuck from the wall and floated across the room to stick itself to my roommate lying in her bed.
I also mean when I hear those stories where I’m like yeah you definitely qent on the astral plane.
And when I do a tarot reading to an almost strangerwho thought it’d just be a fun activity and ended up staring at the table in bewilderment because it pinpointed exactly what was happening in his life–even when as i was reading i was sure i was spewing bullshit.
I’m talking about the stories I hear about empaths, about clairvoyance, about energy, divination, astral plane, deities.
There’s times I doubt how real this stuff is, where I’m like this is just aesthetic and placebo effect… and then i hear a story or something happens and I’m just like yeah… this is real. This is happening.
It’s like as soon as you offer to the universe (or whatever your beliefs) a willingness to connect, an acceptance that maybe you can communicate with it, it’s voice becomes louder and more obvious and you can’t deny it like you once could.
Know what I mean?
getting a sign from your deity after a rough night is truly amazing
Today’s problem
what do chairs for dragons look like.
big comfy piles of pillows
Well, that don’t work in the scene I’m doing it’s too cute not to draw.
DAWWW SO CUTE :>
they use human chairs but really badly
Wait elongated chairs y’all. Eight chair legs instead of one, they can lie down majestically and put their chins on the table like they were always meant to.
@basiliskfree
I’m not sure if this is silly or a good idea lol
it’s not polite!
you’re a dragon manners mean jackshit nothing
excuse you dragons are pillars of nobility and composure
you’re a dragon. who’s gonna stop you? hmm? the dragon politeness upkeep taskforce?
I mean other dragons are really the only thing a dragon fears
Date a dragon who uses big comfy piles of pillows as chairs
Date a dragon who tries to use chairs for humans but has trouble
Date a dragon who uses elongated chairs made just for dragons
Date a dragon who is a pillar of nobility and composure
Date a dragon who rests their chin on the table
I love this post way too much not to reblog it.
AaaaAAAAAAAAAA
The cutest damn things Ive ever seen
@basiliskfree @noivern a solution: giant beanbag chairs
Draw that in a separate post also these
I just lay on the floor. Maybe with something soft under me.
Just… Idk Try
If I don’t reblog the dragon chair post, assume I’m dead.
