We have plot bunnies imagining people in The Glass Scientists creating operas and plays based on what they think happened between Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Hilariously getting events wrong.

You know who exists in the comic? Robert Louis Stevenson. Or his book, Treasure Island.

If the author in some way exists in the comic's universe, he could feel inspired by his own experiences to write another book about the multi-faceted nature men hide behind facades. Maybe he's even inspired by the events that transpired in London and wonders, "What did really happen there?"

Of course, he wouldn't be able to use the name Henry Jekyll (or Edward Hyde). Although it'd be perfect for the twist despite the differences between his characters and the inspiration. And Jekyll's a Scottish name.

In the wake of people celebrating the triumph of 'pure' Dr. Jekyll over 'evil' Mr. Hyde, a new novel hits like a grenade. Its ending reveals the hidden duplicity of the so-called 'reputable upper class'.

Curious about the outrage in not only London but the whole of England, and desperate for a different fare from those awful operas, Jekyll and Hyde buy the novel. They read everything in one sitting and stare afterwards at the ceiling.
